We used to live near Knoebles, and I took my little girls there, 3 or 4 times a summer. What a fine place and so many many memories for my family. We are old now and we all now live in the Carolinas. Our four grown children remember so fondly.......Knoebels What a place!!!!
3 reasons to ride black diamond
1. It’s an fun ride
2. It’s enjoyable
3. And most importantly the air conditioning
It broke down last year when I was about to go through the rolling tunnel. It was scary hearing the car come down the hill behind us while we were completely stopped lol

This ride was the best Spaghetti bowl type roller coaster I’ve ever been on.. smooth.. definitely underrated

I HATE rollercoasters and this was the first one my friend dragged me to get on, I was so terrified I was shaking and it was horrible, but when I actually had the ride it made me feel better. I wasnt sick afterwards, no migraine that you speak of,
Fun fact, the spinning roof by the Old Mill was salvaged from another old carousel.

Great park. Love the large and classic ride selection. My favorite is Flying Turns. The food is amazing. They have the BEST kettle corn ever!! I love that it is free parking and free admission so people who don’t like to ride many rides can still go and enjoy shows, food, and get to spend the day with their family or friends without spending unnecessary money.
The haunted mansion actually has a story that you can read on a white sign posted in the ceiling of the queue canopy. If you search around online you can see it. The owner tried to get a cursed treasure, but it cursed his house, leading to all sorts of weird things, among which was a part of his house turning into a jungle.
This is the best video on the channel so far as I've seen. The Knoebels park has all of my favorite flat rides. I would never know if not for you two! I have to go to this park. Love this place. I had my 5th birthday party here. I used to go here all the time with my grandparents when I visited PA. The funnel cake is good.

I used to go camping at knoebels all the time at their campground next to the park.
I got a private tour of the Haunted Mansion with just me and my family. When I was younger, I was OBSESSED with the ride! That tour just made me more obsessed! That ride is so unique.
I was there that day. I was like "They're from In The Loop!" Awesome day
I can't believe I just saw the Fascination Game, the best game ever! They took it out of Conneaut Lake Park. I got to get over there!!
Legend- Black Diamond track and trains were indeed moved from the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. Search Golden Nugget on UA-cam to see the original incarnation.
That haunted house ride freaked me out as a kid
there is a great place to get a good view of Flying Turns inside where they take the photo's on the back by Stratosphere. also you can't forget their own campground which you could also bring your dog
The tea cup ride is a descendant of a larger version called Cuddle Up .They were popular at some parks in the eastern and midwestern US . I was familiar with the installation at Dorney Park near Allentown PA. It , I believe, had four discs and the cups were without saucers . It was a fun ride,but noisy ! Unfortunately all are gone .

I absolutely love Knoebels and it's an amazing place to work and the employees and including myself are very very friendly and a lot of people don't no is that the grand carousel used to run off of a steam engine and the ferris wheel is the biggest ferris wheel on the East Coast just the wheel itself is a 113 feet and that's just the wheel itself That's not including the base or the platform and it started out as a swimming hole back in the early 1900s and there's also a famous WWE wrestler name Mick Foley he goes there with his kids for an entire week

Knoebels reminds me a lot of my home park, Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire. Both are wacky, fun, small parks. Also have well known wooden rollercoasters and a euro fighter, similar flat rides.

Fun facts, Knoebels Flyers is powered by a rebuild Allis Chalmers industrial engine. This Flyer is the only one to run clockwise, and cars are reversed....which is why entry slot faces inside
I love Power Surge. The scrambler is a Merry Mixer. It is made by Garrbrick, A Italian Company that was bought by Zamperla in 1999.
I spent around 2 1/2 or 3 hours last Sunday, very wet, around 60 degrees. The Parking lot had a fair amount of cars, but it was so dead in there, most of the people riding had wristbands/stamps, and only 1-2 rows filled on average. Would've been an amazing day to have an all-day pass if i had more time there.
the Black diamond is more like a historical ride than a roller coaster. It shows you the background of Pennsylvania and it is an amazing ride to ride if you are a new local.
Great memories for me...Thanks! Next time that you are there, you should really try the other miniature train. It's a much longer, and more interesting ride.
Only been here once and it was in the early 90s I was like 12 but it was a fun place
Phoenix has been really smoothed out in the last few years and that has greatly benefited it. Twister has perhaps gotten a little too much work and is a little too smooth compared to what it used to be. Glad you mentioned the bumper cars, seems a bunch of reviewers miss them.
Ah my home park... The carousel organ association has rallies there some years. Last year's got cancelled and it was moved to this year. June 19-20 I think. I'm very excited for it

Knoebels is such a nice amusement park you can really cherish this park in every moment a downside tough is that you cant even see the park and its in the middle of nowhere also you can enter anywhere youd like and its not like six flags parks
Also you gotta give it to the food there, quality compared to other places

1985 pheonix...go there at least twice a year its always fun going there,,,you didnt show entertainment they have there at the bandshell and roller rink building , there is a ride there..oh the one cottage is wagon train..its also has a excellent campground, those perogies are last year 2017 new there, they have perogies a little dryer ones near the haunted house... remember this going to this park you will find something different every time you go there
You should read up on the history of these OLD PARKS IN PENNSYLVANIA. VERY INTERESTING
I love knoebels, fun fact, the doggies can ride on the boats, the train and the carousel....
And supposedly the swing ride was broken last year and had a part that needed to be preserved from Europe that took a year to get there

I bet you never read the backstory of the haunted mansion before riding it. There is a backstory posted in line. It says something about the house becoming haunted in the past and that it is now being overrun by a jungle because the old owner abandoned it.
Great Review, I like how this one was a lot more positive review than Ranger's. But that is why I prefer Legend Videos, for the most part they are very positive and see the good in each park.
I try not to be positive or negative, just give honest opinions (see Downdraft or Power Surge). But with Theme Parks & Roller Coasters being my favorite hobby reviews tend to be positive as its my favorite thing to do

I’m confused what special about row 3 on Phoenix I’ve been going to the park since 2008 and through out that time nothing was special about row 3 except that it put you closer to the front

They allow many animals in the park like cats and pot belly pigs as long as they dont cause trouble
The power surge might take upside down but it's not really hard on your back.
Oh there is the ride in the old roller skating rink you missed.

You missed the other train that takes you by the camping area

My favorite drink at knoebels is the pink lemonade you can get it at two locations
Flying Turns started in Coney Island in the 1900s.
The haunted mansion has an easy to miss sign in the queue explaining the convoluted plot
I rode the impulse and it was crazy I passed out it feels like ur heart drops out of ur chest

I have been here plenty of times and I was never weighed when I got on the Phoenix
You get weighed before Flying Turns, not Phoenix
I know the first year the flying turns opened we got on with a 3 hour wait, we got to the hill and got stuck on the ride for 3 more hours it was awful Lol power surge is my fav
This is one of the parks my partner and I want to visit. He's originally from PA, but has never been here! We want to do an amusement park crawl over about a week or two........We're thinking Dorney Park , Hershey Park, Knoebels and then Kennywood!! :-) We've got to do this soon~ maybe summer 2021!!
I enjoyed your video! But I feel like you need to go with someone who loves the park (like myself) there are many little things and interesting facts that make Knoebels what it is.

I went last month and holy shit was it crowded (Hershey was terrible as well). I only had a few hours so I just did the coasters, minus black diamond unfortunately. Would love to get back on a hopefully low crowd day and do everything else
I was lucky to be there when there was no lines, that park wouldn’t be fun when packed
@@IntheLoopPodcast it was still pretty fun, every line was out the entrance though, Phoenix was the shortest so I got 2 pulls on that. What an awesome ride and I agree front was better. Only 1 ride on the others. Oh well some day I'll get back! Litteraly didn't get a chance to do anything except walk from coaster to coaster and wait in line.
@@IntheLoopPodcast if it wasn't for Phoenix it wouldn't have been to great of a day haha. Impulse was fun too, didn't care to much for twister or flying turns, which both had the longest lines. Apparently PA parks in general arent a good pull early-mid August
Late summer tends to be the busiest time. Especially the weekends. Early summer weekdays are the best time to go to Knoebels.

Hell naah! The world most dangerous ride... i was in that ride and i felt unsafe in that ride they need seat belts on those big ride...come on now..safety first right?
