I could just buy packs and hope I get all of the ones I need, but that can get pricey and there’s no guarantee I’m getting the cards I need. I would LOVE to go to regional like this so I can get the cards at a vendor, but they always are way too far away from where I’m at, but I REALLY wanna get into TCG

Seeing Alt Art Giratina V get played is like when I saw someone use SIR Miriam during the SV Prerelease. Value be damned, these cards were meant to be played with. You love to see it.
lol I pulled the SIR Miriam and traded it for the SIR Penny during prerelease. That Penny had been my chase card for the set, so even if I ended up losing value, still enjoyed that trade.
@@matchumadori5291 I vibe with that trade. Still don't have the SIR Penny, but that and the UR Penny cards were my chases from SV, and I managed to pull the UR from a booster box. Wasn't the most valuable card I pulled in terms of money, but it was the most valuable in terms of personal value.
Glad to hear there are still people who go for personal value over monetary value, especially with how many investors have invaded this space over the last few years.

That's not how confusion works. The Pokemon stays confused until it hits the bench. Then if you attack you flip a coin. If heads the attack goes through. If tails it fails and you do 30 damage to yourself

38:18 Cliffe: *_"I SPENT $900!!!"_* Goes to show a booster box can cost one way, but it's a whole other game & ultimately means absolutely nothing if you don't have a sufficient density of busted beasts in the packs. That's why Lost Origins Trump's many other boxes. Lostbox is/was/will forever be remembered as a true powerhouse juggernaut.
Lost Box isn't even the only deck to come out of it, I've run a rogue Perrserker V for 2 or 3 years now on the online game (I think this is the 3rd year as iteration 1 had Scoop Up Net for a pokemon, iteration 1 and 2 had the Evolving Skies Milotic and this iteration finally had the Milotic and Crobat rotate out which I promptly replaced with the pokemon with an inbuilt Scoop-up net, Dudunsparce)
The Perrserker V and a decent chunk of the pokemon actually come from Lost Origins, something I discovered upon writing my decklist down to make irl

As someone who just got into TCG (digitally- I had a bunch of code cards that I just never got around to scanning in before) I love to see the pros at work!
I’ve been trying to work out how to make a good synergistic deck and this was an awesome example!

I originally started to collect cards because I love the art, (I am an artist) but the game is so cool in itself and, once you get into it, it’s not as scary as I thought it would be!

As an og Pokémon collector back in the 90s, who's getting back in the hobby and wants to actually start playing as well, this video was soooo much fun AND educative. I had to pause a couple of times to re-read the cards and make sure I understood what they did, haha. Seeing it in action as it's also being explained during the turn made it a 100 times easier for me to follow. Really great concept!! It also made me happy to see some highly value cards being played, as they're damn good playable cards as well lol.
All in all, gotta love the pulls!!

I dont want to be that guy but they did a few things wrong, at 21:15 the rotom couldn't use that move since there has to be exactly 2 basic energies to work. Also at 29:09, confusion dosent go through flipping the coin (but then again, it wouldn't matter since he swapped out, which does that anyway).

These videos show me an aspect of Pokémon I never got invested in other than collecting. One day I need to start playing.
I've always been a Pokemon card collector, but never really got into the Pokemon TCG game itself, so this video really helped me understand what was going on. You really should make more TCG content alongside your other Pokemon content!
I haven't played the card game in like 10 years, The editing was Goat for me. thanks for making it easily understandable for a old timer like me!
The last time i played the card game was the second run of gen 1. A lot of these concepts are flying straight over my head so im glad they're explaining things.

I swear these TCG videos are really great I hope you do more of these with lots of interesting challenges I like the concept seeing outdated sets fight against new sets
