Kind of yeah. Hell he even turns from enemies to fight friends on more than one occasion XD Most notably was when he clashed with Byakuya while they both clashed with Yammy.
Sidenote: Kenpachi was reintroduced in chapter 666, mark of the beast. His bankai form looks like a demon. And Gerard's vollstandig has angel wings. And when they clashed, it's reminiscent of that painting of Saint Michael fighting Satan. Pretty neat.

He is my favorite Anime character. RIP Yachiru, was his Zanpakuto the whole time. He was so damn powerful he literally physically manifested his zanpakuto into a being of free will and choice with her own off shoot of his power
I thought it was amusing that in the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler, his Zanpakuto was the only one that wasn't forcibly manifested, because she was always there by his side.
Kenpachi Zaraki unlike Nnoitra wanted to fight worthy opponents. He wasn't out for the win he just wanted the thrill of the fight and refused to fight against obviously weaker opponents. But I doubt that he could hold his own against Old man Yamamoto and Ichibe Hyosobe. Again great character analysis
In all honesty I think kenpachi would put up a great fight against them but but depending on how he fights with them cos his shikai and bankai is stupid strong but again yamamoto and ichiba both are very powerful but would be an amazing fight if would ever happen
@@BeatboxXgamer Definetly it'ld be an amazing fight, but Kenpachi wouldn't have a lot of ways to defeat Old man Yama, specially with the nature of his pwoers, since he'ld probably be burned by his flames before winning, of course he'ld probably be able to give some cuts here and there, but Yama has too much experience and one of the most overkill suited Zanpakuto in the series, and well, against Hyousube, he's very experienced as well, and he'ld probably have trouble against his Ichimonji's power. I honestly can't see Zaraki winning, unless Yama or Ichibe commit some huge mistake in the middle of the fight, but yeah, the fight would look amazing
@@BeatboxXgamer Yamamoto would incinerate Kenpachi before he could reach him. Ichibe would make him powerless. Ichigo and Aizen are too strong to be affected by Kenpachi.
There's something gratifying about watching Kenpachi step in and absolutely wreck an over confident villain that spent the last previous 2 episodes whooping the good guys butts. He's not overused either, which makes his appearances worth while, even though he's so overpowered. Sometimes it's just nice to see villains getting bent over by a character on the good side, instead of the other way around.
@The D4C Gang true, he even admitted that was why it backfired on him and tore apart his body. As for the other thing, I think it was his own arrogance and wanting to beat Kenpachi himself that kept him from doing that, as Grammy was pretty arrogant.
@The D4C Gang He can't do that simple. He is shown to create a person but not able to harm a actual living being and effects other people by using his creations in indirect ways.
I would like to hear more about his developing relationships through the story. That is what makes him way more interesting to me, how this bloodthirsty monster becomes into comrade with those around him. He is a case of study for what redeeming qualities can turn someone, who on paper seems to be worst of the worst, a violent psychopath, into likeable and respectable person.
Agreed. I LOVE that his Bankai is a Kishin Oni, a wrathful deity who smites the wicked. As scary as he *appears* Kenpachi is actually a good guy--and one of the best, considering the unshaking loyalty he inspires in Ikkaku & Yumichika. His squad really loves him, even when the other snooty AF captains looked down on him. He befriended Ichigo, and *always* helps him out, even when Yamamoto says not to (like in every single movie--I can't stand Yamamoto, TBH, lol). Though Kenpachi is the embodiment of fighting/battle, he's not the embodiment of bloodthirsty death/killing/murder the way Unohana is (though his command for Nozarashi is to drink blood, too). Tekking101 pointed out that his Berserker form is actually more similar to Arrancar Resurecciones than Shinigami Bankai, and that what separates him from Espada like Nnoitara, Yammy & Grimmjow is that he's not some psychotic serial killing sadist who butchers selfishly (even though Nozarashi is a meat cleaver). He kills to defend and protect, just like Ichigo. He killed untold numbers of people in Zaraki, cuz that was the worst part of the slums, full of ruffians & criminals, so he had to protect himself. He is the Soul Society's "monster," but he kills Hollows & Quincys to protect Soul Society from the *real* monsters. Kenpachi's my favorite captain, and my favorite character next to Renji & Urahara.
This just makes me imagine the Abridged scene when Ichigo fights Kenpachi in his head. " I am the spirit of battles with Kenpachi! I AM THE FEAR OF KENPACHI!"
This also explains why he consistently was able to defeat his doppelgangers. Like he stated, he was strong as me so I just became stronger. Doppelgangers copied his current level of power and he would just unlock bit more to deal with them.
Kenpachi’s Bankai is like Ichigo’s. He gains a new costume and looks, his weapon also changes, and he gain a stat boost. Ichigo gain great speed and Kenpachi gain absolute strength.
I'm not an anime veteran by any means, but this is BY FAR my favorite character. He has that "oh sh!t" presence when he shows up. His story combined with Yachiru made it that much better. Thank you for covering this. I heard they may continue Bleach in the near future!?!?! After the way they treated Kubo, and made him rush the ending was disgusting. I wonder how this would even work out?
I suggest you do a video going into deep depth about the relationship between Shinigami and Zanpakuto. Its a complicated one that deserves like 3 to 4 videos. Most of it is covered in the filler Zanpakuto rebellion arc which is why I love Bleach fillers. Zaraki's relationship with Nozarashi i feel is alot deeper than what is said to us. I somewhat feel that in Zaraki's battle he was subconsciously performing for Nozarashi to prove his strength as only the strongest is worthy of utilizing even a fraction of its power which directly reflects how Zaraki only seeks the strongest opponents as they are the only ones worthy of clashing blades with the strongest Shinigami. He ironically had the closest relationship to his Zanpakuto spirit yet was so far from truly understanding it. Shout out to Kubo for creating this series that speaks to a person soul down to its depths
I absolutely love this guys story... its amazing, its a shame they never put the effort into his story in the anime... I never knew he had such rich backstory until this, thank you for the great video.
Kenpachi is honestly my favorite character in the series! I always loved the way he fought like an absolute beast and never let up in battle. I would happily serve under him like Ikkaku and Yumichika do, and may we never forget Yachiru.
There’s a reason why Kenpachi was one of the 5 war potentials. The other 4 were obvious picks as Kisuke and Aizen are two of the smartest characters in the whole series with broken Zanpakutou abilities. One was the main character who had the powers of a Shinigami, Quincy and Hollow while the other is the leader of squad zero itself which is comprised of top tier captains. So for Kenpachi to be mentioned and compared to these monsters speaks volumes to his strength and potential for growth as he hadn’t even learned his Shikai form when he was named a war potential meaning that he was acknowledged as a threat when all he did was swing his sword around in it’s base form. He didn’t use battle strategy or foresight, didn’t use Zanpakutou abilities, didn’t use Hado or Kidou and didn’t need flash step to out manoeuvre his opponent. He simply swung his sword around and that alone was enough.

But take your time with whichever makes you express the art the best way you can. Here are some topics you can talk about in future videos: 1) Yhwach as a villain 2) Uryu's role throughout the series 3) Shingi and the Vizards 4) Yamamoto the Head Captain 5) Mayuri as a character 6) Ginjo and the concept of Fullbring 7) Each arc in the series and what they all represent Also, are there any other series whether it's anime, manga, tv shows, movies, or video games that you enjoy. And you could also collab with other youtubers like Super Eyepatch Wolf. Feel free to express your thoughts as creatively as you can. Thank You Once Again, and Keep Up The Good Work.
His introduction is one of the best I have ever seen in anime. Period. He was so freaking powerful, his design was so cool, he was so scary, and you knew that I Hugo needed plot armor or he was definitely going to die. All in all, an amazing intro. He stayed one of my favorite based on that alone.
I love Bleach so much; just recently, rewatched the series. I accidentally stumbled upon your videos, and I've been watching your Bleach character videos the entire day. While watching, I'm actually having a lump in my throat: reliving these characters and having you deliver new insights, which I don't know because I haven't read the manga, makes me love Bleach and each character even more. *tears* Thanks for your works! this video was absolutely amazing. im so glad you took the time to post this. i didnt know about alot of this, i dont read the manga or novels. but this just makes me love kenpachi way more than i already did
I like how Kenpachi teaches you while you fight him, telling you to keep your guard up, don't get cocky. He wants you to fight at your best so he can enjoy the battle.
I do wonder about the whole “strongest shinigami” thing - If old man Yama was “weak” by the time he fought Ywach the second time, how monstrously OP would he have been back when he was young? I love Unohana and her backstory, but given the little we know about her powers, I just don’t see how she could be considered stronger than the old man… It would be incredible to get some flashback scenes from the early days of the Soul Society in the new anime 🔥🔥🔥
Kenpachi isn't just a guy who loves to fight, he is the incarnation of a brawler and the personification of war. His character arc is him fully realizing not only his potential power but the potential to fully embody the title of Kenpachi in every single way.
I don't really care for Bleach, but I loved this dude. Watching him growing wild and excited everytime Ichigo cut him was great. He's got a berserker attitude towards battle, but he isn't necessarily overwhelmed by bloodlust. He is very aware of everything he is doing, consciously choosing to beast out the way he does.
Kenpachi was great because he represented an antithesis to the Shonen formula in a show and in an era of anime that was replete with them. Surrounded by people saying "I'm weak but I have to get stronger to save my friends. I have to master this new ultimate technique!" Kenpachi said "I guess I have to use two hands. That's lame."
Very interesting to me that one of Kenpachi's 11th division subordinates - Yumichika - purposefully seals his power by calling his Zanpakuto the wrong name. We obviously don't learn this until the Blood War arc, but Kenpachi has been doing the same thing from the very beginning. When Yachiru/Nozarashi appears, he doesn't ask for her name, he just names her after the only person he respected. Only when he defeats Unohana and lets her go can he actually hear what Nozarashi/Yachiru is saying and find out her true name.
The ironical thing about Kempachi is that all characters think of him as a low IQ high testosteronized barbarian with no codes of honor yet he has a code of honor and ethics. In fact he is more mature than many "mature' and civilised characters. He has the strongest reiatsu no doubts about that but he can be defeated by Shunsui because of one thing. he is yet to fully mature when it comes to his abilities and being an all round fighter. Nonetheless great analysis!
Zaraki would devour Kyoraku. Without his shikai. Just like he did Unohana. Sorry but the current head captain would know better not to fight Kenpachi in the first place. He would die.
Kenpachi is my favorite captain. I appreciate the explanation given in regards to his personality limiting his own power and his development throughout the series.
i always liked Kenpachi bcs when you get to the soul society arc, many characters have flashy moves and whatnot, not Kenny tho, he's just strong af, and continues to be strong af still glad to see his shikai and bankai, both really epic
🤣 Kenpachi taking off his eye patch should be considered a Bankai for him. Kenpachi: “BAN-KAI!” **takes off eye patch** Villain: “That’s n-not............ok”
I know you're just saying which would be great but if we considered that as a bankai then he wouldn't be as strong as he is but it's still awesome when he takes his eye patch off
In spirits are forever with you so ya azashiro asked why he lost to ichigo and asked why he avoided kempachi, aizen says when ichigo used his Shikai Kenapchi unconsciously puts his power equally with ichigo that’s why he lost he wanted to enjoy the fight .
Just imagine if he was actually able to be trained, and he wasn't feared to be a problem for all of the soul society. Might have seen a Kenpachi vs the old man during that training (assuming he unlocked parts of his power he didn't know was there). Might be dreaming but just the thought 🤤
To me Kenpachi’s charm (and why he is among my favorite characters) is that he is the purest distillation of a blood knight, a character type that Kubo is really good at selling. Everything about him is attuned to this pure love for combat.
I would have liked to see Kenpachi get his day where he actually learns how to use has shikai and Bankai properly and learns the name of a sword Kenpachi Zaraki is like Broly in Dragon Ball Z bloodthirsty and ready for battle
Awesome breakdown. Kenpachi has been my favorite from the very beginning. Monster is a good word to describe him. If he had endded up as an antagonist he would be final boss sort of material. The guy is a masochistic powerhouse that behaves like a train that gains destructive power the further off the rails it goes. My favorite part is that through all of it he is completely aware. People like him are usually portrayed as mad. Lost in their own minds and barely aware till the fighting starts, not Zaraki. At his core he just want a challenge and that means if his best chance at worthy apponent means letting a person "escape" so he can fight them in a stronger state then when he has defeated them he will simply walk away. If he thought that was even possible in such a case. He's easily my favorite character from the whole series and I'm really glad he didn't get written into a corner or fall into the background and get forgotten.
Kenpachi Zeraki, Hisoka, Thorkill from Vinland Saga, heck almost any Sayian from Dragon Ball love the thrill of battle. Goku, Vegeta and Gohan are good examples of fihhters who get so powerful that they eventually play with their food. Except Future Trucks, he's a serious cookie. Great Video by the way, got excited for the Bleach anime to come back sooner!
My favorite thing about him is that in all the movies he just shows up for 2 minutes in the most abrupt and dramatic way absolutely wrecking shit while laughing maniacally. And then leaves just as quickly as he came, he's a box of dynamite in plot form 🤣🤣🤣
When I saw him for the first time it felt like a kindred spirit. That wild abandon and thirst to be given a warrior's death. An unending battle. 360 combat. His laugh and smile made me do the same as I understood.
I honestly never thought we'd get to see Zaraki earn his Zanpakuto's name. When these things happened in the final arc, I was over the moon with hype. Though I was certainly confused by Yachiru's involvement at the time. I suppose it was never really clear to me whether the manifestation of the Zanpakuto spirit, usually to achieve Bankai, is visible to everyone or just to the Shinigami they belong to. So it was a bit weird that she was visible to everyone being a Zanpakuto spirit, at least to me. Also, a Zanpakuto spirit... that has her own Zanpakuto? I think that's even weirder. Sanpo Kenju was what solidified Yachiru as a physical person, so it's all the more jarring when she's a manifestation. I dunno. It's all very strange, but I can't say I didn't like the results. You almost always knew you were going to have a good battle if Kenpachi appeared, be it in the canon, filler, or movies.
Well, he sealed like 80% of his power, meanwhile his character is about fighting and freedom. Little yachiru is the literal personification of all that unused power that got bored to be ignored for centuries so she came out to play and have fun too ^^
I always told people I wouldn't even be mad if the entire show ended with Zaraki saying "Bankai" and then just a "Game Over" screen as Ichigo just goes, "This game blows." and the credits roll.
Blew me away with this video, honestly, Kenpachi Zaraki is easily one of my favorite character in bleach. His bloodlust knows no bounds, and now seeing him being truly awakened sent chills down my spine. I am now going to read the Manga, so I can see this stuff for myself!
The way I see it. Dude came from a rough background where he had to fend for himself, when he kicks ass he gets satisfaction of seeing his strength in action cause of the work he put in to get it so ofcourse he respects others that are strong cause theres a point of relation for him
What a great video. I always wondered why Yachiru never actually fought in the series and now I know why. Her purpose was never to fight, but was to help Kenpachi realized his dormant power and to rely on his zanpaktou
The fact that his Zanpakuto spirit was strong enough to become the Vice-captain of the 11th division is insane!!

@@asasdsaasda still Kubo probably did it in purpose knowing that kenpachi would have murked the espadas if he allowed it.
I personally believe Zaraki is a fan favorite simply because Zaraki’s entire demeanor is very villainous and savage. But, it’s one of the best displays of a good guy with authentic battle thirst in anime.
He's essentially an Anti-Hero. He just wants a good fight and nothing else.

Mankind fears what they do not comprehend, and Kenpachi truly can be that person.

He is my favorite Anime character. RIP Yachiru, was his Zanpakuto the whole time. He was so damn powerful he literally physically manifested his zanpakuto into a being of free will and choice with her own off shoot of his power
Dang i keep getting spoiled but i cant stop watching these videos lol
One thing that scares me: hollow Kenpachi
His mask just looks like a literal demon from hell.

I thought it was amusing that in the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler, his Zanpakuto was the only one that wasn't forcibly manifested, because she was always there by his side.
technically yachiru isnt his zan, more his bankai
Congratulations on the sponsorship!!
In all honesty I think kenpachi would put up a great fight against them but but depending on how he fights with them cos his shikai and bankai is stupid strong but again yamamoto and ichiba both are very powerful but would be an amazing fight if would ever happen
if they too strong, he just gonna use 2 hands. if they are still too strong then use all his limbs to swing his sword, very simple.
Those guys are pure hax
There's something gratifying about watching Kenpachi step in and absolutely wreck an over confident villain that spent the last previous 2 episodes whooping the good guys butts.
He's not overused either, which makes his appearances worth while, even though he's so overpowered.
Sometimes it's just nice to see villains getting bent over by a character on the good side, instead of the other way around.
I love how Gremmy got himself killed by imagining himself stronger than Kenny. Hell, even Kenpachi can’t handle full power Kenpachi.

Truly a conundrum no one will ever solve.

@@BirdOfHermes83 Yes, yes he would be.

I always found Kenpachi's development very exciting because his potential is almost limitless.
Kenpachi’s Bankai is like Ichigo’s. He gains a new costume and looks, his weapon also changes, and he gain a stat boost. Ichigo gain great speed and Kenpachi gain absolute strength.

Great to see a video about Kenpachi. Definitely one of the coolest, funniest and most likable characters in Bleach.
Great work as always, DBZimran!
Dude you need more subscribers. It’s just not fair how talented you are at these analytics. 👌🏽
*PLEASE THIS*
I absolutely love this guys story... its amazing, its a shame they never put the effort into his story in the anime... I never knew he had such rich backstory until this, thank you for the great video.
They did but we got more back story after the anime ended in the manga
Kenpachi is honestly my favorite character in the series! I always loved the way he fought like an absolute beast and never let up in battle. I would happily serve under him like Ikkaku and Yumichika do, and may we never forget Yachiru.
Looking at kenny's bankai form I had the realization we're gonna get to see this in anime and now I have the massive chills.
Hey DBZImran,
I don't know if you'll ever read this but I wanna thank you for making these analysis videos.. I used to be a fan of Bleach but after awhile my interest started to go away and I lost my love for the series. But watching your videos helped me to remember why I loved this series and I wanted to thank you for it.
There are still so many videos that you can make regarding the series, whether they involve the characters, plots, arcs, or concepts. But take your time with whichever makes you express the art the best way you can.
Here are some topics you can talk about in future videos:
1) Yhwach as a villain
2) Uryu's role throughout the series 3) Shingi and the Vizards
4) Yamamoto the Head Captain
5) Mayuri as a character
6) Ginjo and the concept of Fullbring
7) Each arc in the series and what they all represent
Also, are there any other series whether it's anime, manga, tv shows, movies, or video games that you enjoy.

THANK YOU! I loved this, Kenpachi is my absolute favorite and I loved the effort you put into this, showing that he has growth as a character. 🖤🖤🖤
The quality you provide is an entire different level compared to our usual channels!

Zaraki is a way deeper character than I remember or realized. Well done.
We really need a spin-off just for him.

Yeah mostly kimo Urahara
Idk that’s just a matter of perspective
Just imagine if he was actually able to be trained, and he wasn't feared to be a problem for all of the soul society. Might have seen a Kenpachi vs the old man during that training (assuming he unlocked parts of his power he didn't know was there). Might be dreaming but just the thought 🤤

This has helped me understand Kenpachi a lot more and WHOA is he cool.
Loved the video, Kenpachi is my favorite character
Ive seen a few people try to explain why he lost to ichigo but shows to be vastly stronger and no one has explained it better than you. Great work
To me Kenpachi’s charm (and why he is among my favorite characters) is that he is the purest distillation of a blood knight, a character type that Kubo is really good at selling. Everything about him is attuned to this pure love for combat.
Your content is amazing, every video is better then previous one. Keep it up!
"No matter how many times he is killed he will never stay down" this was proven in the fight with Unohana
I will take that quote as in "His spirit to fight will never falter"
@@TheTimmyboii1337 I agree with you there. In fact fighting hard encourages Kenpachi

Great Video by the way, got excited for the Bleach anime to come back sooner!
imagine being a blood thirsty fight obsessed demon, and having a hidden blood thirsty fight obsessed demon dormant inside.
Amazing new video bro!
Kenpachi is my favorite character in Bleach. So thanks for making a video on his story.
The man gives saiyan’s a run for their money, in pride, love the character, only he can make using both hands with a sword badass.
Fav Bleach character and anime character in general, and the voice of David lodge made the character even better!
Little yachiru is the literal personification of all that unused power that got bored to be ignored for centuries so she came out to play and have fun too ^^
I love kenny!!! Its awesome that your doing an analysis on this great character

People who say Kenpachi doesn’t develop didn’t really watch the flash back episodes with his squad or think develop is just they completely change.
What a great video. I always wondered why Yachiru never actually fought in the series and now I know why. Her purpose was never to fight, but was to help Kenpachi realized his dormant power and to rely on his zanpaktou
