if you have nice music, at some point you probably will become famous. but as with Avicii, he didn't enjoy it. he loved his fans, but he disliked the attention and touring and decided he wanted to just make music. you could be an avicii type person WITHOUT THE TRAGIC ENDING!
fl studio is best, not a problem with garageband or logic pro x if you know the perfect arrangement and composition you will come real good in edm music. i started at the same age as ellis than stopped a few years now i stand a lot farder then when i first started music production i know everything but i am now learning to fit it in to a perfect skio music remix.
No worries! Everyone's journey is different. I was working full time 7 years before I was able to pursue music full time for example. Wishing you all the best!
