Tarquin: Roman clan name of uncertain meaning Meaning of Roman: Latin, "citizen of Rome" Farquad: close to Farquhar which means “friendly/beloved Mostly for middle eastern/North African people from personal experience
My brother is Finnian (Finn) and whilst we’ve meant multiple Finn’s we’ve never met another Finnian!! I think he quite likes that! X so excited for you! Xxxx
My favorite names are (for girls) : Carolina, Isabella, Elizabeth (even though it's the same, but I love how they sound) and Araluen. (For boys) Alexander and Benjamin.
Some of Mikes names😂! Here's the baby names I like: GIRLS~ Arwen•Aderyn•Aerowyn•Briar•Bronwyn•Cosette• Charmaine•Casiphia•Clemency•Evangeline•Elowen• Elyanah•Freya•Gwentessa•Gretchen•Jovie•Junia• Louvenia•Lorelai•Matteah•Octavia•Willow•Tristane• Tatiana•Simone BOYS~ Atticus•Archer/Archie•Amos•Beau(pronounced like Bow tie)•Clarke•Dexter•Emmett•Edward•Elliot•Ezra•Fraser• Gideon•Henry•Josiah•Jasper•Kylian•Liam•Logan•Leon/Leo•Micah•Marcus•Neil•Rhett•Rowan•Tobias•Thatcher• Vincent•Wren
I also wanted very much to name my daughter India but my husband said no as my daughter is half - Indian and we currently live in India, so it would sound common, so We named her Anabelle and shell be 5 sooon.
I think that in a generation's time, the "common" names will no longer be common at all as in recent years every parent seems determined to name their child something completely unique!! I quite like the middle ground - not necessarily unheard of, but not something that there will be loads of other children with the same name at school! :)
In some holy books its said that u and ur soulmate will have some physical similarities n i see u n mike do too.. but u both sortta have same smiles.. n u both r too cute ..i had a tiff with my fiance but cos of u both i forgave him. 😁
A friend of mine just named her daughter Billie, super cute and very rare here in Sweden :) As for the middle name being an animal my guess is Robin, or Bunny as well
There's a woman in my yoga class named Tequila. I've heard it before it's not unheard of. I personally can't imagine using it, but I know lots of people who like the name Jamison/Jameson with sounds just as bad imo.
dmallow22 | Some drinks like Jameson or Baileys already are names (surnames) of course. But I also know a Chardonnay, which is really a grape, and Tequila is also a city.
I agree with Mike about the names like Chanel, Mercedes, Diamond, etc... not to be offensive to anyone given that name but it does seem a bit ostentatious and tacky.
i don't normally like names like that either. i would never call my child mercedes or diamond! however, i do really like the name chanel and i don't know why
Agreed, for the most part. The only one I would disagree with is "Mercedes" since that religious (Catholic) name was in existence way before becoming a car brand name. But I understood what Mike meant. Other jewel names could be cute though - like Ruby or Jade. Ruby is super popular nowadays.
If the name is of cultural significance to you, then great. I just meant that often people can be turned off from a name due to associations with brands, TV, celebrities, and so on without regards to the origin or meaning of the name.
She Hearts The High Street Channel I’m pregnant at the moment, We don’t know if we are expecting a girl or a boy yet but this is on our list of girls names, I love it!
The problem these days is that everyone is so caught up on "not having a common name" that eventually we are literally going to end up with children with the most ridiculous made up names. I'm a paediatric clinician by the way so I have seen many magical creations from parents. Let me tell you there are some shockers! X
There's a line you have to walk, I think. You want to like how a name sounds and/ or what it means, but it also has to be both unique enough to serve its purpose- a unique identifier, but no so weird people will say 'I'm sorry, what' every time the kid introduces him or herself.
Angel Persephone Armogida Ah, I love the name (and character!) Talim. I wasn't aware of its meaning or origin before either, so thanks for letting me know! I find name meanings so interesting. 😊
Tom Ripley well the ppl that would possibly ' kick the shit out of him' have probably grown up in awful households if they are going to be little shits
Steph Starrett They won't necessarily kick the shit out of him but I went to grammar school and Tarquins always got ribbed for being hoity-toity, pretentious and pompous.
Tom Ripley | I know so many with super weird names that were popular and kids with normal names that got bullied. I can't even think of any kid that was bullied solely because of their name. Perhaps a little teasing with something that rhymes.
I think when naming a child, it’s important to remember that you’re not naming a kid, you’re naming an adult that will be looking for a professional job and will too possibly be a parent.
TheFieldhockeygk11 I agree. It does make a difference unfortunately. Especially when you’re in the world of work. It shouldn’t, but it does. My daughter is called Robyn and I thought it was a bit unusual but she could be also be a CEO should she want to! Lol.
OMG! I am from India and you guys loving the name India makes me so happy! ☺️ Also, you guys are the cutest. This kiddo is gonna be one of the most pampered and cutest baby ever. Good luck to you guys. ♥️
If my dad had had his way and if I had been born on a Tuesday I would have been named that 😂 luckily my mum quickly put a stop to it and I was born on a Thursday!
Mike, I had to interrupt this video to tell you to go watch Keeping Up Appearances and see if you still like the name Tarquin for a boy after that. LOL Ok back to the video.
Lyra is so gorgeous, so is Scarlett :) I also like Fox as a middle name, and Blue as a girl's name (but my favourite colour name is Burgundy for a girl). I'd also never thought of it but September's quite beautiful. Great tag, thanks!
Hi!, Javier is spanish and Xavier is from Catalonia in Spain... We call Lola to women whose name is Dolores. If we translate Dolores to english it means: “pains” I like Alba and Alma. Alma means: soul, and Alba means: the light before the sunrise. 💋
Sorry Mike, totally on Fleur's side about Tarquin 😂 also, I know a really naughty Shetland pony called Tarquin...
AmieET best comment ever!!!! And naughty pony 😂😂😂😂 🐴🐴🐴🐴
I lost it at Tarquin and Farquad, hahahah.
These people have no taste.
Tarquin: Roman clan name of uncertain meaning Meaning of Roman: Latin, "citizen of Rome"
Farquad: close to Farquhar which means “friendly/beloved
Mostly for middle eastern/North African people from personal experience
i love lyra!!
i always thought lyra was pronounce like vera for some reason? haha like lera but spelt lyra still if that make sense?
I like it; I'd be concerned that it would be often mispronounced as Leera.
Kelly Lim it's my daughter's name!
Annie Peterson that happens about 25 percent of the time--not too bad.
Lyra sounds like liar
It's great to see just how excited fleur is
Love you guys together. Such a sweet loving couple💜
My brother is Finnian (Finn) and whilst we’ve meant multiple Finn’s we’ve never met another Finnian!! I think he quite likes that! X so excited for you! Xxxx
I'm totally guessing that you're naming your baby Lilah Wren 😍
Gyðja | or mila
You were half right! She’s River Wren!
My youngest son is Xander Phoenix. I love his name and love that his names begin and end with X.
In Canada there is a drug called Lyrica kind of Lyra and my niece is named Elliette a spin on the boys version.
I like fleur's baby name choices! Not so sure about Mike's though😅
As far as food related names, for some reason I love Lemon as a girls name! Also quite like Catcher for a boy.
A town near where I grew up in Florida is called Maitland
I think they will call the baby girl Robyn or Robin 🌸💞 Loved watching Fleur and Mike debate names!
TARQUIN! omg lmao i alsoooo realllllly love the name imogen! and then you said immy for short!! sooo cute! i'm obsessed!!!
Lyra is an art supply brand
I wanted spanish name for my baby, she will be Maia Valentina. But I love your english choices. Cant wait to know!!
Oh that is BEAUTIFUL! 💜 xo
You and Mike look soo much alike!
I like Maxwell for a girl, Blake lively named her daughter James which is cute i think !
My favorite names are (for girls) : Carolina, Isabella, Elizabeth (even though it's the same, but I love how they sound) and Araluen. (For boys) Alexander and Benjamin.
Throwing Bertie into the prediction ring!
Loved this video ☺️

It's so funny on prerefrences like how she hates names that are 'boring'. But I hate names that sound crazy just for the sake of being different.
Seren means star in Welsh
I also wanted very much to name my daughter India but my husband said no as my daughter is half - Indian and we currently live in India, so it would sound common, so We named her Anabelle and shell be 5 sooon.
So happy for you both!!!!!
Tarquin reminds me of Keeping Up Appearances :)
I really like the name Genevieve
Just called my little girl Adeline. It was between Adeline and Aubrey
I loved this. I like the name Adeline also. 💖
+Yarialis Lopez Yay :) glad you liked it! Such a gorgeous name! xo
Fleur DeForce if I have a daughter I am combining my fiancé’s name with my name. My name is unique.
It’s a mix between my mom and my aunts name.
Esme is always a good name
Charlie is this girl!
Marnie !!! No sorry just think of geordire shore 😫
My biggest guess for your daughter is Elijah
I think that in a generation's time, the "common" names will no longer be common at all as in recent years every parent seems determined to name their child something completely unique!! I quite like the middle ground - not necessarily unheard of, but not something that there will be loads of other children with the same name at school! :)
I have a feeling the babies name will be something like Riley🙈💛
Is it going to be Daniela?
I love Lennox for a girl
Anne Grimes that's my last name😊
This was a fun video! I really enjoyed it :)
Thanks Monica! So glad you liked it! xo
I love Alma! Witch means "soul" in spanish (I leave in Barcelona ) It could fit your L+A kind of name ;-)
I have another guess: Frankie Fawn
Leon is a nice name for a boy
Why don't you use your initials f. And m combine ?
I’m a girl named Michael 😂😂 so when mike said that when y’all were talking about boy names from girls it made me smile
I wonder if her middle name will be wren!
India : I like curry LOL haha such a pretty name and such an explanation behind for Mike!
My prediction is that she will name her baby Hunter or Haydon😉
In one of your previous videos I thought I saw a baby item with the initials P.B ???
Anyone else?
I think that's potentially an item from the baby shop 'Petit Bateau' - sorry! xo
Ha! Thought I was being eagle-eyed and clever.
In some holy books its said that u and ur soulmate will have some physical similarities n i see u n mike do too.. but u both sortta have same smiles.. n u both r too cute ..i had a tiff with my fiance but cos of u both i forgave him. 😁
I'm guessing Parker or Emerson for a girl. I don't know for a boy!
Tarquin and Farquad 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard! Mike is hilarious
npigwnl reminds me of lord farquad from Shrek
you cant call a baby lasagna, but you can call a baby Liz Anya
Quinn 😂😂😂
*perfection*
Quinn that's exactly what I think about when I hear Chris Pratt. Crisp. Rat.
Anya means Mom in Hungarian 😁
Why did Lyra remind me of Lycra instantly 😶 I guess I agree with mike on it
Barenya Nayak same!
Tarquin is gonna go to jail for hazing underclassmen
Hot sauce de force
Hahahahaha 😂😂😂 xo
As a teacher I find naming anything very hard - every name on this list is the name of a child I’ve taught!
Haha and say if you had a baby and picked a name that you like but the child you teach is super annoying and it puts you off😂
You two are very alike. I've never noticed it before. 😄
Fiona Midgley their child will have amazing eyelashes!!
It is very common for couples to look alike!
they look like siblings!
“India” that British Imperialism though LOL
Your baby is going to have amazing eyes 👀😘
My guess is Billie, super cute, not too popular, has an L sound & traditionally a boys name, if only I could put money on it!
Sorcha F Yes Billie or Charlie! And she said an animal middle name... hmmm I’m gonna go with bunny.
Sorcha F my daughters Billie ha
I mean it is tied with Billie Piper, but she's a lovely woman! x
Also Bill is also short for William -> mikes middle name. You may be onto something ;)
A friend of mine just named her daughter Billie, super cute and very rare here in Sweden :) As for the middle name being an animal my guess is Robin, or Bunny as well
baby name linked with a month. May De Force :-p You must have heard this before ;-)
OMG YES!
LOLLL
arankahes 😂😂😂👌
I worked in a group at university with a girl called Tequila. Can’t get much worse than that
Simology | it’s horrible drink of course. Baileys is better.
My boyfriend wants to call our dogs Tequila and Whiskey 😂 a bit better on a dog than a person
Martini ? She is horrible as well
Maybe not Tarquin but Quinn is nice for a boy :)
Amanda Palmer my daughter is Quinn👍
Oh thats lovely for a girl too.
Amanda Palmer thank you. She is Quinn Ava and our son is Grey Andrew.
I like those names! Combination of them too!
No no.. I knew a red headed boy with freckles named Quinn & he was so annoying + always in trouble!
Jackson, Logan, Finn... who’s loving the Gilmore Girls names? Your baby should probably be called Rory, lol. ❤️
Janet van Milligen I would die if she did that. My fave show ever!!!!
Omg Lori to 😆
My husband’s number one choice for a girl is Andromeda. So Mike’s choices are a lot more reasonable
Lavender chick Great name! You should go for Galaxy as a middle name. 😄
My partner's number one choice is Björn or Koda. Only because they both mean bear.
I like Andromeda! Or Ana for short.
I'd never forgive my dad if he named me Andromeda 😂😂😂
Bjorn's a good name, I think.
How lovely playing with his hand! You two are so in love and it shows! X
I agree with Mike about the names like Chanel, Mercedes, Diamond, etc... not to be offensive to anyone given that name but it does seem a bit ostentatious and tacky.
Lauren S oh lord yes.
i don't normally like names like that either. i would never call my child mercedes or diamond! however, i do really like the name chanel and i don't know why
Lauren S Agree except for Mercedes, I'm from a Spanish speaking country and Mercedes is a common name (and it has no relation to the car).
Tarquin -> VETOED
😂
Haha i think it's safe to say you guys are backing me up on this one! 😂 xo
You are so giddy with happiness!
Someone I know who recently had a baby girl named her Lennox which I thought was lovely. Unique and different but not obnoxious lol
Jennifer Myers it’s a quaint beautiful town in western Massachusetts.
I genuinely thought you were going to call your daughter Stella!
A star-themed name I always thought was sweet is Seren, which is the Welsh word for star :) 🌟✨
This is so lovely :) xo
She Hearts The High Street Channel I’m pregnant at the moment, We don’t know if we are expecting a girl or a boy yet but this is on our list of girls names, I love it!
Anna onthedressingtable that's so sweet- and congratulations! ✨🌟 Adorable name! X
She Hearts The High Street Channel My name is Serina and that's awesome
Or Estelle or Celeste they're associated with stars right?
Literally never heard Xavier pronounced that way in my life, lol. Sounds so much more exotic when you guys say it!
The way they pronounced it is the common french pronunciation for the name 'Xavier' but is also used a lot in England too
Chrissy Long it makes me think of Javier (pronounced HA-vier, of course) the way they say it
I literally went to the comment just to post this same thing. Definitely not how most people pronounce it in the US.
Same!!!! Sounds so weird to me
yeah I’ve only ever heard in pronounced zay-vee-er rather than zavv-ee-ay... interesting tho...
Hi Fleur, my name is Lyra!
Omg AWESOME! Such a gorgeous name - super cool to hear from someone who has it! xo
Beautiful name!!
my favouite name and iv never come across someone with it!
Come and meet me then!
Lyra H my name to😂
First thing I thought when she said that she was having a girl
Isabella “Bella” de force!
Probably wrong
Forget Lola. All older generations will think about is that she was a showgirl with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there...
Tom Ripley I just don't like Lola, personally.
Doesn't Lola end up being a man in the song? 😳
Hahah I'm 22 and I immediately thought of that been they said Lola.
Seren means star in Welsh 💗
Soooo cute! ⭐ xo
my daughter's name is Serenity and Seren is her nickname from her godparents
It’s pronounced Ser-en not Ser-un (as a fluent welsh speaker it is a huge big bear of mine 😂) nice idea with the star theme.
I think it's a beautiful name, Whatever Fleur chooses will be perfect she has the best taste xxx
Stars are just hot gas balls that a millions of years apart from others. Not too desirable
Delilah ? Marnie ? Who else thought of the hoopers and FOD on Instagram ? 😂
The problem these days is that everyone is so caught up on "not having a common name" that eventually we are literally going to end up with children with the most ridiculous made up names. I'm a paediatric clinician by the way so I have seen many magical creations from parents. Let me tell you there are some shockers! X
rose w agree 100%
rose w I've genuinely met a wee girl called tinkerbell before. I thought it was a nickname for ages! 🙈
Oh please share!
There's a line you have to walk, I think. You want to like how a name sounds and/ or what it means, but it also has to be both unique enough to serve its purpose- a unique identifier, but no so weird people will say 'I'm sorry, what' every time the kid introduces him or herself.
My ex-neighbour couldn't think of a name for there baby boy, so they actually registered him as baby boy!
will you be doing a name reveal?
i'm due a few months after you with my twins and i must say - you hit a couple of my name choices in the tag. ☺️☺️
This was pretty funny - my grandchildren (twin boys) are Logan & Luke. Named after Wolverine & Luke Skywalker - and I'm being serious!!
Haha this is awesome! xo
Angel Persephone Armogida Cool, I love the Soul series! Which character did you name your daughter after, out of interest? :)
Angel Persephone Armogida Ah, I love the name (and character!) Talim. I wasn't aware of its meaning or origin before either, so thanks for letting me know! I find name meanings so interesting. 😊
Someone at work's baby granddaughter is called Seren (Welsh for star).
What about Aurora?
Sameh Yehia That's a good name!!!
I was almost called this
Your hair Fleur 😍
It’s so interesting how y’all say ‘Xavier’... much prettier with an English accent. Here in Southern Texas we pronounce it ‘Ex-ay-vier’
I pronounce it ex zay v er
Xavier feels like he could be the next doctor.. His personality is totally the doctor
lakenessa whose personality?
Xavier is such a common name where i'm from. It's as common as Harry lol
Yeah, call him Tarquin if you want his mates to kick the shit out of him at school for seven years.
Tom Ripley hmm I guess, I think id rather be posh. Then a chav that thinks he's ' hard as nails'
Steph Starrett We were at grammar school. None of us were chavs, but boys will be boys...
TheFieldhockeygk11 that's the stupidest thing ever. A person's professional career has nothing to do with their name..
Shawna Minnie It shouldn't I agree with that, but unfortunately jobs do look at your name as much as they look at your appearance.
TheFieldhockeygk11 I agree. It does make a difference unfortunately. Especially when you’re in the world of work. It shouldn’t, but it does. My daughter is called Robyn and I thought it was a bit unusual but she could be also be a CEO should she want to! Lol.
Mattie Myles I agree. If you have a name like blue or apple, you will have a hard time because people will not take you seriously.
TheFieldhockeygk11 that's is true but some names in other cultures may sound weird to one person and not another.
I'm going to guess that your baby's name is Wren or Dylan xx
Aaliyah Thomas you were half there!
I suspect they’ll end up naming their baby something like Parker or Harper with a more traditionally feminine middle name
Molly McLaughlin Parker is a definite possibility, good thinking!
Molly McLaughlin it might be James❤🔷😂
Yvaine from the film Stardust is pretty. It means evening star which would tie in with your star theme.
My nickname for my boyfriend is Blue. Can't wait for BabyDeForce.
OMG! I am from India and you guys loving the name India makes me so happy! ☺️
Also, you guys are the cutest. This kiddo is gonna be one of the most pampered and cutest baby ever. Good luck to you guys. ♥️
not being funny but how can he love william. but not like thomas and harry cos they’re too boring and common. they’re literally in the same league
My second cousins name is Tuesday 😂😂😂😂
If my dad had had his way and if I had been born on a Tuesday I would have been named that 😂 luckily my mum quickly put a stop to it and I was born on a Thursday!
Who else immediately thought of Gilmore Girls when they mentioned Logan and Finn back to back? 😂
Kristen M .... and Jackson (Sookie's husband) 😉
Mike, I had to interrupt this video to tell you to go watch Keeping Up Appearances and see if you still like the name Tarquin for a boy after that. LOL Ok back to the video.
Carrie-Lee Hurzeler Haha, could be worse, could be Onslow! :P
My children are called Liam , olivia and harry x x 😂 aww my poor baby's
your hair looks beautiful!
Lyra is so gorgeous, so is Scarlett :) I also like Fox as a middle name, and Blue as a girl's name (but my favourite colour name is Burgundy for a girl). I'd also never thought of it but September's quite beautiful. Great tag, thanks!
Hi!,
Javier is spanish and Xavier is from Catalonia in Spain...
We call Lola to women whose name is Dolores. If we translate Dolores to english it means: “pains”
I like Alba and Alma. Alma means: soul, and Alba means: the light before the sunrise. 💋
