I have had a vacation home in Lancaster County near New Holland for 43 years. I have done business with some of the vendors that I saw in your video. I can't believe that I didn't know about this event. I will put it on my calendar for next year. Thanks for sharing.
We've supported the Gordonville, GAP and Bird-In-Hand Mud Sales for the last 15 years - but this auction looks amazing. We will attend in September 2025 for sure!!
My brother lives near this event. I may attend! We have traveled several times to the Air Works Consignment Auction in Mt. Hope, OH. It is much more a tool and equipment auction and less of a show. Air Works sells Thursday-Saturday with about 16 rings running at the same time. We have traveled from MO several times to attend and purchase from this Amish community auction. Bargains have been good enough for us to take a trailer and haul a load home. I went one year and purchased a factory built rotary phase converter. I had no Amish competitive bids! I scored for $10. This converter has been powering my hobby machine shop for several years. I have outgrown its capacity with larger machine tools, but that converter alone was worth the drive to OH. The Amish seem to focus on woodworking over metal working. Does this sale have any machine shop focus. I do both, but my woodshop is pretty complete. My machine shop has more room for growth.
I really enjoyed your coverage at this event. I'm definitely putting it on my calendar for this coming year. I am surprised at the apparent acceptance of being on video from the Amish attendees. Generally, with orthodox Amish, that would not be permitted.
The Amish guy we use to paint our windows uses a gas powered paint sprayer. And he has a giant Wood stove for heat and skylights for lighting obviously. My cousin who lives in Ohio had the Amish build his 1 house and said there are certain rules when it comes to using electric tools. I can't remember what he said they were. That was 25 years ago.
AmishPA did not get footage of all the solar power systems, nor the inverters that power household appliances with DeWalt and Milwaukee batteries. He also missed the Amish telecom and computer service companies. The Amish are by no means technologically impaired (to quote Weird Al's Amish Paradise song). Check out the photo essay on the Little Mountain Printing Eastool page. That will give other scenes not seen in the video.
@@Mimi-ry4dt It's pretty funny that we consider what we just got, lots of snow, but it is the most I've seen in three or four years. I got about 4" at my house.
well bounce back like a flock of jack rabbits from the buckeyes game good thing majority took the buckeyes the pay-out wasnt such a dent in my pocket book
I have attended these auctions in Amish country. They bid as high as 75% of what a machine or tool would cost new. The norm is 25%. These bearded boys have deep pockets. I do not go to anymore Penn. auctions. You will not get a good deal there.
tHanks for taking us along. I saw a Made in USA in there!
@@Dancing_Alone_wRentals , thanks for watching and the comment. I really appreciate them.

I’m with you, this would have been fantastic. How do I find out about the next one?

All the ypung boyz sporting their new straw hats, Kind of funny see the Amish checking out the power tools
This is exactly what was blowing my mind hahaha😂
I always thought that Amish didn't want to be videoed or picture taken?
For those that haven't seen them before, 17:13 is a bank on wheels, I saw my first one last summer.
Yes, the Bank of Bird in Hand brings their services to their customers if they wish.
@@LancoAmish It's a great idea, especially for rural areas.
Can you find some Amish made horse drowned wagon or trailers or stage coach’s 👍🏼🇨🇱
Would of been nice to see what they are bidding on.

You don’t need those cheap tool shows/theater any more…. You have Harbor Freight
