Thanks George. You give me confidence to do jobs that would otherwise terrify me. I want to do this particular job on my N47 but i am still scared that i will break an electrical fitting... 😮
Took me 4 hours most of which was cleaning manifold out 20 mins to reassemble, test drive perfect, sounds like it's able to breath power up ency smooth. delighted .
Wasn't sure but tonight I removed actuator sensor as was getting weird codes 0f $07EC and $07BC ...p0401 maf i think.reset clear codes issue disappeared and so did bouncy revs counter. Ordered few pipes anyway in post. I'll see if any issues arise.
I found it such a messy job,but worth doing as two swirl flaps were completely snapped off,bar had snapped ,only held in place by the soot and gunk!!! Also changed the Glow Plugs while the air intake was off,so good job in total.
Fantastic video look far a wide for a indepth video because I had the same issue where all the bolts were loose but it was still in place pretty solid so thanks for showing that it's helped massively
Boys and girls, if you gleaned this sort of in-depth detailed knowledge down the pub from a helpful fella like George.......surely you’d buy him a pint? Tip for stopping the bolts/screws from dropping back down is to put a bit of electrical around the shaft. I do this when fitting ventilation units when you don't want washers to keep dropping down the threaded bar and getting in the way of the lugs.
