- When I think back to one of the factors that helped me to succeed. It has always been basically not being too smart to prevent myself from going after something that might have slim chances. If I was logical, I would have given up after 1000 job apps, or studied for a year without much progress. But at the end, maybe being a little dumb helped me not think about it. I hope this help you realized that you don't need to be the smartest person in the room to make it happen. Here's my story on that..
Some of my favorite books that keep me motivate:

about me:
My name is Jeff, I grew up in lower class as an Asian American and got bad grades my whole life. I found my path to real estate investing (2m+ in properties) and have a successful day job as a Lead Software Engineer all before 30. My goal is to share what I've learned in my 20s that helped me become who I am today. no sales, no tricks, no games. Just pure advice from someone thats seen both the bottom and the top in this modern world.
I can relate, I always felt I was never that smart and was always the underdog always. But it is in my stubborn nature not to quit. Been coding for about 1.6 years now, almost 2. Just like you I struggled, and my biggest struggle has always been conditional and creating good logic with an if else statement, I always messed it up for a very, very long time. Now I finally get it after a very long time. True fundamentals are very important.
Great video, thanks for showing how humble you are.
At the end I feel like my stubborn nature paid-off. It sounds like it will be for you as well. Thanks for sharing and I always appreciate your feedback and story. Lets keep grinding.
@@AdviceFromADad I follow your content you always have interesting stuff to share.
Thanks for the words and encouragement it really helps I was skeptical just because of everything going on in the SE community
@mrpib272 Im glad this helps. You can do it, keep on moving.
I relate so much, I am about to graduate bootcamp in about a month. I also come from a blue-collar background. i was a plumber with no degree and it does feel like I am going against the grain. It is pretty discouraging at times when I compare myself to those with degrees and a cs background. I OFTEN think is this really possible haha. This was very refreshing. Thank you!
It definitely is possible, don´t give up!

Thank you for the support.
I personally know friends and family members who have degrees and work at jobs that has nothing to do with their degrees
I wonder what the percentage of folks that arnt doing work related to their degree even after 10 years past college is. I appreciate you sharing.
I wish it was the same for Animation
I know it’s hard man. Keep on moving, keep on believing in yourself.
@@AdviceFromADad I tired I really tried it's becoming either lose money or do a boring job I hate to not want to see 50 or 40. Again times are hard I understand people are saying the jobs are everywhere but it's not like Japan where companys do a expo like event to become a dev, animator, JR engineer while the us they rather see you die one less mouth to fead.
Now US has job fairs but come on 100% of those are janitors or fast food wich is sad.
