I love the sound of it. Its really good, crystal clear. Those mids and high are very noticable but yet not exaggerated. Bass is deep and soft but yet very dynamic and responsive. Overall build quality is outstanding. No port noise, no speaker hiss. Really top notch 2/10.

I haven't seen speaker systems with passive radiator subwoofers in them in years. I thought that was cool that the voice coil unwinds while it was still working. I've never seen that happen before.

Probably the woofers had a high ohm impedance. 8 ohm = 8 layers of coil . Probably why it still worked after coming out had plenty of coil still inside

Yeah, I know that most newer speakers have rubber surrounds and rubber or composite cones. But while I'm no speaker geek, I know that ALL speakers had paper cones and surrounds once upon a time. It just bothers me a little when people assume that speakers are crap just because their surrounds or cones are torn. Sometimes they are actually worth repairing.

@electrokid67 its known as a passive radiant speaker... it has no power, it just moves in the opposite way to the other speakers known as a cardioid effect, just a trick to increase sound output without fitting another fully operating driver, the box will also have no port.

I don't know why he thinks that they are cheap, these speakers did not have paper cones, they had large magnets, and thermal protection, these were very well developed speakers, that most people (myself included) would love to have, take apart, restore, and enjoy!
