Personally I'd have liked to have seen some form of level scaling that way you could do any part of the 3 stories in any order you want.
Agreed, I kept thinking "Oh shit, I forgot to do the gym!" and then having to go back and the leaders being a cakewalk.

@@raikazuchi I ended up using 1 Pokémon to beat most gym leaders cause I found the girl too annoying to deal with . I did the legends path and did everything except the last one
I just started playing but it seems like everything lines up pretty well I’m on my way to the second gym and the first titan is literally on the way so ima do that before going to the gym and by the looks of it most of the game is gonna work that way
This game not having level scaling made it the most fun Pokemon game in a long time for me. It actually made the game possible to be hard
Im an OG pokemon player. Im talking about OG red blue n green. You younger folks are so accustomed to so many amazing games and have had pokemon around all your lives. Pokemon was new when i was 10 and ill never forget the absolute joy and fun i had collecting the cards and taking my gameboy everywhere and playing my pokemon on it. Back then there was no online play, playing video games required a tv. So to be able to play pokemon on your little gameboy ANYWHERE anytime was like, life changing. All you needed was batteries n light to see your screen. I havent played a pokemon game in SOOOO LONG. I thought about doing so here n there but things seemed so different so i would change my mind. After beating TOTK i needed something to play and i just didnt even hesitate in buying violet which i should know better but i got lucky and this game is so much fun. I remember daydreaming back in the OG gameboy days of having a pokemon game where instead of the pokemon randomly appearing in bushs, you could actually see them and run up to them ect, basically exactly what we got here in violet. I wish i could let my 9yo self play this. I dont think id eat or sleep, just play this.
Another thing to not is version exclusives. If you join someone’s Violet game through the Union Circle from Scarlett you have access to there version exclusives and I found this out by complete accident. My partner hosted a local coop through the Union Circle and we were musing about if we could see each others exclusives or not and turns out you can and even catch them. So players can get exclusives without trading by hopping into the other game via coop

Thank you! I’ve wanting to grab Scarlet and my husband Violet but we weren’t sure how the exclusives would work or if we should just buy one copy and save money. Wouldn’t be worth it if we couldn’t hop around the others version. That’s awesome info thank you. I haven’t even seriously considered picking it up yet as I’m still finishing up Arceus and my husband doing post game Sword and Shield rn, just the games we have fun on. But that’s awesome info to know for when we do go to buy. Thank you!

The overworld shinies not making a sparkle is such a baffling decision Ive no clue what to think
Nobody knows how many shinies you'll miss just by not noticing the colour palette or just not noticing the Pokémon at all, Ive almost missed a shiny Toxtricity and only got it because I went like "hmmm, isnt it a bit too pink?"
Dude we literally use to travel blindly through patches of grass and just hope for the best. Stop complaining

Your average kid wont even notice a shiny, and those that want shinies wont shiny-hunt in the overworld because thats an inferior option to outbreaks or breeding
The only thing no jingle achieves is making people miss out on shinies no matter what, for no reason
Yeah I cant understand this and hope its something thats fixed in an update but feel it might not be, Ive already thought so many times about the shinies Ive missed just because you find yourself racing around the region :( feels bad ngl
Might be so people don't just roam around mindlessly and have to interact with the pokemon more but I still agree that there should be some sort of sound indicator.

There's actually 4 quests/ campaigns. So lots of depth and content. No one mentions or talks about it. But you get a nice detailed 4th one after doing the first 3 campaigns. 🙂

Seriously, this cannot be understated. I've learned to completely avoid the internet whenever a new Pokemon game is afoot, almost impossible to avoid spoilers. They even show up in your damn notifications! What ever happened to being surprised?
@@nickhartman6372 Its been very frustrating for me. I got back into Pokemon with PLA (omg so good) and was mostly spoiler free for that because I got into it so late, so this has been surprising to say the least, I disnt even know games could have spoiler ffs
That ignore shiny system for auto battle can make shiny hunting easier as you can simply look for what mons are being ignored.

It's a real shame/disappointed that some of my favourite Pokemon like :
Fire Type: Vulpix, Ninetales, Ponyta and Rapidash.
Water Type: Milotic, Lapras, Lanturn, Starmie, Sharpedo, Goldeen and Seasking.
Electric Type: Manectric, Zebstrika, Emolga and Boltund.
Ghost Type :Chandelure, Golurk and Aegislash.
Dark Type: Absol, Liepard and Liepard.
Flying Type: Pidgeot, Swellow, Swanna and Mandibuzz.
Bug Type: Beautfly, Butterfree, Mothim and Escavalier.
Fairy Type: Alolan Vulpix, Ninetales, Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash.
Normal Type: Delcatty, Lopunny, Cinccin and Glameow.
I also can't believe that Charizard is appearing in Scarlet and Violet Games while Venasaur and Blastoise are not, it's as if Charizard is becoming more popular than the other Kanto Starter Pokemon and the fire starter Pokemon from other region even more.
But I am glad to see the Kalos Starter Pokemon are returning in the Nintendo Switch, I'm just hoping in 2023 that there will be a DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet very soon so there's a chance some of my favourites POkemon will return just like they did for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Very good tip before you play content video especially without giving away any spoilers. I would give this a 10/10 if there was a system in the UA-cam algorithm but there isn't so either way really good job.

good to know: Leveling up lower level pokemon does not make them disobedient
It should also be worth noting that pokemon do not evolve if leveled up via auto battle. Not sure if this was intentional by gamefreak or if my game had glitched up or something.

@@Simar94 ah ok. That kinda sucks but it's not a huge deal if all your pokemon are already evolved I guess.
@@BleedingDaze01 I agree. It's not a huge deal but it was slightly annoying in the early hours because I didn't want to look of evolution methods for the new Pokémon.
They should've added an Icon similar to the "new move" icon and allow the player to trigger the evolution in the menu - similar to PLA.
If a tm is used, does the move get added to the "learned" moves of the pokemon? Like, if it was swapped out, could it be swapped back, or would you need another tm?

Good info to know about wild Tera is you cannot one shot it. It has a false swipe effect so don’t worry about knocking it out
How has the technical issues been with everyone so far? I’ve been hearing it varies from person to person so I’ve yet to get my copy until it’s been fixed.
I just want to correct you level 6 Raids is not the Max.. Through special events you can see level 7 and level 8. There's actually a level 7 raid event planned for December already.
I had autosaves turned off due to bugs in passed games soft locking you. so when my game crashed and I lost 2 Titans and a Gym I was pretty upset. Found a work around for it tho, apparently the game still does a sort of autosave? When you open the game and are on the main menu just hit x, b, and up on the d pad. It brought me to a menu to choose a save that was from flying to a center just before the crash.

this makes no sense there is a badge for every single type of Pokemon except there is no dragon type badge they could easily have made a team star crew member that uses Dragon type Pokemon.
Another thing is I hate the fact that you cannot change out of your school uniform and plus they also should have made it to where you can join team star
yeah the character customization options suck in this game
@@Osirus no, it's the best it's been in the series, the clothing options do suck though. It's important to distinguish the two.

The lack of a Shiny jingle is hell for someone like me, who can't see any colour. That jingle *needs* to come back, otherwise fuck colourblind people. We'll never know most of the time.

ONE HUGE THING missing..
AREAS you have been to on the map being marked!
There should be a transparent draw line for every place you walked
like other games, It would be cool to know the places you walked through besides just fly points!
Imagine an imaginary free hand drawline that goes along with where you go!
that way if you have been to an area it will show you where you HAVE NOT BEEN!

Really sucks you can't toggle switching your Pokemon in battles to set. Makes the battles a bit too easy if you go with it.
I'm still 9 hours away from being able to get my double pack but thankfully my friend is lending me his switch so I can trade over all 3 starters to violet

I’m colorblind so shiny hunting is over for me :(
Send your mon out to fight and it won’t fight a shiny. In the bottom corner it will show your mon have little sweat beads. Then go encounter the shiny yourself and it will have the shiny animation. It will be harder for you than others but there are still ways to tell if a wild Pokémon is shiny.
Tip #1 dont choose quaxly and let Nemona get Skeledirge unless you have a death wish.

One of my Pokémon are normal and fairy type but it’s tera thing is fighting type
The game won’t let me teach it any fighting type moves by using TMs so what should I do?

I got dragonite lv 55, it obeys me and i have 1 badge(bug). Got the dragonite from egg.
If you hatch or catch a Pokémon in your game it will always obey you. The obedience/disobedience of Pokémon only affects traded Pokémon.
@@eddyram4932 nope, the parenet of my dargonanite, dragonair (lv 54) doenst obey me and same with pokemon I caught lv 25 and up.
@@eddyram4932 What Im saying is the pokemon you grinded up have ablosute obidience to you no matter what level or gymbadges you have.
Having just finished the game I am kicking myself for somehow missing the automatic battles
Switch is a bit more powerful than the wii u, which is alot more powerfful than a ps3, but the game looks like a unnoptimized wii game....

Yes and you can catch the version specific pokemon this way.

I just finished arceus. Didn't have many expectations based on graphics. Cause let's be honest.... arceus is possible one of the worst graphically looking games of 2022... like seriously I thought I was playing Duke nukem on dos. The mechanism were alright but lacked the same structure as previous games. The focus there was exploration and battling was an option. I far more enjoy scarlet so far. The story and environment are 10 times better. I can over look the draw distance issues and lags spikes.
The terathingy mechanic looks hideous. Fun idea, awful visual execution.
Is it really true a pokemon wont attack a shiny pokemon in lets go auto battle mode? Has anyone else tried this out? Because that might come in useful for me to find harder to see shinies because i have extremely bad eyesight

can you get the starters hidden ability from the starter selection or do you have to breed?
Gonna have to wait until they're released through gifts, as you can't breed or soft reset for HA on starters.
Does skipping cutscenes get rid of all the dialogue?

These aren’t tips. The game literally will tell you most of the stuff you just mention in the early stage of the game . Only reason why none would not know these so called tips is if they are just that lazy to not read any text during their gameplay

Nah quaxly just provides more value for a playthrough than any other starter 😂, fuecoco(skeldirge) most of time ends up dying to a couple of hits if u don't set him up so its better to use him late game for tera raids , sprigatito(meowskarada) is basically garbage due to its typing along with its absymal defenses. if it doesn't ohko ,it's dead that turn lol 😂

I would have known about the Chansey Hack.
But how do I throw poke balls up in trees to get the ones that hide up on branches or fly around?
You hold the back R button to throw the ball right? You gotta press and hold the back L button and be in the right position so that looking at the Pokémon you can see it’s name above it, and when that happens press the back r button to toss a ball at it
@@illyachan5901 it seems this feature unlocked after going to pokecenter a few times and getting the “tip” then I was able to do it
Is there anyway to turn off the map orientation?? I just want it to not move everytime I go off it
Press down the right joystick on your controller when you have the map open, it will lock it to North. This is something that really annoyed me too.
