I love all the Teahupoo surfing videos. It sounds like all the cool locals moved to Tahiti... too many times I have traveled to surf and the local surfers are all total jerks. I bring the Aloha spirit anyway, but its hard sometimes when you are the only one with a good attitude.

Enjoy watching the Vaast kids. Kauli has big skills, but his younger siblings can and do charge their local break. I guess their mom is happy they wear headgear, with her kids out there on big waves with jagged reef under shallow water. Recently saw Kauli’s 11 year old brother riding a very respectable wave there.
Went first time in '98. Almost all spongers then. So glad I went pre hype. Don't forget to shake hands and smile and give away more than you are given!
