YT meta is dumping text here for the algo?

Now, of course it was helped by their inexperience but that intro was so good. Just a slow dismantling of their team, staying calm and collected the whole time, you knew your priorities and executed them perfectly. Great video as always :)
totally agree & thanks so much!!
So much valuable info in this video. Top notch
happy to help!
@@YourBoyBlinn u totally should try rogue like buddy said u r one with the darkness
@@BornToKill780 I like rogue, but totally addicted to my shield & blocking playstyle :)
fuck yeah, incredible intro!
thanks thanks, lucky to get the TTV footage!
dude, been subbed for like a week, your channel growth has been awesome to see. keep it up!
thanks so much!! got more planned fer shure
Good stuff man! Super in-depth info and greatly appreciated :)
Another subtle method of "stealth" or misdirection if you are going to leave doors open anyway you can open them intentionally in a given direction to make it appear as if someone went that way (or came from that way) as you see fit since doors will always open "outward" from the perspective of the person interacting with them
ooooh door manipulation is a brilliant addition to the sneaky strats!! appreciate you
BRO YOU ARE SUCH A DAMN GOOD TEACHER! your voice and how you describe stuff is very informational and im understanding. im gonna go try this right now!
huzzah!! thanks for the comment & good luck out there!
You should do this with a backup windlass or even just regular crossbow. I get so much value out of these headshots on people completely unaware. Windlass comes with 25% armor pen too. Benefits greatly from the creep movement.
Ya I'm shocked he doesn't or a dagger or something
yeah the crossbow is definitely the next thing I need to incorporate/practice.. I'm pretty horrible with it rn, so have been dragging my feet on working it into the playstyle. I also don't like to open combat with ranged, since it gives ppl time to run and I don't like to fumble with my weapon switch. growing pains I suppose!!
@YourBoyBlinn u can use it as a shotgun defense instead of range. Also little tip for u. If u have crossbow out its faster to switch to utility then sheath then it is just to sheath. Try it out. So for me I hit 3 then I believe default button is x to sheath quickly. I use middle mouse button for sheathing
@@BornToKill780 good to know!!
@@YourBoyBlinn in pathfinder mmr last night I was basically just shift walking around ice caves with 2 windlasses on fighter and Longsword. I basically fight monsters with Longsword, and the once I see some evidence that suggests players will be within a room or so, I stash the Longsword for 2nd windlass. Then I creep around and try to get real close, shoot headshot on looter. If they live, I switch to secondary windlass, activate victory strike and shoot again. Then you just open inventory, right click your Longsword, and it’s instantly in your hands.
Your videos are so well put together, your knowledge and ability to communicate that knowledge in such a way to teach and tutor us are invaluable.
So glad I found your channel sir, it’s allowed me to enjoy this game a lot more and play with confidence. Thanks again! I’ll be continuing to watch all your vids that you’ve made previously and will jump on the new ones as they come. Cheers! 🍻
hey thanks so much for the awesome comment!! totally made my week and awesome to hear these vids will help you play with more confidence & have more fun/success!! thanks for watching & happy weekend
I love shield fighter it’s so fun and your videos are perfect for me thank you and Keep up the good work!!
yay! that's awesome to hear. good luck out there!!
Great breakdown - Top Marks!
thanks so much!!!
Great video. Keep it up.
appreciate you!
love the creep, makes it higher stakes i feel like in higher gear situations. anybody can come up and hit you so you always have to watch your back
yeah I was honestly shocked they pushed that update -- we'll see how long it sticks around!
Great content bro. 👌
appreciate you!
bro i honestly love what you're doing. you have become my favorite D&D creator and i look forward to your videos! your information and video clips to show how you actually utilize the ideas are perfect! that opening clip was the best and i know you had to be feeling the most insane adrenaline rush hahahahaha!!! maybe once you've run through fighter and want to move on to another class to master as you have done so well with your current class, maybe take up ranger or rogue and see if you can translate these skill into another class? either way, great work and keep it up buddy!
or even longsword fighter! coming out of the darkness with a longsword assault would be sick + you get to parry and dish out insane damage, ending fights much quicker.
this is a super encouraging comment, thanks so much & glad to hear my content works for you!! still feels like I've got a lot to explore with Fighter.. but after that you're right, lots of other interesting classes & play styles to mess with :)
yeah I've watched longsword chads with envy for many months.. very high skill expression and the damage output is indeed insane. it's a lot of fun to imagine all the different ways to deal burst damage coming out of the darkness!
Blinn *Makes the best stealth/ambushing guide to date for this game* also Blinn "This is why I only play the tank class while ambushing people...". What a GIGA-CHAD
people don't expect the tank ambush!! I got the receipts haha
great video!!!
Been loving these videos every tip works amazing minus the cotton gloves I couldn’t get those to work
haha yeah you need a certain perk to make those totally viable. definitely not for everyone
Great video! You don't have to leave everything unlooted to lure people in a room tho, you can just close the chests you looted.
you are absolutely correct! I often just close chests after I loot them, but didn't communicate that very well in this section. haha even better if you can loot the room, but make it LOOK like the room is fresh :)
your insane at this game
Yoo, crazy 1v3.
I saw ur question and will be answering it on newer video to help with the algorithm.
"can you elaborate on why Slayer was a bit better in HR? im curious!" - Why yes kind sir. It's because of how much better slayer builds SCALE from high end gear. With shield tech you can get like 40-50 dex, swing omega fast and have a decent damage with additional physical, but at the end of the day i much rather be 110+ movementspeed death machine with 145+ damage a hit with falcion (also with pretty high actionspeed). Especially with new creep meta i have killed multiple juicers out of creep with 2-3 hits while they were looting a gold pile or distracted in some way. So what am i saying is high end gear gives slayers more than it gives to shield enjoyers. And yeah, it takes me at least 5K gold to make a viable slayer set.
really appreciate this insight!! yeah I forget how important build scale is.. and I've seen enough footage of high-end Slayers to know they are indeed walking death machines (at $5K+ kits, as you mentioned). makes me feel a bit silly for going all-in on shield, but I find the style of play too much fun to put aside for HR. thanks again & hope to see you around!!
R.I.P. sneaky Solo Bard
I love your channel, you are one of the few doing voice overs. I am not very interested watching raw footage, especially if it isn’t a solo.
thanks for the feedback, glad to hear the VO stuff is useful and not annoying :)
Random question but How would you do a solo rogue to lvl 30 for the locks and traps perk?
will have to work on some Rogue strategy videos.. definitely a bit different than Fighter!!
absolutely pieced up the first team
just lucky to catch them off-guard :)
do you know if the crystal sword shows up in darkness?
oooooh, I didn't know that!
Listening to this video while at work has drove mr to playing rogur in 3s qs a solo just to try and pick off a teammate that straggles behind and profit
HECK YES! DaD has incredible sound design (minus the freaking goblins haha) and I love being able to identify a player/class just by their weapon and ability sounds. have fun & good luck!!
What level of play are you able to achieve with this playstyle? It seems fine, but against more coordinate/aware players, it is kind of a gimmick. Good players will be far more reactive and responsive than this though and their teammates will be also. That first clip you showed was the best, but there's something about the way they engaged you that feels off. I think the narrowness of the room and the bookshelves blocking them from surrounding you, really does so much lifting in your gameplay there to carry you along.
Either way though, picking a spot for 1v3 is a really important skill to have and knowing when to attack is so hats off to you. I mainly play barbarian and I rarely ever run into people trying this strategy out. I've used it myself a few times now that they have introduced creep because there's a lot of 3rd partying going on and it helps to escape by hiding.
great question - lots to say in response.. firstly you are totally correct: more advanced players are much harder to surprise, but still I find I'm able to get the jump on a lot of solos & teams. and the environment/room for 1vX is also essential, as you mentioned. most 1v3 fights I lose, sometimes horribly, but still find it fun to catch teams off-guard and get a kill or some good hits in. overall I find it just so much fun to play like that in normals. I never try 1v3 HR Crypts just coz that would be a total waste of time.
as for the viability of surprise attacks in solo HR, I've had great success, even against what seem to be experienced players. I think this is simply because most people stomp around and expect others to do the same. so playing with a bit of patience and the right amount of darkness to not pique suspicion is key. I find this strategy is particularly effective/necessary if I'm low-rolling in HR (got a playlist of just those vids to prove it). for this surprise attack guide, you can see me vs HR opponents at:
08:00 -- bandage Barb
14:18 -- looting Slayer
14:56 -- distracted Fighter
28:38 -- suspicious Cleric (I made the room too dark here)
long story short: stealth for me is not a gimmick, it's a central and effective part of my strategy every raid, especially in solo HR. but like I said, it's slow and definitely not for everyone!
@@YourBoyBlinn It kind of reminds me of like a cheese strategy in starcraft. It's brilliant and good players both need to know how to use the strategy effectively and how to detect other people using the strategy quickly or they will fall victim to it. In Starcraft 2 if you cannon rush someone, that's a cheese low skill strategy, but even the best players can fall victim to it if they don't scout properly. The same thing applies here. It's actually a nice thing to have in your back pocket to utilize against other players.
I can see this strategy being really useful if you set up rooms to "fall back" to after taking some hits and retreat to them to leave players making guesses.
I also noticed your in-game brightness setting isn't maxed out. I know it looks terrible, but there are a lot of players that use it at max to help them avoid situations like what you're displaying here.
Where I would like to see if you can take this strategy is a place I've taken it myself. I'm able to instead of doing 1v3 match ups, intentionally use sound to bait teams into the same room with each other while I hide in the shadows and then I go kill the surviving team after they are done. It would be great content and a great display of the skill ceiling of stealth based strategies.
i noticed people would just look at me while im in complete darkness i think they saw my health potions so i took them off and it works lol
haha yeah, keeping the GLOWING OBJECTS off of your belt is indeed VERY IMPORTANT hahaha
Are you streaming on twitch?
not yet, but I'll make sure people know if/when I do!!
@@YourBoyBlinn please do it! Wanna see more of your gameplay
what, is the creeping thing still active?
nope! this particular guide is from a couple months ago.. the devs removed creep for all classes, but the tips related to light&shadow are still super valuable!! :)
@@YourBoyBlinn yes super good tips! I always use stealth I love it, its super fun to play batman in the goblin's prision xD but I'm glad they removed it for all classes it was too op
totally agree!
Opponents can also hear you dropping items. Grest video, subbed
yes, totally.. forgot to include that!
You play like me bro❤
hey that's awesome!! what is your primary weapon?
Why dont you use a crossbow, I know you have the lantern for chasing but i never see you use it, especially if youre stealthy, crossbow would be great, or a bow for good ranged option, or windlass for even more one shot from stealth?
yeah, I've just been reluctant to make the adjustment to my playstyle.. for some reason I get hung up on the "when should I use this" question with the crossbow, and hate to get pushed when I have ranged out. I don't have a great mind for kiting, but realize that some kind of ranged weapon is going to round out my offensive flexibility :)
Good content but I hate this "creep to all" change honestly...
yeah I was shocked they did it honestly. just playing with the cards we're dealt! good luck out there!!
I.. gotta be honest, if you needed to be told this in a game called "dark and darker" you.. might be dying a lot lol.
haha yeah totally
