Utterly magnificent book your love of life and saving a life is what makes your book so wonderful and utterly superb you are my favorite author and it's the compassion that defines your excellent What is so glorious is you give them a wonderful afterlife your not left to grieve or trust you show the reward the gift of the eternal its so wonderful so complete so full of love book God bless you and all you love Father Charles Anderson
I agree wholeheartedly I really think they should make a new movie series that would be totally awesome they should also make movies series about the other ones
I agree, one of the reasons it hasn't been done yet is that they'd have to arrange everything so any other series (Alanna, Tricksters, Protector and the Numair Chronicles) could be filmed seamlessly. Only the Winding Circle series are separate. So the budget would have to bei huge.
I would so love to see how Numair looks like when he turns into a hawk. Is there any resemblance to a common black hawk ? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_black_hawk
spoilers i hate/love the "side character "dies" " trope it was so obvious he would use a simulacrum, that's my only complaint about this book series so far tho , it seems in fantasy books/comics/whatever no one's really dead even if you see the corpse
Yeah, I mean Daine is literally 15 and Numair is almost 30. I remember being weirded out by it when I read these books as a teen. Don't know why they couldn't age her up or kept it platonic between them. I mean, it would be really easy reading relationships like this to think that is normal.
Shit I just happened to read comments in the middle of the book. Wont do THAT again and get spoilers. Haven't got to that spot so I'm pissed cuz it seemed like there was something between them despite age.
@@reogrande8020 I LOVE Jean Auel but agree she can be windy when it comes to describing things, especially plants. But that doesn't take away from the brilliance of her books. It's one of the 1st series my Nana got me reading. Another is the Pern books which is AMAZING! Another is the Temeraire series.
@@kristaprice1954can handle the plants, it's the walls, cups and furnishings that I can't take. Or the bits in the final 2 books where the story telling was lazy and she was trying to make everything constantly understandable even if you opened the book to a random page and it was your first Jean auel.
As much as I loved the second book, the description of empire is very much all things global South, all evil v the kingdom that is Europe and all Nobel, virtuous. Reinstating the inherent biases. Disappointing really.
Why do they have the word "Dinosour?" Lol love the book, but some descriptions throw me off. They describe height in feet and inches, they use reffer to some people as "Black" And they call dinosours "Dinosours" And these things seem out of place in a mideval-based fanticy. (Dinosours were not called dinosours back then, they shouldn't messure in feet and inches, and racial catigories wern't invented at that time.) Love it anyway.

This book series would be the coolest fantasy magic movie or series!
I agree 10 000%

THEY SHOULD MAKE A MOVIE OF ALL THE SERIES...
I must agree.

Who do u ship with Daine?
Numair?
OR
Kadar?
(Sorry if I misspelled the name (I don’t use captions))
Tbh honest my least favourite aspect of the tortall books is the problematic and barely legal relationship gaps.

👍👍
👍🥰👍
did we really need like a whole chapter of descriptions of common dinosaur skeletons? I am falling asleep.
You clearly haven't read jean auels 5th and 6th books
I found it interesting. And the interactions and conversations were still important

Only if that's what you're looking for. We perceive and interpret things through our own lense.
I don't think the empire is intended to be all evil. It's another kingdom with it's own interests that conflict with the main charecters.

Blacks would have been called moors. But it is still a very good book.
