First two games I lasted approximately 18 minutes combined before being utterly destroyed!
Always fun to make lists! Hope people enjoy these!
It's not a full RTS, but I'd highly recommend 'Angels Fall First'. It has real time FPS and ground/space vehicle combat, and a commander mode to have a wider tactical overview and decision making.
Awesome list, adding some to my wishlists
Haegemonia: Legions of Iron
Here is one everyone actually forgot about, it was great.
Even until this day few games match the great particle effects and death animations that game has. Not to mention the fantastic battle soundtrack.
Another great list, more games added to my wishlist :D
Really targeting your wallet these days :D
You know when you mention Imperium Galactica 2, i was like they are on the 4th game, but i was thinking of Galactic Civilization, lol whoops
Sins of a Solar Empire ties with Dawn of War as my favorite games of all time. Space RTS games are my favorite Genre. The more emphasis on Capital Ships, the better.
Capital ships...I like your style! - Tom
i still like Conquest: Frontier Wars .. it's a simple RTS .. but i have always liked it ...
I loved CFW. Does it run on windows 10 now? I have the gog version but it didn't work last time I tried even with the various fixes.
I still have the disk version of Imperium Galactica 2 lying around somewhere. It was fun 20 years ago.
Imperium Galactica 2 was so good back then. I dont understand why they dont make a game like that, just with modern graphics.
They started making IG3, but for reasons i do not know that ended up becoming "Nexus: The Jupiter Incident"
I still own my copy of Imperium Galactica II bought in 1999. It's my all time favorite 4X space game. It has all even battle on planets. The only game of this genre that I like as much is Endless Space 2.
Been playing Endless Space 2....its awesome!
You guys have been killing it lately. Keep up the good work
Thank you mate!
The Dreemboat…. Twice in one week! We can’t get enough of lovely Tom…. The boyband face of LTG… who cares about the subject matter with looks and vocals like this ….more…. More …..MORE, baby cakes 🐸🐌❤️🚀
Those were the days "Sins of a solar empire" was my poison of choice.
And from a lots of interesting mods : Maelstrom.
Gemini wars is another good one that was overlooked by many.
I will def check this out, one for the next list - Tom
Missing Conquest: Frontier Wars from the list! This game is one of more interesting "forgotten gems".
Had no idea about Executive Assault.2 def gonna buy it friday
Enjoy it mate!
That's a Operation Flashpoint and Max Payne soundtrack...? That's so bizarre...
Planetary annihilation is a fantastic game
I should really play PA Titans.. I mean SupCom and SupCom FA were my favorite games for a long long time.
Nebulous Fleet Command game mechanics are appealing, but I don't like the visual fidelity. And I generally don't buy into early access.. not after the disappointment I had with MWO
You could also consider Beyond all Reason and Zero-K if you like the SC series, both are free too - Tom
@@LTGamingUA-cam Free games are the best games :) You covered those earlier didn't you?
Not having as much time ( or energy ) recently for long gaming sessions but I'll take a look thanks for the recommendations, and the content in general!
Great video!
Wow y'all. (hi from the usa) This was excellent both in topic and picks. I'm going to play a few of these
Hey mate! Glad you got something here! Thanks for the kind words. - Tom
I really want to play AI War 2 multiplayer. But i have not figured out how to trick my friends into playing it yet. Beating Two lvl 7 AI's solo is one thing, being dragged down by your friends against a level 5 or 6 would be another.
You see just how much better Nebulous is when Homeworld 2 soundtrack plays in the background and you immediately understand why you should avoid most space trash in favour of the real classics, it's like a drug and no matter how many modern twists on it you try, nothing can quite give you the same high. Freelancer is the same.
They had it all, art styles, narrative, great audio and soundtracks, and they transported you into their universe with real purpose, not to put a tick in an achievement box or try and hold your attention long enough to sell you dlc. No need for early access or 50 patches to get it right.
To be fair - Nebulous already offers more mechanics than Homeworld 2 ever did.
It just lacks the storytelling of Homeworld. But it's a brilliant, in-depth game that doesn't *feel* like Early Access, it feels like a full package.
What's the name of the background music you're using for when you're talking about Imperium Galactica 2?
Max Payne? Bugging me too
Max Payne 2, I really like that mournful violin 🎻 - Tom
@@LTGamingUA-cam Thanks man.
thumbmail was eve online tho
isnt homeworld kina rts? homeworld 3 coming 2024 too
Indeed it is, did a preview on it not so long ago! but I kinda consider it not in the forgotten category 😅 - Tom
And you have a picture of a megathron on your thumbnail lol
Yup used to play EVE like crazy, an homage - Tom
I thought Homeworld and X4 Foundations will be here.
Forgotten games?
They're not forgotten.
Not one game here has mining. Nothing but space war…..now we all know where all the wars are going to be…..from earth to space. War is never ending as long as mankind exists.😢
There is Starminer on the way. It wouldn't make a fun competitive game would it?
The video title is '6 **FORGOTTEN** Real-Time Strategy Space Games' - but the 2nd entry in the list (Executive Assault 2) was released in October 2023 on Steam - barely six months ago at time of video release. If a game can be forgotten in only 6 months, it probably wasn't worth remembering at all at any time....
The name is vehicle to discuss games that deserve a larger player base. Many games are released each year and EA 2 is a quality game. Smaller games deserve airtime or only the games with the biggest marketing budget would ever be heard of.
@@LTGamingUA-cam Perhaps - but words still have accepted meanings; for example, the word 'forgotten'. You don't get to arbitrarily change these meanings on a whim.
