    The Stugna-P is such an elegantly cheap basic solution to that big problem with infantry anti-tank weapons - firing the weapon reveals the location it came from so you get shot back. There are some expensive fire-and-forget solutions to that problem that let the soldier run as soon as the rocket is launched so they don't have to maintain line of sight to the target. Ukraine just had the operator not be where the launcher is in the first place by use of the advanced technology called "a camera" and "a long data cable". Thus the control box is set up down in a trench or behind cover, away from where the launcher is. It's such a cheap solution and that's impressive.

    The west should tell Russia this: we will provide MLRS rockets with a longer range (300 km in stead of only 80 km) if you hit targets in Ukraine that are more than 100 km form the front lines.

    Someone below was asking about why the missles appear to "corkscrew" towards the intended target...
    It’s an intentional feature of the guidance and control system. The missile has dual rocket motor nozzles which are slightly angled in order to induce a fast, slightly off-center rotation along the missile axis. This produces the distinctive spiraled or "corkscrew-like" flight you see in this video.
    One of the design paradoxes of guided missiles is that they need to maintain a stable flight trajectory towards the target, yet at the same time they need to be unstable enough to be maneuvered by relatively small control surfaces. The spiraled flight pattern is one method for achieving this tradeoff; the spin stabilizes the missile in flight just like a bullet from a gun, but being off center as it spins gives it the instability it needs for the control system to be able to kick it around.

      Стыдится тебе надо, украинцы сейчас
      , вы назвали русских нацистами, но почему нацисты убивают всех, а Россия даёт дом тем кто сдался, однажды жители Украины увидели што обе стороны носят ленточки с определённым цветом и решили сделать себе белые повязки, но и у русских были белые повязки и украинцы расстреливали своих без разбора ситуации. А ещё при выезде из Украины в Беларусь или в Россию украинцы получат 15 лет лишения свободы, и при отказе службы в войсках тебя расстреливают.

    This has probably already been noted by Ukraine..they need to mount the sight camera aligned with but independent to the launch platform so the launcher can be reloaded without upsetting the aimers view of the target. Then you have faster reloads or the ability to pack up the launcher while waiting for impact.

    • @paulvarn4712
      @paulvarn4712 2 роки тому +7

      The aim camera has to be part of the launcher otherwise the aim will be off just life riffle artillery. The commander has to be able to see what the launcher sees so he knows the launcher has line of sight for the initial tube expulsion in the right direction reducing the initial steering required by the rocket which only has a few seconds to correct its flight. Loading another round only takes a few seconds.
