Thank you! Always like falling them from the ground better. Just sometimes a little calculated risk is worth it for the rest of the crews safety. This tree will be used as a lift tree in logging, others will be fell conventionally.
Can't produce anything if you can't get you carriage back there. See the top land on the skyline? It's a lift tree. Not to toot my own horn or anything but a well rigged one, that gave them more lift than they needed, to save them time, therefore increasing production.
Hey dude. I just wanted to give you my two sense of advice. Whenever climbing you should use a hammer instead of a hatchet to bang wedges. A friend lost his ear when the wedge bottomed out and the hatchet came flying back
I wonder who the first person was that got talked in to doing this 🤔 crazy fearless or just needed the money 🤑💰🤑
Beauty!
That little axe and Wedge is awesome! Definitely great for climbing situations
An old hook tender turned me on to that. It was 20 dollars well spent!
Looks like your in the PNW? I'm in Oregon loggin everyday. Stay safe.
@@briansanders6950 Yes, same here my friend, you too, thanks.
Good work, but..... Could just fall from the base.... Plenty of space there.... 🤷🏽♂️

Is that a 540 Xp?
How about a bfh❤❤
Limbing and topping before dropping and bucking, seems like the hard way to do it .😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sure is, but there is a reason. Check out a couple other videos on my channel in the "rigging trees" playlist.
Why to cut the top only???
It is going to be used as a lift tree (intermediate support) in a logging operation. Kinda like the towers that hold a ski lift in the air.
Use a rope
Slow day? Looking for a reason to climb and top? Production would say fell that tree

Yikes. Thank you!
@@timberhillinc It's just my two cents man. You obviously have your own groove. I like your videos btw
