I'm going There this week! Last time I went I stayed at the Hershey Lodge. I plan on wearing a whole outfit in The stuff I got from Hershey. I'm super excited to ride CandyMonium!
The former Hershey Museum is also referred to as the Ice Palace, and was actually the first home to the Hershey Bears before they moved into the Hersheypark Arena in 1936. Unknown to many, every building the Bears have ever called home is still standing and used to some capacity.
I've been to this park 10 times since I was 9 years old. This is without a doubt my favorite park that I've ever been to, and I have so many incredible memories with my family that we've made at Hershey. We went again last summer and it was definitely a much needed break from the lockdowns. Racing my family on Lightning Racer is consistently the most fun experience I've ever had on a roller coaster.
Man I miss Hershey Park, used to go years ago for my father's company picnic, then they stopped doing it, then I went my Junior and Senior year of High School for choir Competitions and got to go around the parks. Haven't been there since, would love to go back!
@ 6:40. The Giant Wheel was removed to be replaced by Turbulence prototype coaster. Starship America and Balloon Flight were instead put in Turbulence's place after it's cancellation, Both flat rides having being pulled from storage after prior park removal to make way for new music box theater and Stormrunner.
Very weird feeling watching a random video that pops up in suggestions and seeing yourself in it. Was a great day for sure, definitely worth the potential thunderstorms to get such short lines
Legend, I hope you enjoyed your glass of water after recording the voice over. :) Another great video that I watched while eating my King Size pack of Reese's. Thanks to you and Molly!
Mr. Legend, Thank you soooo much for the walk through of Hershey Park, I am truly siked about making this my trip for this year, All I can say is WOW!!! I am soooo ready to Go!
I love Hersheypark haven’t been since the early 90s believe I went the year sidewinder opened. Can’t wait to go back maybe next year hopefully. Would love to see you do a video at Kennywood one day. ❤️👍
This is one of my bucket list parks. Thanks for the video. I have to say though that area around Candymonium is A LOT of hard-scape. They should have split the midway with some tree planters. On a hot day that would be the last area I’d want to be in.
We we"re there late july of '18 when it rained so hard the park seemed to be transformed into a stream, 2 hours from closing time, however the management was generous enough to give us park vouchers valid for 3mos, awesome!
I remember when I was in elementary school and a trip to the Hershey park was $120, I was pissed because I really wanted to go there and then after everyone came from the trip, the teacher started showing me pictures of how she and the entire class had fun there and I almost cried🤣🤣🤣.
You mentioned the Balloons and Rockets having been planned to be removed for Turbulance. However, it was the Giant Wheel in that spot that was removed for Turbulance. The Balloons and Starship America had been previously removed and had been in storage. When Turbulance fell through, they pulled them from storage to occupy the spot. Starship America was previously located behind the then smaller Music Box Theature, it was removed after the 2002 season when the Theature was expanded. Balloon Flite had been in a few other spots, most recently it was in Pioneer Frontier and removed for Storm Runner.
I loved the Giant Wheel. It was the perfect first ride near the entrance, you got to up and get a layout of what's in the park before heading out. Much better than the Ferris Wheel which is all the way in the back of the park.
I am so happy! I’m going this week on august 22 Saturday. This will be my first EVER time IM SO SCARED HAPPY!! I CANT WAIT TO GET ON THE RIDES AND WATER RIDES AHHHH
I am going on the 22nd! I am so excited because I am a twizzler now and I am going to try and ride SkyRush and Candymonium and some more intense coasters!
Awesome vid, you hit everything! My home park is GA too but just got back from a few days at Hershey. I know this is splitting hairs but Candymonium’s wait in the two stair wells is a little closterphobic on a hot summer day. Great ride though 👍
Was just here, and the funniest part was the space markers in the lines, but they had each section open. Like people would stay 6 ft apart from the people directly infront of them, but then there were people 2 inches away on either side of them.
So I've grown up going to cedar point as my go to rollercoaster adrenaline, but I'm looking to expand my horizons and get credits in other parks. I love your video, very detailed and got me very interested! However I live 5 hours away, and seeing that Storm Runner and Sooper Dooper Looper are closed for the 2020 season. Is it worth it to go this year, or should I just wait until next year, and get all credits in one visit?
@@IntheLoopPodcast Lebanon Valley College uses the Old Barn as their home ice. There is also high school ice hockey, a lot of figure skating, and the Hershey Bears practice there when GIANT Center is booked.
Thanks for this video! I’ve never been to Hershey and I really want to go. Was the boardwalk open at all? I know you mentioned a ride being shut down but did you notice other slides operating?
Awesome video! We are heading to Hershey this weekend! We don’t plan on going to the park but are doing the trolley tour and chocolate world! Anything else fun to check out ?
I have been to a couple parks this summer and a it seems that the log flume rides are not running. Maybe a distancing issue? Not sure, but don't count that one out yet.
This is a weird pet peeve of mine, but I wish that amusement park games gave out prizes other than just big stuffed animals. It's great to have games in a park, but I would add in some more grown-up prizes, like T-shirts, souvenir coffee and beer mugs, and maybe some Claire's Accessories-quality jewelry along with the stuffed animals.
For that "Preview Plan" where you get into the park free for the last few hours before the start day of your visit, do you still have to pay for Parking too or is that free as well with the Preview Plan?
I’m going on Sunday! I’m so excited. I’ve been to Hershey many times. But I never really cared abt it. I did lots of research, and I’m going with my cousin, who always pushes me to go on hard rides. So I am too excited this time. WISH ME LUCK 😆. Also pls pls pls answer this should I buy one of those game passes, and that wrist band, or is it unnecessary. Also what does the wristband do?
I can't judge the old entrance since they were building chocolatetown when I was there so between the construction and the temporary entrance it wasn't all that impressive. It does look like a lot of the stores and food places got new signs/small refurbs. I still think that my biggest problem with Hershey is that since there's a lot of small pathways then on a bust day it feels REALLY busy which isn't very fun.
Hersheypark is my second favorite park and it’s not far from me. I wish the water park was better because I love water parks and the crowd there is insane but I agree I’d love for them to take out tidal force and add a bunch of slides. I’d love for them to be a park like splashin Safari but they should add some body slides especially trap door ones
Hello I'm going to Hershey park in November with a friend and her 2 kids. I'm disabled and will not be going on the rides. I only going to accompany my friend. Do you know of any discounts that I can use? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Looks amazing~ great tour~ as always!! My partner Eric is from PA and would go here every year growing up. I can't wait until we go~ hoping for summer 2021!! We do want to do a PA amusement park crawl.........thinking Dorney Park > Hershey Park > Knoebels > Kennywood....!!!
Can anyone help me out here please..... I am visiting Pennsylvania, I got tickets for hersheypark but I am so confused about the ride tickets. Do I need to buy separate ride tickets or are they included in my ticket??
Totally missed the big swings.. not enough credit given to the classic rides. HP is not a Six Flags type of amusement park, that's what makes it special to those who grew up in Central PA. Sad to see Tudor Square and Rhineland go.
He's got beef with founder's circle for some reason. Also, there are like 5 coasters better than Skyrush in this park alone. Most being the classic ones.
Excellent, outstanding video of HersheyPark, very in-depth!! Keep up the amazing work!!
If you like roller coasters this is an outstanding park

I did that and it’s kinda scary
@@droogies.. It's such a thrill ride! I remember having bug eyes as me and my cousins screamed. :)
Is it worth it to stay at Hershey Lodge? We’re planning a trip now and aren’t sure if we should go that route or an AirBnb
Been to Hershey several times. Great park. Gotta go now and see the new entrance and other stuff. Thanks for the video. Be safe. 👍🏾✌🏾💯

I worked at the park as a costume character at music box theater and founders circle 1999 and 2000 I was the Rollo and Hershey Bar
How hot was that costume?
Ten to twenty degrees hotter then outside
Andrew Baranowski Oh wow! I was expecting you to say like a million degrees. That’s really cool!
U wore in the costume for a half hour to an hour
As always you did a wonderful job with this video . I really appreciate all the videos you do .They are so informative ! Thank you Legend and Molly

IT IS also u have to go to the gift shop it’s amazing
Hope you’re not watching this while you’re hungry 🤷♂️ that’s me lmao the bucket of fries with the pulled bbq pork sounds heavenly.
monkey bread is a cinnamon pull apart ring with a glaze on top. its absolutely delicious i highly recommend it

IM so excited!!! never been in Hershey Park
No maps!?!? Why!? I used to love looking at the cartoony park maps! Always held on to them as souvenirs and hung up in my room!
thank for the tour im going there
Kudos to Molly for being your cohort and food modeler for this video of Hershey Park!
I’m huge fan of Hershey park I haven’t been back there and I don’t know how many years some of the little kids right I did recognize when I went there

Looks like a pretty nice park. Great walk thru.

Great bear went right over us as we were on the sky ride. It was so cool.
The Historic Hersheypark Arena is used all the time. Very rarely sits empty.
I was unaware. What is it used for?

Great video!
I'm going there soon thx for making this
Troegs brewery is right down the street from the park you should go try it they have a great selection
I have been and quite enjoy Troegs.
Love the tour. And I think it's geese 👍💜
ah what about the antique merry-go-round? Spectacular !
Me and my family go every year I been going since I was 4 I love it
It is now 2023
Wildcat was RMC'd
Sidewinder is now Green & Pink
Tidal Force still runs
The new attractions and towns look much better and neater

The Hershey Story museum is well done
3D arcade was a haunted house back in the 70”s
Question: If you're a season passholder, can you bring in your own refillable water bottles into the park if you don't have the drink plan?
To fill up with water, yes

Sony FDR AX53
