Thanks for a great video. It’s so much fun to learn how to get a perfect personal fit. The garments made this way are so comfortable.. How wonderful you had this time with your mother. Bye for now 😊 viewer from Oregon, USA
Lovely Vlog Tamlyn, I just love your enthusiasm. It is so special you can share your sewing with your mam, I wish my daughter was interested. I am 67 and have been sewing since I was a tot. I was taught by both of my grandmas but also this was a time where needlework was taught in schools. in fact I did both O and A level needlework. I became a needlework teacher in 1974and absolutely loved it. It made me a little sad that you weren't given the same opportunities as myself one of the things I always did and taught my pupils to do was to fir the tissue pattern first. It is so lovely to hear you are enjoying your new. found hobby. I love everything you make.
FBA full bum adjustment! I love it. I would need that every time too. How great to have your very own sewing fit fairy!! The retreat sounds great!! Loved the video!!
Hi Tamlyn, that sounded like a fantastic break and how lovely to go with your Mum too 💕😁. Your fabrics looked really great and I love the cat jersey 😻. Your shorts are coming on a treat and I'm envious of you having someone to help with pattern adjustments. The whole event looked amazing and I wish I was able to commit to something like that...one day hopefully. Enjoy your sewing Tamlyn and thanks so much again for sharing 💝👌😀😘
Would love to go to a retreat such as this, and I do plan on visiting the UK one of these days, wish my friends were into sewing here in Massachusetts.
Hi Tamlyn, hope that is a correct spelling of your name. I am returning to sewing after many many years and wondered if you could talk through the benefits of a overlooked and if it is possible to over lock with your sewing machine. Love your videos, like your a local girl because you are helpful to me in understanding different fabrics and were to find them locally.Hope all is well with you.🤗
I really envy your couragevto go to these meet ups xx I've wanted to go to the gateshead meet up for months but every time I back out ... I don't have many friends and find it hard to mix plus my sewing skills are feeble lol keep up your amazing vlogs so nice to see a Geordie girl doing good x
linda parker seeing people are so friendly and willing to extend a teaching hand, do try to summon your courage to go. I also have a bit of trouble with jumping in to unfamiliar social settings, but the worse that will happen is you feel a little awkward for a few minutes.
Hello, Your retreat sounded like it was fun. I was woundering if you would mind sharing how your mom widen the straps on her ogden cami, I tried once and it didnt work out. Thanks
Will you please tell me what is scuba crepe? I know crepe and I know scuba, but not scuba crepe. Is it like liverpool knit? Thanks. I would love to find another substrate I like.

How wonderful to have expert help fitting trousers. I need a full bottom adjustment also - tricky to accomplish by myself. Your shorts are great!
Oh, I just had a thought, It would be so much more convenient if Sarah could set up screen in one corner of the room to use as a changing area.

That's what's wonderful about the online sewing community - it connects people from all over the world x
I am glad you had so much fun, and learned new things about fitting. I think poor fitting makes more people give up sewing than anything else.

Forgot to say that I love your jumpsuit.
Thank you x
Your shorts look great. I'm still halfway though fitting trousers and keep putting it off. Wish there was a £1 market stall near me!
Hello,
Your retreat sounded like it was fun. I was woundering if you would mind sharing how your mom widen the straps on her ogden cami, I tried once and it didnt work out. Thanks
I think you’ve missed the link for the closet case info Tamilyn, could we have that please? Love your videos!
Oops thank you. I've added it now. x
Sewn on the Tyne thank you!
Sounds like the perfect weekend! I was wondering, did you take your own sewing machines, or were there machines provided for you to use?
Will you please tell me what is scuba crepe? I know crepe and I know scuba, but not scuba crepe. Is it like liverpool knit? Thanks. I would love to find another substrate I like.
I think the triangles on the cat fabric are cat treats.
Ahh I hadn't thought of that! x
