  • The 2-0, #1 Alabama Crimson Tide traveled to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, MS to face the 1-1, #19 Ole Miss Rebels. Entering the game, Ole Miss had defeated Alabama in consecutive seasons for the first time in school history. This game set the record for the most people ever to witness a football game played in the state of Mississippi. It also tied the 1989 Alabama-Ole Miss game for the largest comeback victory in Alabama football history.

    If this Ole miss team played like this every time they played Alabama they would be in the playoffs every other year.

    That game was stressful especially since Ole Miss had our number last two seasons they beaten us.

      This was just his second career start. He was a true freshman. I think he would have won the Heisman at Alabama if not for Kiffin flaking out at the end of the 2016 season and Saban making the mistake of bringing in Brian Daboll, who is just a terrible coach. That coaching turnover really messed up Hurts' ability to progress. He immediately became a much better passer when paired with better offensive coaches at Oklahoma and in the NFL.

      ⁠@@BamaRewindcouldn’t agree more. Daboll and BoB have been the worst offensive coordinators in the Saban era
