Another great review Stuart, these videos are very enjoyable even though I'm not into it myself, can't wait to the end of May until we get back playing.
Thanks Jim, I’m really enjoying making them but never know if they are going to be fun to watch. Thanks as always for your support. Btw the house is looking AMAZING!
The Rapsodo is very impressive on paper (especially for outdoor range use) but its reliance on an iPhone renders it useless for outdoor use in direct sun. Any iPhone will simply overheat and shutdown in very quick time (as little as 10-15 min in the hot Australian sun). The MLM would be absolutely fantastic if Rapsodo could address the major issue of reliance/overheating through the mandatory use of an iPhone.
Yeah fair point Steve (obviously I would never get that problem over here 😂😂). Would it be crazy to suggest a cardboard box or umbrella to shade it wile on the range? Thanks for watching 🙏🙏👍
I didn’t mention this primarily as I don’t see it’s a necessity as it’s primarily for the coaching aspect that I don’t really use as people can always UA-cam tips these days. Thank you for watching 🙏🙏
Sadly Peter it is only the iPhones at the moment. I’ve heard other support is on the way. The reason for just iPhones is the cameras are all of a certain standard. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
I use after effects to make my own. It’s not the quickest route but I really wanted the challenge of having the best ones on UA-cam. Always learning. Thanks for watching. 🙏🙏
Hi Stuart, another excellent review. I am seriously looking at the Rapsodo, but now there is new model from Swing Caddie SC 300i. Any chance of you reviewing / comparing these two in the near future ?
@@cartersmithgolf I agree with you the Rapsodo looks great but concerns on having to connect with iPhone / iPad, I only have an iPad. The SC 300i does not require this connectivity, but do agree the Rapsodo has more useful features. So would be great to see your comparisons, obviously accuracy is vital.
Hi Matthew, as we are still in lockdown I haven’t been able to test this but will get this done when we can get back out there (end of March). Thanks for watching 👍🙏🙏
Excellent and very fair comparison review Stu. You gave great plus and minus points for both units. Quality again! You guys coming up for Corrines day on August 1st?
Thanks Kent, I am lucky to have some good boxes at the moment so I’m trying my best to do a good job. I’d love to come up and support you guys and Corrine. I’ll check the diary and let you know ASAP. 👍
@@cartersmithgolf Just give her a call Stu. It's for one of her charities, breast cancer of course, but I forget which one. Her only request she had was that we turn up wearing a little bit of pink somewhere if you/we play to show support to the fight against breast cancer. A lot of the guys are staying over and doing a curry at a place Corrine and Neil are recommending on the night before (Saturday), so we'll all be stinking of garlic on the day itself 😂😂😂
Errrrrrrr yeah I made a very small oversight on that one. I was well excited then Maddy said did you not realise that we are getting married the DAY before!! Dog house in! lol oops I may have to rain check that one. 🤦🏻🤦🏻
Awesome review! I want to buy the rapsodo although I am concerned about the battery life of my iPhone/iPad. Does it drain your phone fast or is it acceptable?
@@cartersmithgolf awesome. My rapsodo is coming tomorrow and i will hit the range on the weekend with a rangefinder to check the carry distances. I am excited to see if the rapsodo is my thing :P
You do need it on the device because it uses a combination of its doplar radar and the iPhone’s high speed camera to get the numbers. Keep an eye on my channel as I’m doing an outside “on course” review this week.
That’s always a struggle. It’s fun editing but so hard to cut things out sometimes. I often just leave stuff in knowing that it’s easy to just stop watching when bored. Thanks for watching pal it’s appreciated. 👍👍
@@cartersmithgolf Having watched mark crossfield, TGW, and several others, you quickly figure out who operates under a format/schedule. James Robinson intros quickly and then goes into the review. ua-cam.com/video/Xt7i_uvj4K0/v-deo.html
I would never again buy from Rapsodo, I paid good money for their R - motion system and they made it obsolete shortly after purchase, so I'm left with an expensive box of useless garbage, and zero reply from Rapsodo support, they can't be trusted. Buy the Garmin.
Great review Stuart. Answered all my questions and I've pulled the trigger on the rapsodo. Thanks mate 👍🏻
Your welcome and thanks for watching. It’s a very impressive unit you won’t be disappointed. Good move. 👍👍
Isn’t it awesome!?!? I just picked mine up this week and am in love.

Bless you Padraig, I got a pile I’m working through and enjoying the task. Glad they are bearable to watch. Thanks for the support. 🙏🙏

Good review and highlights of each. That said, it's sort of comparing apples to oranges.
Agreed, I just happened to have both so thought it maybe a worth wile exercise. Thanks for watching. 👍

Great review. But you failed to mention that $99 a year subscription fee for the premium package on the Rapsodo.

Does the Rapsodo only work with an iPhone ? I like the look of the Rapsodo but have an Android Samsung phone. Great review.

Wish you’d done this review b4 I shelled out
The Rhapsodo does look a good bit of kit.
The G80 is good enough mate. The Rapsodo is a nice piece of kit though.
Rapsodo water/splash proof?
Hi, I’m gonna say no tbh. Obviously your phone will be standing in it also when in use. Hope that helps
Great vid. Can I check if the games on the Rapsodo work when you are hitting into a net? I’ve read conflicting information - thanks
I’ll check tomorrow for you Mark. 👍
Yes that's what I would like to know too
Did you test the Rapsodo outside on an open range? How did it perform?

You really need to learn how to make a 5 minute video, actually 5 minutes... and not 12 minutes.

Is this your video? No it’s not. Deal with it.
Save your money and don't buy a Garmin G80. It's a piece of crap.
