    I’m so lost what to do and I want to get into voice acting for anime so bad but I really am lost. Thank you for the videos man, I am hoping to learn more and more ❤

      For starters..listen carefully to all Timmy's video's, then continue to learn all you can about acting, voice technique, breathing, etc while practicing, practicing and practicing. Get a vocal coach and prepare to spend years training before earning a living from voice acting. Best of luck!!!

    As someone who has auditioned for crunchyroll and got in on the roster and cast in One Piece. I think a lot of it has to do with Location. Since Im based in DFW I think they value talent being local. I know a lot of people have home studios but sometimes they prefer if new people come in and record at their own studio.

      I would say that if that was the case they would probably mention it or remove the remote studio information on the google forum. But I have heard that there are some unspoken things they consider that they don’t list so I wouldn’t be surprised. But I do know more people who don’t live in DFW and have many anime credits more than I personally know those who are exclusively local to the studio. But, like I said in the video, I don’t have all the answers so anything could be true. Lol

    You answered moreso "how to NAIL an anime audition" than "where to FIND anime auditions" which is what I thought this video was gonna be about based on the title. I'm ready to audition but I can't find them anywhere.

      Checkout my other anime related content. There are quite a few videos I’ve done on the subject. I cover where to find the audition submission forms in at least two of them. It’s been a while so I’m not sure which one.

    Curiousity question - are you union?

    • @FunnyGuyTimmy
      @FunnyGuyTimmy  10 місяців тому +1

      As of right now, I am not. I live in a right-to-work state and haven't had many union-only projects in a close enough time to qualify. But if I was to go to Dallas and start getting more anime work, I might. Some streaming platforms will only work with union VAs now so I would want to open all opsibilities.

      Ah, okay. Cool. Was just curious. I work in audiobooks and I've seen your channel a time or two over the past several years. I try to keep my eyes (and ears) open for new talent, so I was going to let our managers know about you. We try to keep exclusively non-union though. Have you ever narrated an audiobook or do you just perform voice work only?

      Timmy would be excellent at audiobook reading. @@CynsCorner
