@@spursfan1775 Stats don't tell the full story. If you actually watched both games, no way you'd think DeRozan had the better game. He had a terrible shooting night and actually crumbled during the clutch a little bit, missing some very good looks and having some turnovers. He was just lucky that Murray choked even more. Compare that to Kawhi who made some big shots down the stretch, although he did miss the potential game winner, which was an extremely tough shot.
So Kyle Lowry scores 0 points and the Raptors loss, and Demar scores 18 points and lead his team to a win. Who was the real problem? personally I think they didn't mesh well together
Yes its true little kyle lowry was holding derozan back in the east and possible even coach dwayne casey .now with all star power forward lamarcus aldridge as his tag team partner and a new and improved rudy gay the spurs syand poised to upset the chicken nuggets who are not playoff battle tested and will fold under pressure .
And this is why coaching is key component of Championship contention...Malone is great at many things but he is among worse in business when it comes to game adjustments (decision making, calling plays and managing rotations) Nuggets offense sucks this year despite overwhelmingly talented roster...ever since offensive coordinator left (Fleming and then Finch) left they were getting worse, Nuggets are not running schemes that gets players in good shooting rhythm and that is resulting in cratered mid range and 3ball % and general inability to provide consistent offensive outputs This team is built for free flowing (unpredictable) high paced offense but Malone has constantly trying to turn them into stagnant slow grind (slow pace is not ideal but that stagnant movement is truly crippling our players efficiency and affect their rhythm), they were succeeding on talent gap disparity not because they out executed other teams (whenever they face upper tier coaching they struggle executing, unless they run Jokic PnR)... Bball game is all about spacing and timing (to make shots) if you mess with either of those you enter cursed cycle (where you need rely on overwhelming talent advantage or/and luck to survive)...most frustrating thing is that they are not taking good rhythm shots they generate (starting from Jokic) just to chuck contested/difficult jumper or drive into set defense, spacing is not just about making 3ball but when you neither shooting with confidence nor you are finding other ways to collapse D to get at the rim then you can't expect to score consistently...there is world of difference between missing consecutive rhythm shots and chucking bricks (Nuggets are often doing later) Nuggets are lot more talented team in this series and are still favored to get in next round but they will not get far unless they fix offense (regardless what you may have heard offense is far more important part, but its really hard to win unless you play both ends)...Nuggets offense has cratered from elite to uper tier and while that may not seems much it actually is huge step back and its become very predictable (especially considering its mostly unrelated to Nuggets defensive improvements)
Predragon idk about this take. Nuggets were getting great looks, they just weren't in rhythm. Malone put them in a great position to win, but Jamal Murray choked.... Pretty bad if we're being honest. That final play Malone drew up was perfect. Close range easy money shot, and he was wide open 🤷🏿♂️
@@conquered.kozmos1395 I agree with you, I'd more so put the blame on Murray for that wide open shot. Moments like that shows the need for playoff experience at this time of the year.
@@tsavage5447 SMH If you want to put blame on Murray then it should be because od sloppy turnover on last possession, not because he missed that shot (it bummer but even the best shooters often miss pull up jumpers, they got what they wanted but we were unlucky) Sloppy crunch time execution costed us this game, but actual turning point was in 3rd Q IIRC when we got at striking distance then failed to score on several possessions (bricking from distance instead of attacking the rim) and then White posterized Millsap to kill our momentum and separate score again...and that sequence is largely on coach and Jokic, Malone didn't called play for going inside the paint which is his primary job description (controling game flow) and Jokic was very passive all night and especially in those few possessions failed to take iniciative)
demar just needed the right coach and organization....notice how raptors blossom when they get out of toronto...jv, delon, demar, jacob p, coboclo, augustine.....raptors organization very poor at recognizing talent and giving players minutes and confidence in a team oriented system. they told demar he was a superstar, that he should take more 3's, etc. pop told him he was a good player if he played within the system, stayed with his strength, his incredible mid- range game, played better defense, made more assists and rebounded....forget the pampered super star shit like kawhi and be a great team player. all toronto had to do was hire stackhouse and trade lowry and they'd be very tough this year....instead they will be weak for years.
Demar has activated playoff mode for the first time in his career
Finlayson Demar has been woefully bad in playoffs while Lebron only had 2 or 3 bad series in that time span and Jordan just kept running in the to the pistons for years
Kyle Lowry also "activated" playoff mode with his zero points
I'm happy for him, as a Toronto native, it's great to see him on a team that knows how to play in the playoffs.
Murray tried so hard to be the hero only to choke fkn hard lmfao
Cruel humor isnt clever
Lowry was holding derozan back in playoffs
#02588 #02588 how did Lowry play 35 minutes and make 0 points.
and kawhi airballed the potential game tying shot bahahaha
Shaw m it was deflected, gasol had game winning shot but it rimmed out.
Demar Derrick Rudy Aldridge and Forbes all contributed
Its was a spurs game everyone eats 🍴. Pressure isn't put all on one player 👌
Spurs did not steal it lol.., they took it
hahaha... spurs miss a playoff this year.. 🤔🤔🤔
D White! ❤️
Lol. The raptors just lost today and Derozan just won his game. Lol maybe you shouldn’t have traded a loyal guy like him for one year of Kawai Lenord
It is only one game lmao
Kawhi was amazing today while demar still struggled.

Great game Spurs and u got to see that Denver has only two that are trying to do everything and if they get stop we will win this series!

you misspelled Derrick White
We’re talking about stats.
Playoffs is a different ball game maynnn
So far spurs won trade with kawahi
what if kawhi and white combo? + murray..
I'm no expert but I don't think Denver has the defense, toughness or the playmakers to beat Pop.
Murray choked so hard

spurs in 4

Didn’t even see a derozan bucket until 2:15
Other highlight videos are better
Why do the Nuggets play so boring haha
But Derozan also shot 6-17 !! Pop is making Demar look better than he really is. Both Derozan and Aldridge are terrible in the playoffs.
Facts Aldridge n DeRozen were bout to choke the game away 🤣 Bertons n white help seal this shit up
