South-Indian singing sensation, Sid Sriram, arrived in Durban this week and will grace his fans with his silky-smooth voice at the Durban ICC arena, where he will perform at a power-packed concert, expected to be a sold-out affair, on Saturday.
Ahead of this, he was part of a press conference at Suncoast Hotel’s coveted lounge, on Thursday, where he was happy to answer questions about some of the songs and genres that he and his talented band will perform at the concert.
The Chennai-born superstar brought light to how he transitions between Western culture and Indian culture, explaining that music has always been a divine presence in his life, providing him with stable roots as he was raised in the United States.
Sriram delved deep to give young, aspiring artists the advice they need to overcome the challenges they face to chase their dreams.
The superstar, who has millions of fans worldwide, spoke to the Rising Sun about being in Durban for the very first time and performing for all his local fans.
Sagie Naidoo of Woodmark Events, which is staging the concert, explained some of the logistics of the event and how he and Woodmark Events navigated each twist and bend in the way of making the show a spectacle.
