I am very grateful for this format of "Best of". Because honestly, people are not always honest - even with themselves. They may be picking "best of" off the marketing campaign or the interaction with the engineers at the show. But "most of" is completely quantifiable. If you've run in that shoe the "most" then it's working pretty damn well. And I just bought the Nimbus 25 in part based on this. Because I want a shoe I can put a LOT of slowish miles in.
@@rabihyounes747 : i dont have the superblast so I can't really give advices however, the superblast is a firm shoe that relies on its rocker to be fast nimbus is way softer (any softer would be too much) that will depends on what you wanna do with both shoe, and what other shoes you have in your rotation
@@rabihyounes747 : nimbus 25 is slightly more firm than the invincible, but feels way much more cushioned and stable (invincible is just mushy and unpleasant to me) i dont see much need of the superblast if you have the clifton and the speed, that both can do well in tempo and long runs
For whatever reason, we don’t hear reviewers raving about Nike shoes being one of the year’s best that often anymore. Personally, the Vaporfly is still my go-to shoe for race days. So I am glad that you are maintaining your own views even if they may not be popular. It’s one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this channel.
I think there's some image stuff going on which prevents some serious runners buying them. I.e., people who aren't super super quick don't want to buy them as they don't want people to see them as an 'all the gear no idea' type. Then of course you've got people who are just trying to be different to stand out, so come up with some left real shoe as the best one.
I ran my first comrades this year in my ASICS Novablast 3 LE. What an incredible shoe I do everything in them from speed work to recovery and now ultra at comrades.
I started using the Nimbus 25 back in May 2023 when I had been running through an ankle injury and I had no pain while running for the first time in months. I just bought the cumulus 25 for treadmill runs, replaced my Nimbus 25s, and have the super blast coming on back order. ASICS is really killin’ the running shoe game.
Was an invincible run 1 and 2 wearer but did not like the 3. Thanks for the initial Superblast reviews. Got them because of here and have not regretted it. Great shoes and was able to get a relatively cheap pair for 170USD in that grayish color.
Congratulations to you Mr.Ben Parkes and Ms.Sandra you guys are a good motivator when it comes to marathon races!I'm an avid fan of your UA-cam channel!May God continue to bless you and your family!❤🙏🏃♂️
5* video - great to see real world durability, especially in using 'race' shoes once they are past their best. I wish this was the benchmark for all youtubers
My favourite has been Asics Gel nimbus for years up until the 24, where I went through three pairs of those. But wasn't a fan of the big change with the 25, mostly because I suffer with achilles issues and the lower drop, slight rocker heal and also overly tight fit around the heel meant I could not wear it. I managed to snag another nimbus 24 in my size in th outlet before they completely disappear, but have to start looking for a new running shoe, after using the nimbus for over a decade. Thinking of nike invincible 3 or a brooks, either glycerin or ghost.
What I like is that me mentions both manufacturers of running shoes: Nike and Asics. Maybe one day they will be a third company that makes shoes. We can only hope.
Nothing like the Invincible 2. If you want to experience that "holly crap" moment that's the shoe. Not a versatile shoe but boy, is it fun to run in it. Bought 2 pairs discounted at 100 usd about 6 months after 3 came out.
While I like the Invincible V2, once I got the Nimbus 25 it really took over most runs I'd use the Invincible in. I just find the Invincible too squishy, so it doesn't feel great with strides thrown in. Unlike the Nimbus, which is still soft but not squishy soft so strides feel more natural. My literal do it all shoe is the Tempo Next%....just feels awesome no matter the pace. First pair at over 900km and I still use them in sessions! Second pair is at 300km and reserved for race specific longer sessions. Bought both pairs at 40% off, but can no longer find them (outside is silly secondary market). Nervously waiting on Tempo V2...
@@io-rj6sk I'm forced to the Canadian Nike portal. Although I know the shoes I have purchased in the past are shipped out of Europe. There is only 1 version of the Tempo Next%, but numerous colourways.
My go to shoe is also the tempo next %! As a lady they don’t even exist on the Nike website. I actually had to buy a gently used one on eBay. 😢 Praying they make them again - so incredibly versatile for easy, tempo, and even racing!
You must have quite the miles tracking system for so many shoes. I just use Garmin Connect and I only have 5 shoes listed (I only use 4 regularly but I put on a few miles on a shoe for testing). I guess you are a big Nike fan.
I think Asics Superblast looks very similar to Asics Novablast 3. And Novablast 3 can be found online at half the price of Superblast. So that being said, would people recommend Novablast 3 - at least in the 'value for money' category?
Yeah the Asics Superblast 😄🙏🙇♂️ It‘s pure butter for my running as well 🫶🏻 I just ran 44 k in them so I have a lot of fun left 🤙😍 It‘s so nice and fun to run in. That’s right ❤️😍
Your guides are super helpful and I’m deciding between two shoes now. I’ve chosen them because of their mileage, price and specs. Should I pick up some ASICS novablast 4s or some Nike invincible 2?
I really enjoy running in them good durability can pick up cheap in sales and I find them fast and comfortable I find them comfortable for between 3.30km pace which is my 400 rep pace to 5min km pace which is my marathon pace I got them on sale for 107 euro so definitely a bargain for me
Thanks for your video's!! Been running for close to a year now and have two questions. You talk about some softer shoes not being good for "up to pace" running" What would you consider this to be? Love to find a shoe that is as comfortable as the Super Blast but I tend to supinate, thoughts? Thanks again for inspiring us to get out and run!
Great video Ben but as I have a wide shoe in my spectrum of shoes I can't wear Asics just too fine..... do you have any followers that have covered similar in Books Ghost Max etc
Oh man, I love how you caught me pulling my half tights up a bit at 4:06 - I’m in the blue singlet on the right and my Tracksmith half tights were sliding down a bit for the first mile or so. Really flattering footage of me 😂
Hi everyone. My vote, in 2023, goes to: Saucony kinvara 14( speed day&intervals), Asics superblast( race day), saucony triumph 21( long/easy run) and brooks cascadia16( trail running). Here is my Like. Cheers.
Can anyone help me out? Im going into military and need to run 3k in 12minutes. Im searching for good shoes to learn with good form, but also for shoes to get to this level.
I just bought a pair of the ASICS Superblast, but they feel too soft when I’m running and causes pain in my legs. Is this common? Do I need to adjust my running style?
Hi Ben, where do you sell your running shoes? I would be interested as I am somewhat of a shoe seller myself, selling used pairs on Vinted as a little business.
I would get 1300-1500km out of a pair of invincibles yet the superblast you're only getting 700km? For the price and durability that is not a daily trainer for the masses.
I usually run on treadmill during weekends while on weekends I'm mostly running on roads...the durability of shoes last longer if you run on treadmill .

Agreed. Superblast is absolutely fantastic
Superblast 2 available July in uk at £200. "Paris" colourway.

I wanna see more love for Altra’s, so so underrated and comfy
This guy seems to prefer a high heel-to-toe drop and a "maximalist" shoe, which isn't what the Altras are.
Made the same switch from Invincible 2 to Superblast. Absolutely love them both to death.
Got 3 of them Inv1, vapo, nimbus 26 😊

Brooks, Hoka, saucony are other companies , I personally have hoka and they are great
When you say 1700km in the invincible, does that imply ONE pair?
