I don't see the problem with people singing along. It's part of the whole experience. Plus it's great fun, even if you suck at singing. If people want clean audio go and watch the official concert releases and stop complaining. (Sorry, just needed to get that out.)

Its fun when you sing along in a concert than just listen! So its ok for me with the ppl singing ;) I quite enjoyed it! Musers sing along lyrics riffs and beats! I know that! ;)

Assassin does a very weird rhythm in the verse. Matt was talking about himself forgetting, how hard Assassin actually was to play live.

It's the "Grand Omega Bosses Edit" part of the song that used to be in the middle before the second verse but somehow didn't end up on the album. Look it up and listen to it, it'll change your life.
It's from the "Grand Omega Bosses" edit of Assassin which normally comes in the middle of the song & with lyrics. Was a B-side version from back in the day.

I wonder if Matt hates sing Stockholm Syndrome because everytime I've seen the song be played, he tends to be very short with his delivery (i.e "I wish I could")
It's just a difficult thing to keep up day after day on tour. He could sing full pelt on every moment of every song, but at the end of a tour he'd probably need surgery to fix the amount of damage it'd do.
You see tricks like this all the time with professional touring singers. Conservation of energy is hugely important.
(See Hayley Williams of paramore for example of someone who overdoes it too often and has to cancel gigs etc)
