This looks like a complete park now. I think with the addition of Candymonium and Wildcat's Revenge it seems like a top tier park now. Hard to believe neither ride was there just a few years ago. I am looking forward to going to this park for the first time next year.
I used to work at hersheypark last summer as a security officer back when wildcat was still wildcat you guys did an amazing job filming this video of a park that is very special to me
Ahh! Happy you guys had a great time at my homepark. Wildcats revenge was amazing, it is such a great addition to Hershey. We got on it during the season passholder day frount row non the less! Amazing ride! Huge excitement knowing we now have an RMC! You guys should have went on Jolly Rancher Remix! It's actually being haild now one of the best boomerangs out there! They did alot of improvements with it like slowing down the coaster a bit so its alot less uncomfortable and the tunnel is pretty cool too.
The monorail going out of the park is a bit quirky, but there used to be an actual station at that orange building across the parking lot from the zoo. They shortened the track about 5 to 10 years ago so it goes through the middle of the parking lot, but prior to that the ride went through the abandoned station. Turns out it was built in the 60’s with one station downtown near the chocolate factory and one at Hersheypark Arena. It cost $0.25 to ride. Although it went through Hersheypark it was not a park ride, but a transportation system. When they closed the factory to tours in 1973 there was not as many people coming downtown, so the monorail became part of the park as a scenic ride, and the downtown station was not used except in rare occasions.

No tears were shed on the dark ride this time😂. Some world class coasters on offer, got to get out there one day!.....agree, Hersheys chocolate is sick flavoured! 😫
It’s crazy how Skyrush will clamp you down but still make you feel like your gonna fly out of your seat. It really makes you think that most restraints wouldn’t be secure enough, and if that was the trade off. You have to make a few of those fitting a hyper into a spot like that.

Hi shawn and Charlotte I really agree with seat belts as well as the restraints. After visiting Florida in May for the 1st time. I have to say when I went on Iron Gwazi at Busch gardens. I felt so unsafe on the ride with only a lap bar . Me and my family all Said you should have a extra seat belt. Even just to ease people's minds . I have to say wildcats dosent look as big and fast as iron Gwazi. Iron Gwazi was my 1st ever RMC and I'm 52 once was enough. I'm really glad I tried it out though. Great vlog loving the trip so far . My daddy took me here the year sooper dooper looper opened and it started my love for coasters. I visited the park two Saturdays ago. A lot of rides were not operating. Rode Wildcats Revenge and it honestly scared me more than any other coaster. I never let go of the rope lol. You have a new fan of your channel

As a HersheyPark coaster operator, and works at the Hershey lodge and chocolate world as a cashier or someone who checked ppl in when the park is closed, ik this is late but hope u had a sweet day here at hersheypark, and I agree, hersheypark bars aren’t thst good, but the best hersheypark chocolates r Kit Kat and reeses
The dark ride at the beginning looked unique and I like how it showed how the chocolate was being made. I’m also glad you guys experienced Wildcat’s Revenge. When I saw reviews online I knew you guys had come at just the right time to ride it and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Can’t wait for Kennywood tomorrow guys!

Along with capturing the awesome atmosphere of the opening day, we also experience many of the other major roller coasters at Hersheypark, including Candymonium, Skyrush, Great Bear, and many more. We also ride some of the family attractions on offer and experience Hershey's Chocolate World right next door to the theme park! So glad you got to see Hersheypark now that the entrance is complete. It was a mess when you were there in 2019. I am sure this USA road-trip feels different. No one cried on the Hershey Chocolate World ride and no one is telling corny jokes. Lol.
The new restraints on Skyrush make it ride completely different. You still get insane ejector airtime but you don't have the pain from the restraints anymore. Hopefully you'll get back to the states before long and get to give it another go.

I loved being there on opening day for Wildcats Revenge, minus the running from the chic fil a to be on one of the first few trains. I love that Hershey is my home park and that the coasters have really stood the rest of time. The only one I don’t care for is skyrush simply because of the restraint system.
The reason that your operations are slowed at Hersheypark is due to a chunk of their workers are middle and high school kids anybody from eighth graders who are 14 to seniors in high school 18-year-olds work at Hersheypark. That’s a majority of their summer workforce and that’s why you’ll notice longer lines in late July to August.
Charlotte it tastes like vomit for me as well 😅. Being Canadian I grew up on Cadbury's, Kinder, Laura Secord. Really enjoying the vlogs guys❤. Have a fantastic and safe journey.

Shawn and Charlotte, I flew there with my friend( he was a private pilot) in the seventies and landed at a small landing strip right by the entrance. This is absolutely not the same park as today. The Hershey factory wasn't as good and the park was much smaller. They really do need big crowds just to pay the maintenance costs:) Cheers, Day three, just where you wanted to be! Rik
Hersheypark had really bad operations on the two days I was there. Horribly slow moving lines and Wildcat's Revenge didn't open at all. Sooperdooperloooper was only running one train which we didn't realize until we had been in line for a long time and we ended up waiting over 2 hours for that thing. Great Bear had a shorter line but still took almost an hour because they were taking their sweet time.
Looks an amazing park to visit guys, definitely a 2 day one to get everything in. I love the look of some of those amazing coasters both. Thank you for a great video.
So glad you got to do most of the rides! And I’m even more glad you emphasized the lack of good operations, having been 8 times this spring and summer a good portion of lines CRAWL due to poor operations, lack of urgency, etc. Hersheypark could be that much more enjoyable if it wasn’t a hustle to try and do all the coasters in a day, a feat that should be doable if operations were better!

So glad you got to do most of the rides! And I’m even more glad you emphasized the lack of good operations, having been 8 times this spring and summer a good portion of lines CRAWL due to poor operations, lack of urgency, etc. Hersheypark could be that much more enjoyable if it wasn’t a hustle to try and do all the coasters in a day, a feat that should be doable if operations were better!
The operations could definitely do with some work here!
