Thanks for the review! Very nice piece of equipment. The ability to zoom in and out also while tracking.... wow! Earlier this year I bought my wife a Hohem M6 gimbal for her phone with Ai tracking using no apps. It worked excellent so I patiently waited to see what they would come out with next. I just recieved a Hohem MT2 a few weeks ago and I love this Ai tracking technology that we have now! The ability to track on a gimbal with a mirrorless camera without an app and with hand gesture control is something even my EXPENSIVE DJI gimbals can't do. This Ai technology is something else isn't it. Keep up the great reviews and much continued success brother. 👊😎

WOW - that is a lot of stuff for a person who once lived in the desert naked. I love your story Marcus and completely understand since my brother who likes to work with his hands mastered at least two dozens professions and has a huge property to house all his machines. I actually got on your channel to learn about cameras and record my brother's "golden hands" as his friends nick name him.

Very useful. I mostly shoot videos by myself. So, this camera will be a big help. I like this camera.
I play around with a few cheaper pan trackers. I love these sort of things. I use them to track subjects or flip the cam around and steer the camera by moving around behind it.

It's nice to see a selfie stick shot in normal perspective instead of being in a fishbowl on the precipice of the universe for the whole time.
And it tracks you which avoids the vertigo inducing perspective switches done in most action cam software...it feels normal and conversational, which is helpful. I always feel like I'm disconnected from action cam shots because they're somehow warped looking no matter how much they process it.
yeah I like the way he makes review too haha. the camera tracking features seems next revel. I have my webcam from other company and i think it's not really good...
Thanks so much for the review! I think that these would make a great, very portable, three camera live streaming kit for panel discussions 😁 My only gripe is I wish that they supported NDI for live switching with VMix, Wirecast, etc.

I think I saw somewhere that DJI gimbals and Lumix cameras have some integration where they can do something similar to this, very interesting to see it coming from high end gimbal and camera combo.
Having lived in Vegas for 48 years, Red Rock being my backyard as well... all I can see is you running around in the desert while looking back at a camera. Not me, I've had my Rattlesnake life changing experience. I no longer run around at Red Rock without my head searching every step for Nope Ropes.
Markus; If your using your trusty Sony LX for the "Other than Obsbot" shots - it looks like the Obsbot "bests" your go to "LX" ( -in terms of clarity and detail ). Really! If you compare the shots closely I think most will agree: the Obsbot "Tail Air" puts out the superior picture!
I really like the different shots it provides you. 2-shot while selecting the person to follow, the other shot types you demonstrated, and it has object tracking. It would be great if it defaulted by putting you higher in the frame, by default. But I think you mentioned you can reframe it. I don't know yet, if you can save the reframe settings. If so, great.
I had it in Pano mode, I think Auto mode positions the head higher up

This is basically tiny 2 with micro SD and battery. I have the tiny OG and I can hook it up to my phone and record with it. The downsides are you need cable from phone to camera and your phone is basically powering the camera

I just love their wireless remote. I have not seen any PTZ camera with an optical zoom that comes with such a powerful and easy to setup wireless remote like theirs .. or do you know something ..?
@markuspix regarding the 360, there are hard stops on the left and the right so it won’t just continually go in circles as you run around it. Definitely is limited in that regard.

Just as I was looking at their Kickstarter page for this new iteration and wondering 🤔 "will Markus get this and run around the desert testing it?" Boom...there you are doing just that!
For Canadians it's about $600 to get one... bit high....bit very cool tracking... definitely a leader in tracking.
I'm considering this or the new Hohem MT2 gimbal with AI tracking. Have you checked that out? It can take any camera and track you since the gimbal has the tracking sensor! I believe the Obsbot has longer range though....but I'd love to see you run around the desert with it as well!

Thanks for the awesome review. Can the OBSBOT be set to include the whole body. For example, if you are giving gym or yoga classes, and don't want it to chop your feet or hand off from the frame.

That was all Auto. I had it on manual for a while and forgot to change it back and wondered why everything was too dark lol. They say they will have optional ND filters soon.
Would love to see how it works with multiple targets, also for the equestrians, 2 horses with riders in a paddock for example, will it stay on the same rider?

The bathroom shot looked kinda blotchy which is a bit concerning.

Hey, Markus, did the 360 tracking really do 360? I know the old one can, but Obsbot seemed to indicate on their site that the Tail Air needs an optional base to do 360.
Yes it needs the base to do that, however, it turns pretty much most of the way

If you like clunky complicated annoying gear that gets heavy in your hand and needs to be manually balanced in three different directions, then having to spend minutes trying pair up the gimbal software with the phone app that requires registration, password, updating etc, and then tying that to the actual camera and hoping they all talk to each other, then yeah. ...or you just pick up this lightweight thing and push the on button 😄
