Can you play any pokemon card? Like for instance, First edition deck to the latest scarlet and violet deck?
For standard format it is currently battle style to the current set. Expanded format the u can play a wider range of set

whatever the stage 1 pokemon HP is that will be the new HP! If they pokemon you are evolving has damage already on it, the damage stays!
