Car setup is actually pretty important. I urge everyone to try and do their best to figure out all the adjustments your car has and what they do and effect. You can only go as fast as your car can handle. If your car is too loose and you can’t really handle it, you are probably going to be crashing a lot. Try your best to figure out what to do and try making changes, don’t just put up with it. Try this for starters, make a change in one direction and try the car out, if it’s good, nice, you are headed in the right direction. If you can keep going in that direction I say do it, it might be even better or you might have gone too far so in that case, go back to where you just were. If you make a change and the car is worse, you are headed in the wrong direction and try heading in the other direction and see what happens. I do this all the time with adjustments like shock angle, shock springs, roll centers, camber link locations, rear toe, Ackerman settings. Here is something neat to do; watch the other cars on the track and see how hooked up they all are, this will give you an idea of how much traction there actually is on that track. Some cars are probably going to be hooked up really good, dirt tracks are funny, people might say it’s high grip but it doesn’t seem like it to you because of how your car is handling. I have been there and in all honesty you have to extract the grip out of your car with setup, I call it unlocking the secret grip of your car. I know it can be intimidating and tough at first but don’t give up, the more you do it the more you’ll notice what’s going on and you will start to be able to make educated guesses on what you need to do…… setup is pretty important

Just found your channel recently and am loving it l. I would really like to see a video with suggestions for entry level 1/10 scale 4x4 stadium trucks I've found the X-ray and tekno but those are a little out of my range for starting

I genuinely don't think this chap’s made a bad video. I’m not sure how I can help promote him but these videos would benefit a lot more people than what he has as subs… It’s nice when one finds a channel that isn’t some idiot - who’s JUST STARTED doing something, making videos telling people how to do that think they’ve got no real experience of. This channel is the antithesis to that kind of BS.

Hey hey, please keep up the fine work old bean. It’s a disgrace that you’ve as few subscribers as you have, something I’ve said before, but if you’re enjoying making the videos, please continue because they’re exceptional!! You really put some effort In a you continually strive to cover aspects of the RC racing world that others don’t. It’s a mystery to me how you’re not a leading RC (and I despise this word) influencer. Nobody on this platform could influence me into anything, considering 97.4% of all UA-camrs are below the median intelligence level of their respective countries. However, I’d confidently gamble that you fall squarely into the 2.6% of knowledgable/well-researched/good egg species of UA-camr. What’s more, I listen to you and am genuinely better for it. I’m not new, I’ve just been out of the game for 20 years and a fresh perspective, especially from someone 20 years younger, is very, very welcome. Old folks like me that don’t listen to the younger generations are foolish to themselves. Most people my age think there’s absolutely nothing to be learned from anyone younger than they; fools! Anyway, good work as ever!

You make the best videos. I have been a fan from the start. I love humbleness and perspective. You speak to us normal guys. that aren't pros.
