Judy, we did get a little misty, but the ocean breeze was great. We did out 10 year stint in Cobb County. Nice to be out of the traffic. Be safe out there.

This will be our 4th winter at Rainbow Plantation when we arrive next month. Also we always visit the Fish River Grille in Foley, but for that time when we are not down south we will make a big pot of Swamp Soup to share with our friends.

I Have been bragging and recommending the "swamp soup" from the Fish River Grill for the several years we RV down to Gulf Shores every year for Thanksgiving. we LOVE that place or more specifically their Swamp Soup and the Beignets for dessert. !!!! Don't eat too much or you'll be "well rounded" like me ;-)
No kidding. We found Fish River Grill 2 in Foley several years ago. Love that place. Now understand they sell the Swamp Soup by the gallon and will ship. Crazy. It’s a fun place with great folks. Think about us when you go back in Thanksgiving.

We are “newbies” to RV travel and recently joined Escapees. Rainbow Plantation looks like a great place. Have you and Joan stayed in any other Escapees campgrounds? We were wondering about them and you certainly can’t beat the price!
If you've never camped at Gulf State park in Gulf Shores on Lake Shelby, I highly highly recommend it. I've camped there before and it was so nice, plus Lake Shelby brings back a lot of memories for me, myself and my dad fished there alot. Did you visit pensacola any during your visit

Great question Jennifer. Think of a wagon wheel. The center is the hub. So we find a campground somewhere in the center of an area we want to explore and the spokes are the roads to the sites we want to visit.
