This man was a testament to what you can make yourself with drive and commitment. I have seen this numerous times, i know the shots are going in and I’m still on the edge of my seat losing my mind. This was magical, and while the world still misses Kobe it’s amazing the mark he was able to make.
Not to ruin the moment, but...... this was a Jazz team who were eliminated from the playoffs the night before and clearly weren't trying their "best" defensively. They allowed multiple baskets from Kobe without much resistance. I love this game from Kobe as much as anyone because of what it meant in the moment and posthumously... but to say the Jazz were "trying" is laughable.
she heard all the cheers and was getting old enough to realize how cool her dad was not just to her but to other people. Every time I think about the accident I'm just stunned, it still can't and shouldn't be real.
He took 50 shots this game to get 60 points... his team was focused on feeding him the ball leading to the Laker's having a poor offensive game... do you even watch basketball??? This is not anywhere close to Kobe's best game.
The quick shot of him embracing and hugging Deangelo, Randle, and Clarkson at the end gave me shivers. All 3 of whom have moved on to become amazing players on their respective teams. I can't help but feel Kobe had some sort of impact on their future in the NBA
Anyone else noticed that on Kobes last FT attempt, Hayward intentionally tried to get a free throw violation just in case kobe missed that FT. He wanted Kobe to get that 60th point. RESPECK
When Jordan retired...Kobe stepped in and brought NBA basketball 🏀 to another level. In Kobe's career...he would find a way to give us fans hope when we are down in a game. Thanks, Champ!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 🥇🥇MVP..... The Black Mamba did whatever it took to win. I remembered those times.😢
Still remember tuning into this game and putting it on the background while doing homework, thinking it'd be a regular farewell game. Watching it unfold was absolutely insane
The fact that he had subpar performances prior to this and then watching him hit consecutive shots like that in crunch time and making a huge comeback to win it was thrilling to say the least
What a lot of people don’t remember is this was the same night the warriors got win number 73. I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings and for the first half, we were torn between the two. By the fourth quarter, the whole bar demanded Kobe be put on almost every TV. It was a surreal basketball night for those who caught it live.
I’ve always said this game is a microcosm of Kobe’s career: Shot a lot, scored a lot, came up clutch and thrilled us like only a select few could. Man, I miss this guy so much. Lucky to have been able to witness majority of his career.
Me too man, i'm so grateful to have seeing him. I started watching NBA in the 2008 and inmediatly felt in love with him and started supporting the Lakers. I miss him so much, even an interview of him, every time he spoke it was very inspiring for me and filled me with courage in delicate moments

Look at everyone's smile, even the camera people sitting recording. Crazy impact this man had, very rare to see. Hustle and dedication like none other.

Think about it like this… He took 50 shots. He’s literally an old man about to retire. This wasn’t garbage time, this wasn’t a defense being lax to let someone finish their career nice, this was one of the greatest competitors in history showing exactly why he was.
