I am Turkish/Dutch and I was happy when I found out you were making menemen. We normally don’t use cheese but it could be good with cheese. You don’t have to use green pepper. My mother uses any peper we have at home. I think they said that you need to use green peper because there is a specific thin green peper they use for menemen but it isn’t necessary. I am happy that u enjoyed it! ❤

ymerdrys, is not the standard breakfast in denmark, but a lot of people still eating it.. but cornflakes, oats and toast is a more to go to breakfast, a lot of people also eat yogurt but it more normal to add muesli to it.. Ymer and ymerdrys is more of a early 90'ers breakfast. and you never is using fruit AND ymerdrys together.. (berries was only families with a middle to high income, that had money to use on that.)

I would say one thing you should try that I have for breakfast/brunch is a sammie. I have a Jewish and South African background. So often I combine the cuisines or take my favourite dishes from each. Sammies my parents and ouma and oupa always made in South Africa. It is like a grilled cheese but with tomatoes and onion added. From my Jewish heritage the one comforting dish would be matzah ball soup. Another one is brisket and lentil liver. Lentil liver is made out of ground lentils with pecans. It’s a spin my grandmother made on traditional lentil liver. I can send you family recipes if needed. I know not all of these are breakfast but I wanted to let you know.

Breakfast wise, you should definitely try out poffertjes from The Netherlands, from scratch!
Added with butter and powdered sugar, so damn good.
If that won't work out, try out dutch pancakes, with powdered sugar and dutch syrup (not maple syrup or any other kind, just the original syrup as we call 'stroop' or 'schenkstroop').
If you're gonna try out dinners from around the world, I recommend a typical dutch endive stew, served with a smoked sausage and gravy.
Aswell as pastries from around the world, definitely go for a tompouce which is typically dutch, or as a dessert after dinner you should go for custard!

Were you supposed to use sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk in the chocolate rice? Also I wonder if sticky rice would've worked better for the texture

Maybe you could research South American or African breakfasts? I feel like they don't get much exposure here in the UK. Also, I think a lot of those cultures don't have specific breakfast foods, so you could end up with some more unusual dishes compared to a typical British breakfast (a bit like when you reversed all your meals and had dinner for breakfast).
