@@user-unos111True, but both Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 promised a third game that never came. VJ2 literally ended right where the third game would have started, where we would have learned the secrets and origins of the V-Watch and the Black Film!
The problem was that everyone at clover, the guys that gave a crap about VJ left Capcom. They couldn't continue it at Platinum because Capcom owns the rights

@taidakun_ig Yes, but not one of them fit either the "third danger to the world" that Captain Blue prophesied or the "origins of the V-Watch and the Black Film" that Jet mentioned. We did get a nice story to establish and sort-of flesh-out Jasmine as well as Joe and Jasmine's mom in Double Trouble, but that's really about it; Red Hot Rumble didn't really bring much to the table in terms of the grander story.
I'm kind of sad we never got a third Viewtiful Joe game, where the obvious escalation for the final battle would be across the arms of the Milky Way.

1, 2, Red Hot Rumble, and Double Trouble.

Someday, Capcom needs to finally make Viewtiful Joe 3.
Interestingly, both Hideki Kamiya and Capcom are on board with making a third game, it’s just matter of timing and general interest at this point. Hopefully, they’ll get around to making it someday.
I could imagine that if they did make VJ3, that it’d be more mature and adult oriented story wise, as the audience who played the original games in the early to mid 2000’s are all in there 20’s and 30’s.
Did anybody else get straight up chills when Joe and Captain Blue posed down for a few seconds before getting into it?
First time I played the game. Still do to this day.
The music playing in that scene is a call back to the overture at the start of the game when Captain Blue's film starts along with the same font as the title movie along Joe getting his own title drop.
@@LostCourage I even like that their title cards get their own sound effect and font style, just wish they were given their own color, brown for both kinda of lessens the art style, make Captain Blue's title card be yellow for Captain and blue for the word blue, and make Viewtiful rainbow colored and the word Joe either red or hot pink.

It's literally in the lore that the earth is supposed to be attacked 3 times. I don't know where the heck Double Trouble fits into things, but besides that, we still don't have our 3rd Attack.
I remember this boss fight on GameCube...man it was tough! Now I REALLY hope they bring all the Viewtiful Joe GameCube games to the Switch Virtual Console!!

Fire leo was a tougher boss battle then captain blue. I hated his meteor attack that he would spam with his charge attacks.
Viewtiful Joe Final Boss is Joe's girlfriend's dad, Viewtiful Joe Double Trouble Final Boss is Joe's dead mom, Viewtiful Joe 2 Final Boss is Joe's own dad... am I the only one seeing a pattern here?
At this rate, the final boss of Viewtiful Joe 3 would have been his girlfriend's mom.
And I guess if they made a viewtiful joe 4 probably some weird thing will make Joe fight silvia being mind controlled or his sister being mind controlled

@TAVARIUS POWELL There's a game on the Nintendo DS called Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble. It's not QUITE Viewtiful Joe 3, but it does take place after Viewtiful Joe 2.

the anime or the game? the game never got a third one like we we're promised and the anime had a second season that kinda of gives us closure for the series
