I have tried to get information from Immigration but they claim that it would constitute advice and they are forbidden to do that. I am a simple Aussie man who has fallen in love with a simple Brazilian man. All we know is that we need to spend the rest of our lives together. He is helpless because he has no income but should he be disadvantaged because Brazil has a terrible economy (he has a Teaching degree but cannot get work) or because his English is limited? He just wanted to marry me and spend his life, devoted to me and to be an active member of Australian society (he has already expressed a desire to get involved with a charity here even though he certainly needs an income). My partner is in South Africa and like you described I have work commitments here as an Australian born citizen and she has work and financial commitments over there to keep up the security and safety of her home while I try to work out how to make it all possible to move her here so both of us can be married finally. We have been in a very committed relationship for over 5 years now. This video told me it’s possible with a lot of hard work to save documentation now and gather evidence even though somehow we have to try live together for another 12 months straight instead of two months on three months off !! What a nightmare.

Hello. I’ve applied for spouse 309 visa. Its been more than 12 months now. And My medical has just expired. But nothing like that is highlighting on visa application. Now I want to get medical done again. How should I get a new hap ID? Or should I get medical done on the previous HAP ID?

If she applies prospective marriage visa, can she also apply for tourist visa while she waits for the prospective marriage visa results? This way she can come here in Australia and be with me for at least 3 months until the decision is made.
Second question is: similar but if we marry overseas and then apply for permanent visa, can she again apply for tourist visa at the same time and just keep coming here for 3 months at a time while waiting for the permanent visa application?

There is a sponsor limitation. You must wait five years from the lodgement date of the first application to the lodgement of the second application

Whilst the Department states 75%-90% of applications can be finalized within the specified timeframe, processing times are also impacted each month by changes in application volumes, seasonal peaks, complex cases and incomplete applications.
You may start looking at your application to verify whether your application falls into the categories listed above. For example, have you provided all the required documents to support your visa application? including police certificates, medical examinations, updated relationship evidence (as it’s been about 1.5 years since your lodgement, the Department would expect further evidence to be presented).
