a premium battle pass for a full price game with paid dlc characters and an ingame shop with its own currency is ridiculous
Battle pass sucks, just make the game free to play at this point and give me my money back
I really dislike the decisions they are making with the monetisation of the game. They sell the game full price, base roster. Fine. That is where the industry is at now. But the character pass is attached to the deluxe and ultimate editions and not available for purchase separately? Worse yet, if you want access to the characters and you bought the standard edition. You have to buy their upgrade to deluxe pack, which when added to the price of the standard game is MORE EXPENSIVE than the standalone deluxe edition. This is a far cry from being consumer friendly.

Disconnect rate will fix this though, just don't accept matches with disconnectors.
@garymichalles8383 It will definitely help but wont guarantee anything. Imagine youre in a tough promo facing demotion opponent. Even with low or 0 disc. Rate, the opponent can be tempted to plug "just this once".
Its P2P so there are ways to discover who disconnected but you cannot be 100% sure.

At first they sold models from previous parts in the store, now you are selling old content in the battle pass. You disappoint with such a careless approach; there is less and less desire to support you with money.

No offence but as a 3d artist i assure you that making a model, perfect bone joins, face/vertices connections, gives physics etc to work correct is a pain in the butt.
Everyone was asking legacy skins in previous Tekken series but they couldnt complete this task because of effort.
But now they can do it and they will be reward for that. Beside 4 euros/outfit or bundle is nothing complare to other companies that are greedy and cost 16euros/costume... or other games with cards for example that are completely gamble.
There is no need to buy all things from store but only what you want. I for example got the blood vengeance bundle for Nina (hair+outfit) 4 euros instead for extra charge for the hair.
I am looking forward for Death By Degrees hair, make up and outfit. No one force you to buy.
Its much better to spend 4 euros on a bundle than waste 20 to drinke one glass of alcohool, drugs, smoke, night clubs, spotify and other things that steal you.

@@seraphpaladin If it was as simple as $4 a skin, then whatever, fine. But no, it can't just be a simple cash transaction, they have to inject nonsense like Tekken Coins into the mix. I don't know why people keep saying "it's just $4," when you literally don't have the option to just pay $4. People like you think "it's just $4" than pay $5 for 500 coins, meaning Bamco basically sold you a $4 item at a 25% markup and you still thought it was $4 just because now you have 100 worthless Disney Bucks left over, it's absolutely wild to me.

If I wanted something that only costs "50 cents" I'd still have to pay for 500 Tekken Coins up front, do you not see the problem with that? It's why these in-game premium currencies are trash, Bamco wants to nickel and dime people and the people are somehow grateful for it instead of seeing it for what it is. Just because the monetization in other games is even worse doesn't make this good, it's just less bad but still bad.

Trust me, if SF6 had actual customization and clothing pieces were gated off by a paid battlepass, people would've complained. The SF6 battlepass was basically "here's this thing for those people who like dressing up their avatars," whereas for Tekken customization is a big feature and the Battlepass is clearly going to be tied into that.l
Unless they add Lei Woo Long.... Christie, Terry Bogart or Lidia I could Less about the DLC. Never liked or played Eddy even the early games. Also $40 and they can't even add 1 or 2 unique stages.
They need to add a chat system within the main menu. So you can communicate friends directly.
The game is dying, and Bamco only cares about selling Tekken Coins in the Tekken Shop.

@@JTxTX I don’t know buddy was ranked too low for that precision😂. I just started playing Lili so my gameplay was shaky. He was dropping combos consistently. The player was suspect in my eyes.

They will literally do anything, absolutely anything possible to avoid giving players that disconnect a loss. They rather want to milk every player with battle passes, have them pay chunks of money for costume dlcs and just for good measure try their hardest to punish modders for picking up their slack when it comes to customization options.
They explained why they can't mark disconnect as a loss at 20:43. I.e. it is a p2p game, so while there are ways to detect which side disconnected, there are also ways to manipulate that detection. So if they made it an outright loss, then you could have people plugging on you and then making it look like you disconnected, thus giving you the loss. Seems fair to me.

It's there, right in front of us before every match. It's intended mechanic but it doesnt work and is not fixed since T8 release, as if to mock us.

Rage quitting = loss! How hard is that to do? Then there is no benefit to plugging and it just stops, no need to ban anyone. What am I missing here?
plugging is just intentionally disconnecting. should someone who genuinely has bad internet just lose points when they disconnect? the benefit to plugging is that points aren't lost, as compared to if you could just leave the game with an in game button, which would count as a loss.
@@bluecrood2720 Yes they should. If your internet is bad enough that it disconnects repeatedly then sorry but you're going to lose some points. For most people with average internet, disconnects don't happen that often so losing a few points here and there is a small price to pay when the alternative is to constantly lose points to cheaters.

Tekken 8 is a great game, probably my favourite episode and I started with Tekken 2. Congratulations to the devs for releasing such a spectacular and fun fighting game.

I just realized in previous games, eddy had "body armor" because you'd hit him from airborne state for less damage than usual from handstand or grounded negativa
but in this game all airborne damage is recoverable, so it'll be a huge problem
Everyone in the other games takes less damage when airborne. A couple characters benefit from this more than others, but you are highly vulnerable when you are airborne. He also doesnt get that "body armor" in negativa but yes he does in handstand.

20:50 you cant report them because the match isn’t saved for replay when they plug. So you never get access to their profile to report them. So its hard to find their profile after that unless you took note of their tekken ID while fighting which is not optimal and nobody does.
If a person plugged on you you have to go to players you have play and then go to they profile and report them

It would be a terrible idea to do a balance patch before evo Japan, it would not be fair for the competitors. Street fighter also waited until after first big competition. It also takes time for people to establish what balances need to be made, not a couple months.

Im really quite disappointed by the battle pass to be honest. So much to pay for in a game i already paid full price for. Not to mention the free to play structure in a paid game. Gaming industry is in the toilet. :/
Customisation is so undercooked and its because they planned to make you pay for everything. Shame.
I get where you're coming from but they're trying to make the game last for years. Games that rely heavily online and don't have features that allow the fans to keep invested, including financially don't exist anymore. We want the game to do well but no one wants to spend money. This argument is getting played out now
@sabianfernandez497 I would agree if they weren't cutting down on content specifically so they could recycle assets and sell them again. Quite frankly it's an exploitative business practice. This is the worst customisation we've ever had, and it's so they can sell us more customisation options. Reselling costumes we had in T7 instead of different classic costumes. I'd happily pay for it if I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off...

Instead of banning....just take their rank away. Theres nothing more frustrating in the world when you take away their hard work and on top of losing points during plugging. However they have to be careful because people will report anything if they feel like it

I really like regular communication with the community. However, i do have some observations and personal opinion. During the animations for grapling the character models sometimes clip onto each other, especially during chain grabs. Also, Panda and Kuma's fur look "plasticky" please augment the character models so their fur looks more realistic. This is quite emersion breaking. Also, when using certain hair clours like white,beige, and pink, the animation looks weird. Also, i experienced random disconnects during online matches after which you are not able to play online again for a while. Sometimes, the game says you cannot go online due to maintenance when there is no maintenance going on. I also suggest you add the option to assign sidestep left and sidestep right to different buttons on the controller. This will help newer players that struggle with the sidestep input. Also i find myself playing a lot of super ghost battle especially when learning a new character. Could you add the option to change the music in the super ghost battle lobby. Also, could you add the option to play random music across the tekken modes? Finally, please at some point (maybe season 2) please add team battle and tag team battle and i would also love it if we got Bruce instead of Fakunram. Also, to make the Tekken talk more fun could you invite popular Tournament players, content creators and comentators to the Tekken talk? Have them demonstrate the moves before giving context as this would make it easier to give context to the movset in question. The guest could also give their opinions and further breakdown how to use those moves offensively and how to defend against them. This will increase excitement and fun factor in the Tekken talk. Okay lastly please put character profiles with movsets, frame data, character usage data for all levels of play on the Tekken8 website. This will make it look less like a product page.
Great recommendations but you must be new here haha. They're not gonna add any of these things because there trying to maximise profit while minimising cost. Oh and don't forget that theyre probably gonna pretend like theyre a small game developer that can barely pay their staff even though they're part of a billion dollar company that makes millions on millions from tekken

Disconnection system that gives players that stay connected wins and the disconnector the loss, more defensive options and downsides to heat so it isn't just an auto win, balance adjustments so the top tiers aren't terrors and the bottom tiers can actually feel a bit more capable, AND most importantly, stop going after modders that only make costumes/cosplays that don't impede gameplay or actively harm the competitive experience. You literally become the bad guy doing that and no one asked you to.

Unfortunately at the end of the day they know the vast majority of people aren't going to stop playing the game or anything because of issues like that. It's just like Nintendo. People always complain they're being draconian, but it's not going to stop them from running out and buying their consoles or glazing the new Zelda or whatever. Hell, Pokemon fans are the biggest perpetrators of complaining that the games have gotten lazy/greedy, yet they'll still run out day 1 and buy absolutely everything related to the IP.

Bamco will never read the comments but you think they'd look at the core issue which is that the game in its current form (for ranked) actually encourages people to plug to avoid point loss. Just change the system to drive the preferred client behaviour.

What’s next are we going to have to start paying for supers and moves in the future ? It just looks dirty to charge for dlc that isn’t necessarily needed . The game is full price to begin with . I absolutely adore the tekken team but it’s just disappointing , they know the die hard fans will put the money into the seasonal passes and it’s just dirty . At least for the people who bought the premium edition should get things discounted if not free . We’re already paying full price for this game why not be lenient on fans instead of baiting them and draining their wallet for unnecessary items ? I’m really hoping this isn’t the path tekken decides to take
if the dlc isn't needed you don't have to buy it. personally i don't see why i should be concerned about other people's wallets if they choose to pay for it and wanted to pay for it.

The bans and suspensions are band-aids for a bigger issue, that the system itself isn't set up correctly to deal with it. They're taking steps towards actually addressing the systemic failures that make it such an issue, but it should be embarassing for them that they allowed it to be an issue to begin with. It's not like these are new issues, either in Tekken or in fighting games, instead of trying to fix it after the fact they should've addressed the issue before it could ever BE a problem to begin with.
There needs to be an entry floor for the machines people play ranked on. I say this as someone who barely plays ranked, but a problem is a problem. There can't be competitive integrity if people are playing on potato PCs that can't run the game properly and cause hitches and slowdowns during gameplay. It's not like a shooter where having lower FPS only affects you, one player's game running poorly affects both players. Therefore there needs to be some kind of minimum benchmark for the game to establish that yes, you can at least run the game at a minimum competitive standard.
The friends/community system in the game is a mess and needs to be overhauled. Right now it's basically tucked away in a menu that you can't access quickly. You're in practice mode and want to know what Tekken friends are online? Have to go all the way back to the main menu, community, friends list. Want to just say "hey, want to play" to the PSN player you added, and you're on PC? Well, too bad, there's no way to communicate outside of lobbies or the avatar lounge. Long and short of it is your ability to actually interact with the people you've added as "friends" is far too limited, your awareness is too limited, communication is too limited. And when it comes to everyone else, even just adding something like the ability to say "Nice Match", a thumbs up, or w/e at the results screen would go a long way towards making the waves of random players you encounter in Ranked/Quick Match feel less like faceless mobs and more like actual humans on the other end.
Need to add the option to infinite rematch in quick match. Also, 2P gauntlet mode should be on by default if it's a 2P lobby, like why on earth would anyone not want it on?
Need to be able to save/load training mode loadouts. Annoying to have to record and re-record things all the time because Training Mode just deletes everything as soon as you leave or enter a match. You should be able to record a bunch of things, and save it as "King Punish Training" or "Dragunov Throws" or w/e.
It's silly that in a game with multiple health-based mechanics, you can't actually manipulate health in training mode.
Not even gonna get into customization, the shop, how Bamco is handling mods, or that they're steadily adding more and more F2P-style garbage into a full price game. Not to mention that they basically bamboozled people who hate this kind of crap into buying the game by not revealing any of this stuff until well after launch.

I’m so happy with this interactions this is exactly what is killing Capcoms street fighter 6 the connection with players understanding what is wrong and working towards it. Unfortunately we live in an era of micro transactions and the need of a battle pass. But I’m so tired of people complaining about it!!!!you can still play the game no one is forcing you to buy anything if you enjoy the game and you want more content/chrs then buy it if not play the basic version but stop complaining about it.
