    Gotta be careful with how high your sweeping foot is on the opponent’s leg, if he didn’t manage to take the weight off it as you pull him down that’s his MCL/ ACL gone

      You’re totally right about that!! But it’s competition he is not thinking about that. Unless it’s a submission and you want to be cautious then don’t rip a submission fast. But then again…. It is competition I’m taking your ACL home with me😤

    At 37 seconds he wins unless the ground is 2" of specially created padding. So, unless you plan on defending yourself in a bounce house; this isn't the greatest example of success

    Noice! PSA the same side trip from rear standing is risky against athletic people because your hips touch the ground and whoever gets their hips up first has an advantage. Check out the cross trip from the back to keep hip height over your opponent 👍🏻

    I had this ref at the last comp he was great, payed attention to all the rounds in my bracket like it was a ufc fight. I said it to him there but good job man I’ve had refs looking at the ceiling not interested at all before while I’m staring at them for the points

    Great grappling but I really dislike guard pulling, in my opinion getting taken down into guard or pulling guard should give the opponent a point.
    This would provide greater incentives for takedowns and aggression

(Even though i was going to fight you to do that anyways.) i wonder when we will realize EVERYONE wants guard and not for bad reasoning if you know you are going to get taken down anyways youd want to reduce the impact and control what position you enter. pulling guard does that.

      ​@@GrounddevLF Yeah the guard puller wants to pull to help be in a better spot. Well guess what? The other guy wanted to take you down so they dont end up in guard altogether. They want to end up in side control or half guard after taking you down. You dont want that so you pull guard that should give away a point.

    If you had stayed on top with the hooks on you would’ve got 6 point (4 for the back and 2 for the sweep). That a cool tip to get more points 👌🏽

      Takedown score points. Foot sweeps are low risk high reward and can chain to other throws or wrestling single/double legs. A good counter to opponents foot sweeps? A foot sweep!

      @@colm5244 okay your point? like i said if you are crying about someone not letting you take them down. it seems even more hilarious. so you were going to fight and struggle for a takedown but they saved you the energy and now your mad ? beyond hilarious. just say you cant pass. no one is required to waste energy fighting you for a takedown if you cant beat them then that says all that is needed.

    For that "table top" sweep work on keeping control of the foot / pant grip of the bottom leg they'd use to stand with and "technical stand" with just your elbow on the mat. More control and they can't scramble.

      @law4546 I’m not saying it’s the same. Slamming is a deterrent for pulling a bullshit move. You can’t finger manipulate because it’s dangerous and goes against the spirit of the sport. Jumping guard utilizes arbitrary limits to improve your position. Nothing wrong with the butt scoot but jumping guard should be allowed to be punished
