Do the cams just set down from where they were taken off? sorry if this is a dumb question its just I removed the cover to replace the gasket and they popped up. I decided to remove them completely as there is some fragments of oil screen from the cam bridge I wanted to clean out. Cheers for the vid.
Did you pin the tensioner? If not, you are going to have to remove the front timing cover plate and start from the beginning because the tensioner will be fully released. Once the tensioner is reset and engine at TDC on cylinder 1, then yes, you set the camshafts in place with timing marks approx close, the cam tray (top valve cover) will compress the cams into the valve springs. Then you start the cam timing process.
