I'm studying for an extensive and hard law exam (pass rate is 37%), I failed once already and I *have to* pass it on the 14th to enroll into my 4th year of social work. I've been studying for 1.5 months, 11 laws + theory.... Safe to say I'm feeling burnt out but I must keep going. You explaining the sheer volume of what you had to learn to pass USMLE1 gives me hope that, if you can learn 1000s of pages, I can learn 286. Congratulations on 450k subs, totally deserved. And congratulations on passing the exam!!! You're inspiring.

My Step 1 exam stress was one of the most unbearable things in my life. I couldn't eat anything and keep it down for about 24 hours before the day and when I left the exam, my dehydration and hunger came back and I felt like I was on a deserted island for 1 week. I did really well on the exam regardless :)

No need to worry, there’s still the BMAT and there are actually a few unis that have a lower emphasis on the UCAT. Plus most people, myself included when I applied to med school, always walk out of the UCAT feeling disappointed but at the end of the day the UCAT is one of many factors; as long as you apply to uni that don’t highly prioritise a high UCAT (the general consensus being a high is ~ 700+, with very high being ~750+, and 800+ being exceptional, though remember that average UCAT scores tend to go down every year).
