Cobalt Violet Light, my absolute favorite oil paint color. I finally broke down and ordered an expensive tube from Michael Harding and was not disappointed. The color nearly glows and is yet not garish at the same time. I will treasure it and use it only for special paintings.
You are very clever... you make some ordanary tones out of extreme expensive colours novody really needs and say... 8h god, how beautifull it is, but i mean everybony knows that the beauty of a colour alone is not important when it comes to painting. You basicly need just a handfull of michaels awesome paints to make every colour you want. But you suggest the viewer that they need just every pigment. You get many from mr. Harding? I mean you basicly just need, 2 yellows, a red, megenta and ultra mb. and transor, and phtalo green and thats it...
These videos are intended to demonstrate what happens when you mix certain colors with other colors. They are useful and help someone decide if they want those colors on their palette or not. If a small palette is useful to you, then so be it. You are not the arbiter of which paint colors artists should purchase. Also, why do you wish to know if Vicki is getting paid by Mr. Harding? Her time and effort help make these videos, so why wouldn't she get paid? Nobody is trying to fool you into purchasing paint colors - she's just showing what they do. If you like them - great. And if you don't - great, stick to the ones you like to work with.

You got the whole CMY palette going to cover the whole spectrum, nice!
Hi Vicki, thank you for your wonderful review!!!
Very helpful. I'm glad you did it too, Vicki.
I bought those colours one month ago and now you give me this demonstration. Thank you.
At last I have found a use for Cobalt violet! A useful video. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! I'm afraid I'm now addicted to it, having previously been unsure how to employ it I can't imagine being without it now!!
Gorgeous! 💖
I love when you said, "The yellow ochre just swallowed it." LOL
Thanks for the info 👌👌
Always welcome
so cool
thanks
People say despite their really high price cobalt violet colors tends to be weak in mixing, they have a low timting strength. Is that true?
Yes it's true
Certain pigments are inherently weak tinters. Price doesn't have anything to do with it.
Correct me if I was wrong, the cobalt color may darken later when mixed with lead colors...
Hardly. I have not seen such information anywhere (in literature and video).
the cobalt violet light i got is a lot more red than yours interestingly, maybe its the camera or difference in batches
I got asmr thanks.
