The little cat telehandler.. Well i found a niche role of pushing things and nudging them about at times. Its boom is very controlable and tou can use it as a almost hand to move things.
The Warthog I'd replace with Tatra 805 tbh. That thing is super wonky to drive. The 770G is useful on hard mode as a fuel transporter. 110% agree with the Land Rovers. P512 is okayish, I've never really used it. 57X is decent enough, gives you a chance to add some variety to the game with maps like Glades where there's a highway system. Definitely agree with the ANK, the Civilians just better as it has more torque. The TH357 is actually really nice as a scout tho! You should try it sometime, it can really hold its own :D
First, never noticed the difference of torque for the civilian. It also has no bed and, as far as I remember, is not free, while the ANK is free and is available at the very start of the game, I literally ulocked it with just my Chevy on All-Terrains before even getting outside the garage in Michigan for the first time in hard mode. Second, the fuel economy isn't bad by American truck standards. The numbers displayed are fuel consumption per minute, not per mile. Because Mk38 is very fast (and you better not upgrade the engine, it's completely unnecessary given how easy it is to damage the truck at high speeds) its total consumption over the course is about the same as the freakin 114SD and is just a little higher than the best US truck in the game - the FleetStar 2070. Paystar 5070 despite having larger tank and better efficiency tier is actually more likely to run out of fuel, cos it struggles for grip SO BAD! Mud tires don't save it, not even the tested best heavy tires in the game (the duallies, forgot their name). Though Paystar by far looks the best😢 I haven't tested "russian" trucks or any of the paid vehicles, I briefly drove the OG Tayga, and it was ok, I haven't noticed any extraordinary efficiency "russian" trucks are believed to have.
I started a new game+ mode and got the th357 as a scout and thought i wws screwed but i was accutally really fun the thing i thought was ehh about it was the suspension
I was using the 770G to complete it's mission last night and honestly the truck is a beast fully upgraded. It had no problem getting from A to B to C by itself. It has horrible turning radius, even worse than Mastodon and the big Kenworth.
Tuz 108 Warthog: Tarta 805 is worse; it lacks offroad ability, which is at okish rate for Tuz 108 Cat 770G: Still usable in Year 1 and 2 regions(especially Amur, where lacks of gas station) Land Rover+Jeep CJ7: Nothing to do other than revail the region and emergency repair(or recover) Pacific P512 PF: P12 can't even pass some terrain where P512 is capable despite of having AWD+Diff lock WS 57X: Okay, this one is simply nerfed Navistar ANK MK38: Azov 5 will change your mind due worse fuel economy CAT TH357: On extream climbing, it ties with Tatarin...but that's all.
???? Ive taken the land rovers through the entire British Columbia map and loved it! Let a stranger use it when he joined my lobby and the dude could barely get away from the garage... Dont blame the truck!
In my opinion the pacific p512 pf is great for the Canada maps and the easy maps basically but it is the best looking truck in the game and is good for if you want a challeng and dont want to use a russian truck. and Ford f 750 second best truck ( and my favorite scout), and the third best looking truck in snowrunner is the pacific p 16 again no all wheel drive but its a good choice.
The westernstar 49x and its brothers in the wolf pack are also good looking trucks, I highly recommend, and a mod creator "nanako" tweaked these trucks with his nanako wheels pack, making these trucks even more handsome
The Ank MK 38 i belive u find in Alaska if i´m not mistaken and while the downside of a smaller fuel tank and burn more then it should it is actually really good for the specific map u first find it in and u dont even need to repair or refuel it u just have to find it. There is no garage in that specific map and i found that u can fairly easily clear out many tasks and even a few contracts in that map without having to take it to a garage to change anything. The smaller fuel tank is abit of an issue but not as bad as u may think becouse that map has 2 huge fuel carriers at each end of the map so taking a detour to top up the tank isent a problem and the truck is fast so u can get that 200L tank to last for quite a bit. Ofc if u dont mind manually bringning in more trucks to the map this can be ignored but the Ank MK 38 is very good right away in the map u find it in and while its fuel situation isent the best it gets through rough terrain fast so the fuel situation looks worse then it actually is. I play on NG+ with recovery turned off so i dident wanna drive it back to the garage before the map was finished so i tried to use it and i was very supriced how good it was to clear out most tasks and open the map up for the bigger trucks to come in later. Ofc its not gonna be this good outside of Alaska or even this specific map but if u get a chans to start over then use it on that map and u will be supriced how good it really is.
With TUZ108 Warthog I think it has a very specific role - getting cargo from one point to another as fast as possible, fuel economy bedamned. I also note in your demo that you were hammering auto and driving specifically to tip it, I'd be interested to see how it handles if you drove more safely in Hi gear. I haven't done it but if the Cat telehandler has the forks removed it supposedly can be a budget scout and works better. How useful this is in a game riddled with scout vehicles is another question. the th357 is good for throwing it on a trailer, taking it to a loading area that your gonna use alot and get forklift certified. no trails no mud just forklift.
I generally agree with this video. Of course you can use the above vehicles just for the challenging. I personally have use the Cat 770 for a movable fuel station but you have to know the maps really good because is very wide. Of course the lack of AWD is an issue but most of the times with help of other trucks and winching has no major issues. I have used it in Kola Peninsula with no major issues ( though you have to be careful with the tiny bridges , icy roads and narrow passages)

Hardly dissagree with this list! Tuz108 is damn fast truck, not great, but interesting and capable with 43" tires and action suspense. 770 is not bad fuel mobile tanker. Land Rover 90 is fast compact scout, good for forest medium-diffficulty maps. P512 great choise for start maps, like Michigan or Alaska (some players admit his good mobility at snow, even at Amur). WS57x actually great for power and passability (specially with trailers). ANK 38 not imba, but normal choise for start regions (also he is very powerfull and fast). CAT357 is best scout at Hard-mode, because his high passability and fuel economy!
One correction: ANK Mk38 actually has pretty decent fuel economy by American trucks standards. Its engine consumps a lot of fuel at idle and max RPM, but it's very powerful and propells this car rocket fast. When you test the total fuel consumed towing a trailer over whatever standard course you like vs other trucks, you'll be surprised to find out that it's much more efficient than something like a Paystar 5070 and about ties with the likes of 114SD, almost getting close to one of the best American trucks in the game - the FleetStar 2070. But! That's provided you DO NOT upgrade the engine. First upgrade is just a little bit thirstier, so you can go for it if that's what pleases your ego, I personally haven't found any decrese in times measured driving various courses over the base engine. But that top dog powertrain is a real glutton! Avoid it like a plague! It does make the Mk38 noticably faster, but it like already feels tremendously fast! Like, why do you even need faster?! Snowrunner has very bad damage physics, you simply can not full spees a mild dird road without wearing your suspension down cause of various invisible sticks or boulders or whatever you always hit when going fast. So, while providing insignificant speed benefit, upgrades engines S*CK at tough situations like when you got stuck and try to recover.
If I need or want to use a truck with a small fuel tank like the ANK or Pacific I will usually take a large truck and tow it to where I want to use it. It’s kind of stupid honestly.
the irony is, when I tow trucks from a map to another, I usually go for the civilian ank as a heavy transport truck, paired up with the heavy lowboy, and you've got a setup! I towed the 10x10 azov with the heavy crane on it, I've towed my "scouted" krs bandit on it and towed my Navistar with it (these are my always 4 base trucks I start a map with! heavy crane, scout bandit, navistar for sideboard and ank for heavy loads, tho ank and navistar can swap roles time to time)
Wait wait wait? You say the Warthog is bad because of handling and being tippy. Then in better trucks the first one you mention is the... Actaeon? Man even Saber knew that the Actaeon was so bad that Saber had to break their own rules and give a offroad truck the autonomous winch. Otherwise you're never keeping that bloody thing on it's wheels. I agree the Warthog isn't amazing, especially compared to the 66A and Crocodile as you mentioned, those two are amazing. But the Warthog is at least a bit better than the Actaeon. With the CAT TH you bring up the thing not having extra fuel as if it doesn't have a 110L tank and only burns like what, 2, maybe 3L per minute. You can go one hell of a long distance on the 110L that machine has man. As for water yes it's weak against water, but in the majority of situations you can go around water. The Tatarin is relatively weak against water to and I don't think anybody would call that a bad scout. The CAT's wheelbase is so short the low ground clearance also isn't that big of a deal. I've scouted a lot with the CAT TH, even used it in some of the harder regions like Kola and Amur. You can't pull the wool over my eyes with this vehicle, I know how good it's range is and how much it can go though. lol Having repair points would be nice, I'll give you that. Luckily the CAT's rather slow speed makes it not very damage prone though.

The 57x is a dam good truck could use ground clearance but it has crazy power to push through most anything. U shure cry about fuel use its realy not that hard to setup gas stations if you need them and most maps have tankers or gas stations on them if you run out you probably drove by 1 or 2.

Very biased video. All those lame vehicles can be more fun if you use them to make it more challenging or to roll play. Its like the all terrain and high way tires. Nobody uses them. I decided to put them on my highway trucks and use them solely as road transporters. I pair them with a nice lowbed trailer, load my oversized truck on it, and transport them to the closest offroad place where they are needed, just like in real life where those oversized trucks aren’t allowed on the roads. And the telehandler.. I’m trying to incorporate it more with loading things, as that is its purpose. Don’t compare it to going through rivers and deep mud like other scouts, because its not a 4x4.
I feel like 70% of the vehicles in the game are trash. U have a giant cat construction truck struggling to do work? Am I the only 1 who sees how unrealistic that is? 😂 Scouts all suck ass except the F750, idk wjy highway trucks were even added if magically every map after the 1st starting 1 highways were apparently a suggestion made in passing & not in demand. Take a Scout or Highway truck out after the starting area & its gonna take u a month to do just a couple of missions 😂. Its honestly better to just download modded vehicles either go OP or just enough to remove most the unrealistic unnecessary tedium that is the ceaseless mud & snow to keep things moving & not moving at a snails pace like I dont have work everyday with only 2 days off.
Yep need op mod trucks when you can't drive and small scouts get places you can't get with big 1s. O BTW most trucks are a bit op after they get all there upgrades but the driver determines if the truck gets stuck

The western star 57X it’s my main US maps trucks for doing 18wheeler jobs and I find it good enough for a fun time

You’re using the wrong gearbox on the pacific. Speed is your friend.
If you know how to use your gears it is very good it is one of of the best trucks to use for speed and logs
THere's no reason to use the off road transmission on a rwd truck. Just use the fine tune on the p512 and it will rock your world.

Take a Scout or Highway truck out after the starting area & its gonna take u a month to do just a couple of missions 😂.
Its honestly better to just download modded vehicles either go OP or just enough to remove most the unrealistic unnecessary tedium that is the ceaseless mud & snow to keep things moving & not moving at a snails pace like I dont have work everyday with only 2 days off.
Yep need op mod trucks when you can't drive and small scouts get places you can't get with big 1s. O BTW most trucks are a bit op after they get all there upgrades but the driver determines if the truck gets stuck
The best scout is the International loadstar so yeah
