Good review Andrew, I bought one shortly after you introduced it to us trying to identify a mountain lion, cougar, panther, here in north GA. Of course it's not come through the same path but I have seen multiple deer, raccoons, possums, etc. I can't say how satisfied it's been using it being able to pan, tilt, and zoom. I'm about to get another for my driveway entrance as a security measure. I have to say its the best money I've spent and data, as youve said is very reasonable. Appreciate the information as I wouldn't have known such a useful product was available. I was going to buy a cellular game cam which is less than half or less useful as this. Gonna use your link for the second one. Thanks!
What I like most about your review videos is your honesty… you are not sweet-talking a product because you have a deal with the company, but you just tell it like it is. And I like that. Please keep that up, because it adds to your value as a honest person. With love from the Netherlands, Ben
Thank you for watching! I do NOT get paid for these reviews. I do get to keep the product, but I get to no matter if it's a negative review or positive. I will never accept a product that a company requests a positive review. The product must speak for itself.
Andrew you already wired the house for networking. If you can get a good outdoor ap you could simply deploy as many as those Reolink cameras as you like using wifi instead of paying for cellular. I have my entire 100 acre property covered in wifi using Ubiquiti and i also recently purchased a dozen of those Reolink PTZ solar cameras. Everything is working great!
In the UI config you simply create a mesh network and it will configure each AP then bam total wifi coverage. The range here for 1 single AP is around 1300ft. I can walk you through all of this when that time comes. Its easy
I love my Reolink Go PT cam. Super clear and been working great for more than 14 months so far. I have it mounted on my front entry gate. The talk-listen function works good and the siren function is cool too. My daughter has 2 Argus PTs which is the exact same camera but work via internet and not cellular.
Andrew, this is an extremely professional and informative review. This is a fantastic way to enhance security around any building or property. This would be perfect for my boathouse and dock down on the lake. Peace of mind is priceless.
@@TKCL Yes, we have lived on the water for almost 19 years. Our perfect day is getting on the lake bright and early for a boat ride while the water is still smooth as glass, come back home then a 45 minute drive to Disney to drink our way around Epcot 🍹 and eat sushi at the Japanese pavilion restaurant then come home to spend the evening in the spa to relax our aching legs and feet. We love Florida and the lake lifestyle. 🌞
Hi Andrew, quick little tip about infrared cameras. They have lenses made of germanium, because IR cannot penetrate glass. It reflects off of it. So keep that in mind with future installations. Where you have them now is really great and sensiblely configured. Great report.
Man that is an awesome camera Andrew. You definitely did need that for your property man cuz you have a lot of important equipment on your property and you need some type of security. I like how you can move it around and its solar power. I need to talk my brother into getting something like this. He drives my second truck and Park it at his house & he's always away from his house and I need some type of security around the truck especially when I'm making payments on it. Thank you for sharing this video. You take it easy buddy.
Awesome camera.....the pan and tilt and zoom is really an awesome feature. And the fact you could put it almost anywhere is awesome. Do you think they would work on my jobsites?
To capture whats on your phone on screen you have some options, depending upon how you record your videos. If you use OBS to do your videos you can capture a stream from your phone by using third party app which will let you stream your phone via your PC, or if your phone as HDMI out capabilities you can use the HDMI out and a device like those from Elgato to capture it on your PC or if your have Samsung you cna use the Samsung sync app to simulcast your phone to your PC and then use a Window capture option under "Add" in OBS. I think I iPhones have a similar app.
Thank you Andrew that was a great review. Question Im looking to put one around my chicken coop. Do you think you can adjust the settings to where it would pick up a dog or person but not the chickens.
That’s pretty cool. Getting the camera and setting it up and all is cool but I wouldn’t even pay 25 or 30 a month for it but eight dollars is really affordable that makes it available to a lot of people. For me it’s really not something that I need so I would kind of be throwing money away it would be more for fun and just a little extra security but I figured it would take away more data than that and cost a ton. Pretty cool
@@TKCL me too, I never checked it but I never imagined it would be anything close to that low. That makes a huge difference makes that more practical for 10 times as many people probably. 🍾🎉
I do not, it's been a long time since I worked with this company. I will say every camera is still working perfectly. Amazon usually offers discount coupons for these. See if there is a box to check on the page you clicked on in the video description.
Andrew I have Verizon as my internet provider on my Android phone. You mentioned there may be an connection/interaction problem with Verizon and the Eiotclub sim card. I'm NOT tech savvy so any clarification will help me on this possible purchase on this security(Reolink Go PT) camera system. This will be my first and really need a secuity system purchase.
Eiotclub Sim is for T mobile and AT&T only. Verizon gets a little picky on non cellular devices. You would have to get a camera and give them the IMEI identification number of it to see if they have a compatible data plan.
Andrew thanks for responding. Gosh there are millions of Verizon phone owners that would like this easy security camera setup. Verizon is the only service that work perfect in my neck of the woods.
Dig the videos, my problem is that I got 6 go pt cameras for the park we manage, but that would mean 600 a year just to look at them a couple times a month at most. Any info on multiple camera plans? Thanks
Thanks for doing a review on the security cameras. I've been looking into some of the same. Do they give you a bulk discount when you buy more than one camera as a package deal?
Andrew... That almost seems like a cheaper camera than the game camera I have set up at the hunting land. How is the quality of the camera case and all??... Do you have to do much to the cameras that are out in the open?? Is there any maintenance or concerns that you have about their durability???
LISTEN I JUST GOT MY CAMERA BROUGHT TWO FREEDOMPOP SIM CARDS. THE SIM DOESN'T WORK WITH OUT SOME TYPE OF CONFIGURATION. AND IM GETTING THE RUN AROUND WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM FREEDOMPOP. I NEED A NETWORK SIM CARD THAT WORKS WITH THE REOLINK GO PT.....WHATS BEST ?
Yes you must have a SD card in the camera for FREE recording and playback. You can pay extra for cloud recording services as well. A Sim card will allow you to access all of this without pulling the SD card.
I didn't really find this all that useful, I'm trying to find out how it to get it to pick up a weak cell signal. Since it doesn't have a external antenna you just can't add a directional antenna like the other models.
Is there a reset button? Reset the camera if so and try again, I've been fortunate that both of mine have worked flawlessly. What Sim card are you using?
@@TKCL eiotclub I used it in my first one and had no issues. I’ll try the reset that about only thing I hadn’t done lol . I was hopi g it was going to be as easy as the first one

I agree and I plan to do that. That's why the cellular cameras will watch the driveway and the animal shelter where no wifi exists.

I've got about 8 reolink cameras, all have been flawless. A couple of them are two years old and outside in direct sunlight.

No, but I often see coupon discounts on Amazon.

Yes you do, within 2 seconds of it triggering. It's very fast!
👍

Every camera and yes you pay for each data. There are cheaper plans if you want.
Can this Camera accept Sim or Network from Africa especially Nigeria?
I have no idea to be honest, not familiar with your cellular carriers.
I have the same SIM card & camera, my problem is it does not connect to my phone !
Sounds like a app issue or setup. Did you get the voice prompt that setup was successfully after inserting the Sim card?

No they don't
Can your live feed animals and see them in real time?
Not exactly sure what you are asking. It can pickup animals and watch them live we have one of these in our dog kennel.
