Kebbeh can be cooked it various forms, shaped in ovals like in this video and the filling can be switched with a mixture made of some leaf vegetables (i think spinach but i m not sure) onions, oil and some spices, or switched with a Lebanese dairy product called ed labneh. Kebbeh cooked in that shape is called kebab. Then there's kebbeh bel seniyeh which literally translates to "kebbeh in a pan" since it's cooked it a pan. It's like pie where the crust is kebbeh and it's filled with labneh. And finally you can eat it raw which would be the same as just doing the kebbeh with out adding any filing or labneh nor chilling it or baking or frying it.
I like you mentioned raw because that’s how my grandma made it, it was always raw in the middle and I remember she’d try kebbeh that other people made and would complain that it wasn’t raw meat haha!
I think you mean laban and not labneh (otherwise if you do mean labneh then I've never seen it made that way). Day 7 :Can you please do gormesabzi for Iran. Yes, while kabob is notoriously known as the prime food from Iran, ask any Persian what the most beloved dish is and they will say gormesabzi. Though is somewhat tedious to make, it is considered one of the most homey dishes, as it is not only delicious but is usually not in restaurants because of patience required for sabzi’s. It’s one of those meals that feels so comforting in the knowledge of the aromatic ingredients and time put into the dish, most likely provided by someone was enough adoration for you to put in the effort. As an immigrant, I can tell you that when you come home after a long day and you see your grandma’s gormesabzi on the counter, it quells the feeling of home sickness and nutritiously- and deliciously- fills you up.
Kibbeh is Syrian-Lebanese, lets agree on that. because it was invented at the times that Syria and Lebanon was united under one country and there was no division between Lebanese and Syrian people am also Syrian
It's hard to call Kebbe the national dish of Lebanon. You've gotta try the Lebanese meal. That should include a traditional Lebanese salad called Tabbouleh, with Kebbe as one of many appetizers along with Ftayer and the like, and maybe some Tawouk for the main course.
I am half jordan and we don't add meat in the bulgur shell and it's still sooo good. You can even add chicken or beef instead of lamb.😋 Even tofu for vegetarians (however this is not a traditional filling)
you can add fat inside in certain types to flavour the inside or just fried onions and pinenuts is good. We have loads of different options, Raw is also one!
A similar version in Turkish cuisine is called “İçli Köfte” (stuffed meatballs) which is prepared with chopped walnuts, sometimes parsley, various spices, onion, ground lamb and beef. They are served in three different ways: deep fried, only-boiled or boiled-and-then-deep fried in plain egg coating similar to French toast.
My grandma would make it with more meat on the outside and less bulgur. It was the best. Wish I had learned to cook from her. But I was too busy eating.

There are double snacks that we adopt, such as honey-cream, tahini-molasses olive-cheese, these also show your level of intimacy with someone as a nickname. And of course, never forget Turkish tea, which is indispensable for a Turkish breakfast, our local drink.Turks love to drink tea, everyone in each house drinks more than 5 glasses per person.tea is the water of the Turks,This confirms that we are the country that consumes the most tea in the world.

Bro I swear it is not Lebanese it’s generally just middle eastern food because middle eastern food is all based of of each other’s national dish so grape leafs could be different in Saudi’s Arabia then the ones in Lebanon.
@@coolkidpoop8002 jeez you don’t need to be rude it’s okay if someone didnt know

As a Lebanese I'm glad u liked our dish
PS: I recommend you to try manakish cuz they are SUPER GOOD
Day 7 :Can you please do gormesabzi for Iran. As an immigrant, I can tell you that when you come home after a long day and you see your grandma’s gormesabzi on the counter, it quells the feeling of home sickness and nutritiously- and deliciously- fills you up.

do what he sayd and support iran bro
I would rather see fesenjoon tbh 🤤

I’m Syrian (same thing kebbeh is legendary in Syria too) and on behalf on all Arabs thank u for giving it a very decent score🎉
As a lebanese, I 100% agree, I do thank him too for giving it that score
im syrian 2 and i agree the score that he chose was pretty g especially for kebbah since it can be hard to make
Kibbeh is Syrian-Lebanese, lets agree on that. because it was invented at the times that Syria and Lebanon was united under one country and there was no division between Lebanese and Syrian people
am also Syrian
@@omargoalzz oh did u know that lebanon syria and palestine were all in 1 country together so ye i agree w u its a dish shared by all
@@omargoalzz yes! I agree
But in Syria generally kebbeh bil sanieh is waaay more popular than normal round kebbeh
At first i was on the fence, but that end product looks downright heavenly
It's hard to call Kebbe the national dish of Lebanon. You've gotta try the Lebanese meal. That should include a traditional Lebanese salad called Tabbouleh, with Kebbe as one of many appetizers along with Ftayer and the like, and maybe some Tawouk for the main course.
MY MAN NOTICED US AT LAST GOD BLESS YOU BRO
That looks like içli köfte
You need to try more lebanese foods
I like how colonarliy accurate these videos are
10/10
So its meat, stuffed with meat.
Ah yes, the floor is made out of floor.
I want it.
I am half jordan and we don't add meat in the bulgur shell and it's still sooo good.
You can even add chicken or beef instead of lamb.😋
Even tofu for vegetarians (however this is not a traditional filling)
you can add fat inside in certain types to flavour the inside or just fried onions and pinenuts is good.
The icli köfte my grandmother makes is almost exactly like he did in the video. I think a lot of regions have their own tweaks
MEAT FALAFEL
My grandma would make it with more meat on the outside and less bulgur. It was the best. Wish I had learned to cook from her. But I was too busy eating.
I had this version in Ankara but the Lebanese one is better. They were boiled/steamed instead of fried, I think that was the problem.
Turkish vershion has more meat and Spice
You should do the freezing country of Canada next! Where were BASIC AS HECK😎😎😎
Thank u so much for trying our kibeh
Love this series. Hoping you do Brazil soon, you gonna love Feijoada given your taste for beans!

Please rate turkish breakfast 🇹🇷
I love your videos and would be very happy to see my famous traditional breakfast culture among them.We are in the top 10 of many lists. We Turks attach great importance to breakfast, usually a carbohydrate-heavy diet. The type of breakfast we call "serpme kahvaltı" (sprinkled breakfast) means that many appetizers are laid out on the table.
