I own a Invicta Pro Diver in two tone, and I simply love it. The Seiko movement is as accurate as expected and the looks are just gorgeous. I also like the Invicta logos all over the watches case, so it doesn´t have the stink of trying to be a Subi.... Went pool, went diving, still performing very well. To me, best value for money....
I think Invicta remains near unparalleled for quality fit and feel at this price, along with offering that solid movement. It doesn’t have the best finishing, nor the best specs, but overall case solidity, colour combos, bezel feel, and bracelet fit is the best (or equal best) of the bunch here.
I have the Loreo, Tevise and the Pagani. I'd say the Pagani is the best watch. Few things I would change to make it perfect: 120 click bezel, much better lume and 40mm size
I would say yeah, 120 click bezel would be an improvement for sure, and the fit does need to be better (it’s loose and has back play). The lume is indeed also rather poor, and the bracelet fit is less than optimal (as I demonstrated).
Perth WAtch I have 2 loreos and getting one more; cost me 70$, I’m in China. For the money the bracelet is solid, sapphire, screw crown, I have one that mimics Omega and it even hacks! Yes no Lume on bezel but has see thru case back and always starts right up with a shake. For 70$? It’s great
Great review! There are just so many Subby homages on the market in every price range, its just crazy. I have owned the Tevise , which I gifted someone , and the Invicta which is still in my collection.
I bought a Loreo to use while doing rough stuff. No problems after a year. Pips lume are ok, but useless in the hands. The bezel on mine is pretty stiff and hard to turn around, but not back play. The most surprising thing is the movement accuracy. Around +3.5s a day over the last six months.
This is a great comparison video. I like how you put the specs at the end of the video so I can compare all the watches. Keep up the good work. Just subscribed to your channel.
Great line up Ivan! ...Interesting to note that your Invicta 8927OB has a silver rotor which really looks quite nice, while mine has the more typical yellow. Just in case you don't put out another video before then, here's wishing you a very Happy New Year.
Thanks man, wishing you a great 2020 also! Interesting to hear about the rotor - my Grand Divers have the yellow rotor but the 40mm Pro Divers I have are plain coloured. Do you have that same model as mine?
@@PerthWAtch Yes Ivan, the very same two tone with the black dial and model number, but with that yellow rotor. It's a great watch. I may be a bit biased but Invicta rocks!
I own the Tevise, Loreo, and have had an Invicta in the past. I would say the Loreo in my mind. Although mine is slightly different than the ones reviewed. Better clasp as well as what appears to be an updated movement. Been wearing it for several months now and the water resistance has been holding up and it's been keeping outstanding time. Only thing is no lume pip and the 90 click bezel is annoying but plan on upgrading the bezel with a ceramic fully lumed bezel.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts - I think the Loreo build quality is very fair for the price and I am not surprise the WR will hold up with general activities. This model I have has what appears to be an ST16 movement - did yours have something different?
@@PerthWAtch Not certain exactly what the movement is but the rotor is different and has Geneva stripping all along the movement. Definitely far more decorated of a movement and the accuracy while I haven't hooked it up to a time grapher is certainly running very accurate as I've managed to keep it running for over a week continuesly and it seems to be staying well within a minute over the course of a week.
Honestly, and it surprises me to write these words, I think the Pagani gives the best value, despite the deficiencies. I have the Invicta as well, but I’d pick the Pagani over that one. I have no experience with Starking or Loren or that other one, but from everything I’ve seen about them I’m not missing much. Nice to see you do a big shootout again. These are fun to watch.
Thanks for that Randy - honestly I find it hard to pick an outright best of this bunch, but Pagani offers great value for sure. Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
I have two Pagani watches and both bracelets are not great. I've found three links useless due to the screw threads are so bad the screws won't even tighten and just fall out. On the other bracelet I can't even get my fingernail under the keeper to open it. Time to get replacement bands, I suppose. Happy holidays!
Thanks for the comments guys - yeah I have heard of these QC issues and inconsistencies from other viewers also. Disappointing for sure, but also not completely unexpected given the astounding asking price. Let's hope they improve further with time!
Thanks for the reviews! The Loreo is the best of the bunch IMO and the Pagani would have taken the lead if it was 40mm. Impressive specs for both at that price! Happy New Year!
Well I have at least 20 Invicta's. So I would purchase their watch because I trust their quality. I bought this watch twenty years ago for my father. It keeps better time than my 25 year old Rolex. I would say they both need service. The new movement for my Invicta is 50 dollars and another 39 dollars to put her in. The Rolex 1,200 dollars plus parts at Rolex. An amazing video and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this Eddie - I totally understand where you’re coming from... Invicta brand is far more established than any of these other newbies so they certainly have a whole lot more track record with us. Cheers!
Thnx for the reviews/ thoughts on these Homage watches !All have good value with equitable prices . I am thinking about purchasing a Pagani for it's great features at a very reasonable price !
Case of the Tevise watch isn't coated brass. I did put it in HCl to remove coating and it turned out to be galvanized foil. Yes, the whole case is made from very thin metal foil.
Foil? Do you mean aluminium? What's underneath though? It's a metal of some sort I expect as it certainly has some solidity and you can't just crush this case in your bare hands...
@@PerthWAtch I have shared some photos on the Google drive in link below. I would say that all structural strength of the Tevise watch case comes from the chrome or whatever it is costing on top of the thin tin foil shape. You could record and share similar effect of HCl treatment of Revise watch on your chanel. drive.google.com/folderview?id=1mNWGvXJmP6sOLUP83wu_ps39zJGYLBio
And in the photo movement the watch has now is quartz. But the case I destroyed with this process was from T801A model with mehanical automatic movement.
Just based on the vid, the chioces seem pretty clear. If you want a watch you can actually use as a diver and treat as such, go with the Invicta. If you want a watch with superior materials just for wrist candy, go with the Pagani.
@@PerthWAtch I thought of that, but with those going for about $40 today and a black face, stainless steel Pro Diver going for about $65 (Amazon prices), there just wasn't enough space between them for me to say they were at two distinct price points. That being said, they DO have a Pepsi "diver" at Walmart that I saw today. I think it was about $15 with a 50mm face. :D
Thanks for sharing that - glad to hear it works well for you, many have complained about lack of reliability and movement not truly being self-winding as the rotor is proportionally too light.
I have Pagani Design hulk version...love it...although one of the screws fell out twice due by my not tightening it down enough when sizing---didn't want to break the screw. I have two invictas...two tone and black...love both...that NH35 makes it all worrthwhile. I skipped the Tevise and Starking kinda annoyed me with some of their bait and switch advertising although I do have their dresswatch which I picked up for 50.00. Thanks for your sincere reviews and here's hoping you have a safe rest of 2019 to you and your family. Cheers mate!!
Thanks for sharing those thoughts - yeah I am afraid QC with Pagani isn't quite there yet, and many other viewers have described various issues they have had with their watches.
I have the pagani on hand as I type this. Its a massive value for money proposition, has couple of shortcomings. However, I discussed it with a professional watchmaker and we discovered that the NH35A in it is not authentic, it works great +/- 5 seconds a day but that is something to keep in mind.
@@teodorchilov1363 Ok thanks for the details....well as long as it keeps working I don't mind it. Does not really surprise me as it wouldn't really be possible to get a genuine NH35 and a sapphire chrystal and a ceramic bezel insert and 316L steel case and bracelet..all for $65-75.
@@RJ-cq8dd yeah it still is a hell of a watch I handed it to a buddy who has multiple brietlings, cartier and rado watches. I told him to guesstimate the price of the piece, his guess was 500 600 bucks :)
Very well done comparison. Articulate. Good camera work. Useful information for those wanting a budget “ dive” type watch. We all know that less than 1% will ever be in water deeper than 6 feet😎.
Nice comparison! The only real two contender are the loreo and Pagani design Loreo if you want the aluminium Rolex feel Pagani if you want the new ceramic Rolex feel
Perth WAtch Invicta vs Loreo Invicta has NH35 but mineral crystal Loreo has sapphire crystal but st16 I am leaning towards loreo because it doesn't have the big ass invicta wording at the side haha
Nice review. The only one I own is the Invicta. I think it’s great for the price. An excellent first automatic watch. The Pagini is the only one to have the maxi-style case. All the others have an ore-maxi style case. The Pagini also has brushed top links while all the others have polished center links. It’s actually closest to the current Rolex Sub. Personally, I have moved on from these types of watches. However, If I was in the market for 1 of these I probably would still go for the Invicta, beacause it’s the only one to have The Seiko movment and 200m wr. Enjoy the rest of the holidays.
Thanks for that - fair calls there and I am inclined to agree with most of your sentiments. I haven’t looked closely at the current Sub models but sounds like you’re right about the Pagani being closest to the “super case” design, although of course Rolex makes it in 40mm. And yep, Invicta is indeed the only one here with Seiko and 200m!
Very nice comparison of 5 popular watches @ an affordable price point. I'm leaning toward the Pagani Design 1639 (too bad about the 90 click bezel action) but all in all the best bargain IMO. Subscribed and liked. Keep up the good work!
I wish some of these cheaper brands would start making an homage of a generic, 1960s diver in 40 mm. Using Cimier divers as a model. Only expensive ones exist , like Oris 65, or Yema Superman.
That is an excellent suggestion! I haven't look closely, but didn't realize that there are no such homages among these brands...? It should be a good market to try to capture!
Try HIMQ/Proxima/San Martin/Hruodland/Heimdallr or Steeldive or Debert I remember San Martin do have offerings similar to Cimier in Bronze and Steel with different movement options
Good suggestions. Thanks. However.... The 62MAS homages are close, but the insert is too Seiko. The. Debert is close, but the insert is too Omega. And no insert mods are.possible
Are you sure the case thickness is the same for the Loreo and the Invicta ? I have both and the Invicta is way thicker. Also, it would like to add that in Europe is not easy to find the Invicta for that price.
Not exactly the same but it is within about 0.2mm, Invicta very slightly thicker in this case. You may have a different Invicta model if it’s “way thicker”.
@@PerthWAtch I think its a normal 8926OB as all i've seen. The backside of the Invicta is quite chunkier. The thickness from the top of cristal to the lugs end its about the same in both watches, but the back cover of the movement in the Invicta is quite tall. So tall that it looks a little bit weird on my wrist when using nato straps that raise the watch even more.
Perth WAtch I wonder if the bracelet will loosen up and fit better over time....also alot of the times this chinese watches come with debris caked up in the bracelets...two seperate watches i scubbed the bracelets with a toothbrush and ran it threw the ultrasonic cleaner and the water got pretty dark
Hi Ivan , hope you had a great Christmas . I have the invicta , Pagani design and the Loreo I think the Pagani design is by far best value for money but the invicta and Loreo are more to spec of a submariner and the bezel are better on them as you pointed out , my invicta gets the most wrist time lately , cheers great review as always and all the best for 2020 mate ....
Thanks for that Trevor... yeah the more I think about it, it seems like the Pagani has gone through and ticked all the boxes but overall execution in fit and quality still falls behind some of the others here, including the Invicta. Wishing you a great 2020! :)
Hello Perth Watch, as always great review; one quick question though, if you still have the invicta and the Loreo, could you please tell me if the bracelets are swappable, please.
In my opinion I think the invicta is the best practical choice and the looms seemed the best too. I've also seen one tested in a pressure chamber and it was still working at a much higher pressure than the rated depth. I'm not particular about the bracelet since I'd change that out for a different strap. I wish it had the better quality sapphire for the glass and the ceramic bezel insert. But you gotta choose where you prefer they spent the money into it when making the watch at that price point. Practical, meaning it does pretty well at what that watch type was designed to do. So out of those 5 watches I'd pick the invicta. Great video. 😎👍
Not a subby fan and bought 2 Tevise 801s for the hell of it but if I was to buy one of these it would be the Pagani .Along with Parnis my favourite Chinese homage brand .Very consistent and prefer a larger watch .
@@PerthWAtch Given that the Vostok Amphibia was more than twice the price (75 USD compared to the 22 Euro for the Tevise), the bar seems perfectly adequate. :)
@@PerthWAtch I think you drew a bit too much of a negative picture for the Tevise. Yes it is the worst out of these watches, and you mention that that's to be expected at the price. But you never say that for it's price, it's amazing. An automatic for $20 is insane
I own the Pagani Hulk. I still cannot believe the quality of the materials and the workmanship involved. You shouldn't be able to obtain a watch like this for the money. I love the fact that it also doesn't look like it's trying to copy a Rolex. Pagani is a sought after brand in its own right and I love wearing it 😁
One Request for 2020 IVAN- Can you do a review I see many Nautilus Homages on AliExpress (Bagelsport, Peter Lee, LGXIGE) and I wonder what your opinion is on these?? Would be an awesome video as there currently is nothing on UA-cam comparing!!
The best Nautilus Homage is probably Agelocer but it is pricey. You might want to consider Rocos, Didun or Parnis as they are better quality in my exp than Steelbagelsport
I've started hating the look of the sub! Every man and his dog seems to have one and even the Rolex sub doesn't even peak my interest in the slightest! Anyway that's my personal view! Also I just bought a San Martin 0064 divers with a PT 5000 hi beat mov brushed ss case Sapphire crystal 200m if you want I can drop it off so you can review it! I'm just in Vic Park mate.
I got the Invicta Pro Diver, well the one I lost was a Japanese made one and I got the new one I have is Assembled in Malaysia now but a very good watch a more bang for your buck watch.
@@PerthWAtch It is more polished I would say it is very refined not so much of a difference. Other than that they use the same movement their is at one time a same Invcta Pro Diver version with an ETA movement.
great video. i own about 15 invictas for a few yrs. pro and grand divers and other types. i just got introduced to the pagani homage and let me tell ya i am impressed that i got the hulk the black, and the two tone in blue and green and i am more impressed every day. the quality of the crystal is where it starts from shear appearance and bling. the ceramic bezel is excellent and your right the finish is amazing at that price point. the pagani would be my choice hands down. i prefer a larger and heavier watch also. keeps great time and lots of compliments.
I like my Pagani "Hulk" for 65USD and so many features it was a no brainer for me. My one has a diver extension (not alot though) Only issue is the lume is not good at all...but some way more expensive watches of mine are equally bad- so for the price it's a nice watch.
The Pagani is a “spec monster” for sure, but somehow I feel like they’ve gone through and put ticks in boxes (sapphire, ceramic, screw links, solid ends, etc) but the overall execution in fit and quality falls behind when compared with some others here.
Another owner here. To be honest, being warned about the Pagani lume by JOMW, I was pretty happy that the lume actually lasted through the night here. Barely, but it did. Besides that its a spec loaded watch, love it.
I did set it up to match with my Bulova Lunar Pilot. (Dont have an app or machine to measure accuracy) after a week it was about a minute behind the Bulova. At the same time I did it with my Parnis GMT (I believe it's a Seagul movement) after a week the parnis was closer to 4 minutes behind the Bulova. @Perth watch - I agree that it seemed Pagani Design just ticked off boxes. for me as a newbie to automatic watches...I wanted to get the most features for my $ - and I most def got that. But I will check out other brands as well to see the differences for my self. For now its Pagani over Parnis
@RobWerts- I only saw the review from JOMW after I ordered the Pagani and got scared... I do agree the lume is not great (compared to Seiko or Citizen its horrible) but it is on par with a 250€ Swiss Made Wenger "Black Night". Only difference - for 65$ it's more acceptable.
Outstanding video! I have five Invicta Pro Divers in my collection in various colors. For the price, I feel there is no comparison. I am intrigued by the Pagani though. Thanks for the insightful comparisons. New subscriber here.
My Pagani design arrived today and I’m absolutely delighted with the beauty and quality of this watch, I feel like a caveman who’s just been given a cigarette lighter🤩
Finally, someone made a comparison between the Submariners in the low segment. You are only missing the MG Orkina, Bliger & Carnival (Whose bezel action is said to be better than the Invicta)
@@PerthWAtch Not at all actually First-off, the Bliger gives you a choice between two movements- A hacking Guangzhou Mingzhu 2813 Automatic movement or a non-hacking MIYOTA 8215 Automatic movement Secondly, it comes with Sapphire glass. Thirdly, according to the blurb 'ceramic' bezel Forthly, there is an option of a lumed bezel. Fifthly, the strap definitely looks better Sixthly, '316L Steel' And Lastly, it is priced closer to the Loreo
I've experienced them all owned them all.the pagani takes it hands down no competition.and you didn't even mention the divers extension on the pagani.smh
Thanks for sharing your opinion - yours differs from mine, I can live with that. Like I said, there is no clear hands down winner here. Maybe you missed where I said none of these have a dive extension, so let me say it in unequivocal terms again - the Pagani *does not* have a dive extension, none of these do. It does a 4mm comfort extension, that’s not the same thing. You may have also missed where I stated that the bezel fit and feel is poor, almost as bad as the Tevise, and that the bracelet fit is worse than others also. Far from taking it “hands down” mate.
@@PerthWAtch I must be mostly lucky with my pagani diver , the bezel on mine seems okay as compared to some reviews , as I've said before the issue I have is quite sharp edges on the clasp , other than that it's a belter for the money. I also have the Tevise and Invicta. The Tevise is great fun and a great kick about watch for working. The Lorri looks nice but is a little small for me. I would include the Phoibos 002 quartz diver on this list , to my mind it has the best case , bracelet and sapphire crystal of the cheaper divers I own.
@@PerthWAtch 4mm extension divers extension.same thing.the bezel action in my pagani is like butter bro.lines up perfect unlike some of the others.still takes it hands down if you ask my opinion.
@Cw Sayre yeah yeah whatever.still a nice extension.and no other watch in the video has one.Ivan didn't even show the paganis"bracelet"extension.seemed a little biased to me.just saying.
I got the Pagani. I think it is the best. 200 m is not that important because I will never dive that deep. Bracelet will be swapped out regularly. So 90 click is the only compromise IMO.
I bought a Tevise but it was in pretty crook shape by time it got here and it had to be returned, these things happen... I have two submariner homages, one a £13 Military Royale which was on a leather bund strap, black dial and olive bezel insert and looks etc it was very close to the Tevise but a little taller. I also have a Sekonda gold plated quartz homage but lacking the cyclops, the Royale is spot on, surprisingly rugged and has a massive power reserve as I wore day before yesterday and its in front of me still ticking away. I do want to try the Tevise submariner-esque chrono prob in gold and black but I am so backlogged with project watches, daily arrivals etc its prob likely in the not so distant future. Some of these projects are just waiting for a part like my Seiko 7009-3040 needing a new movement ring then I can button it up and put it on the ever growing displays. Right now in front of me I have 6 Slava's and 2 Poljot's which are going for a nice naptha bath :)
Haha very nice! You mention project watches and daily arrivals... do you run a business in this or is it just a hobby for you? Or some combination of this?
Just bought a Pagani Hulk, all of the negatives are things that won't affect me and that saphire crystal, Seiko movement and finish sells this watch! Can't wait until I get to put it on.... If 4 months. Chinese shipping times ಥ‿ಥ
FYI I own a Tevise Submariner homage, I paid AUD$38 and it has +20sec/day accuracy. I am wearing every day. If I lose it it won't be a big loss. i've tried to find a decent ceramic bezel for the Loreo that actually fits, without success. Has anyone managed to find one and if so can I have the link, please?
The only pressed metal watch is the Tevise. Next time show the audience the difference with a real 316L steel watch. You can easily see the difference if you look at the mirror reflection from the sides of the watches. The pressed metal looks uneven and reflects the light very wobbly. A 316L steel is like a straight mirror.
With regards to "pressed metal" I was referring to the clasp construction. Tevise is a coated base metal or some sort (some have said it's brass, but I cannot confirm). You're right, the surface is uneven and doesn't reflect well... this has been show-cased in my full review.
I think the base metal is just pressed into a mold. They most of the time are not solid and that's why the case is lighter then 316L full metal cases. I noticed the difference years ago. I never found any watch review showing the difference in mirroring. When holding them and manipulating them in a shiny environment you notice the difference right away.
I would like to know how a case is made. First a good solid 316L steel one and then a base metal one. Why is the mirroring different? Is it made in a mold? PVD coating is great, it covers everything. You could make a case of plastic and put some weight in it to have an illusion of the real thing. I don't know and nobody has ever revealed any of this. On Alibaba you can buy watches for under 1 dollar. How is that even possible? Interesting to have a look at that one too..
"Only" 100 meters for water resistance? For SCUBA diving purposes, all equipment should be rated to twice the working pressure. That means if your deepest dive (recreational) is "only" 30 meters, the point where sunlight totally disappears, a watch rated to 60 meters will be more than up to the task of providing water resistance. Dollar to features, the PD-1639 is the winner and will serve you well. If only they made the bezel a 60 or 120 click affair. Even then, it does the job quite well. Thanks for taking the time. This was very helpful.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts - the additional problems with the Pagani as I explained include the poor fit & feel, including the bezel and bracelet. I didn’t point this out but there are also obvious imperfections in the bezel insert. Where did you get those ideas for the water ratings? FYI ISO absolute minimum for diver rating is 100m, and many manufacturers recommend not using a 50m rated watch for swimming let alone diving. Charts usually indicate that for extreme water sports (eg. Water skiing) that a 200m is recommended.
It’s the loreo for me.....looks most like the subby, has sapphire, solid end links and clearly the best lume! The finish is also very good for the price, I picked one up on 11/11 sale for £45.....
I had a very bad problem, my loreo stopped working only after one week, I sent the watch back to the vendor wyq store in AliExpress and nothing happened, I lost my money and the cost to send it back , if you of someone that can help I would be very grateful
I contacted the AliExpress services but no help was given, the store only said that the item was sent to them but they didn’t receive it , if anyone has a direct email to the store I’m going to reach them
To my surprise I would choose the Pagani. Good to see them all together. The Starking is a little disappointing. The Tevise, I would not recommend to anyone. I have had it and sold it real quickly, a very, very bad timekeeper. Thanks Ivan!
Thanks Joop! I think the Pagani is the strongest “on paper” for sure but TBH it does fall behind in execution with regards to fit and quality when compared with some others here. Tevise is no magic, but over the 18 mins I filmed this section of the video it seemed to keep time ok :D
I do own Tevise watches as well, but you have to adjust them once in a while,.... and scrap them at the end. I do own Paganis, too, but I´d never take them to the sea or pool, they just can´t stand the water pressure at the least. But they are looking very fine when not taken to the waters....
Pagani used to only make 30m rated watches (basically ok for rain and washing hands, but no more), but they’ve stepped up theirs game as this watch has a screw crown with seal, and is rated at 100m.
Going to give the nod to the Invicta. I have 3 Invicta now, (no ridiculous Marvel ones or gaudy ones) just pro divers and they have served me well, but that Starking looks great 👍🏼!
I have the Loreo and a few pro divers and the Loreo is much better as far as the build quality is concerned. I'm actually wearing my Loreo right now and it just feels so much better. The nh35 in the invicta is definitely a better movement and is more accurate for me.
@@PerthWAtch MG Ork has nice ceramic bezel, SEL's on bracelet, but simple push button clasp and no screw down crown...but it does have 2 rubber gaskets on crown tube for ID and OD.
I have the Invicta and the Pagani. Honestly, I like the Invicta better. The misaligned chapter ring, and shambolic bezel, are a massive disappointment on the Pagani
@@syndicatedsatellite7288 I hate the sub! Both Rolex and all the millions of crappy copys! Most over rated watch on Earth! Im only watching because I enjoy Ivan's videoes
I really like the comparison, but what i see is that for 45bucks it's much better to go on DHGATE and buy a replica Rolex and add a cheap nh35a movement, or just ask for a custom made for 80bucks, without the Rolex logo and you'll get almost the same feel as the real one
as a result of your excellent reviews, i added an all blue loreo sub homage to the collection, and was very favorably impressed--40mm with perhaps a seagull or its clone. this watch tends to purple blue, which is fine for me--big fan of purple. even at 200 meters and screw in crown, i wouldn't subject to much submersion, as with any clone of the submariner--too old to swim anyway. my old rolex datejust from the early seventies survived salt water with a bad crown gasket, but i was lucky...
Hi TheSpitz0, i own the aquaracer pagani in blue. So far i am very impressed with it, you will not be disapointed with it so go ahead and pull the trigger if you can. Keep in mind that its a 44 so if you have writs size less than 7 inch it could look a little big, but that's just an opinion.
I have the Invicta quartz two watch. It cost me $49.00. It is my cheapest watch. I am please with it. I wanted a quartz watch . It seems accurate. I always like the two tone blue Rolex, so I bought the clone. My other watches are vintage Omega manual and automatic
I have an invicta coin edge auto a Bliger white sub and a blue Parnis. The Invicta wears most comfortably and is keeping accurate time with an hours lume so it's probably my best.
For 70$? It’s great
@@jperryhal Pagani now do a 40mm
@@jperryhal literally just type into UA-cam "Pagani design 40mm"
Great review! There are just so many Subby homages on the market in every price range, its just crazy. I have owned the Tevise , which I gifted someone , and the Invicta which is still in my collection.
Thanks for the comment Jay - indeed, many many of these homages!!
I think I’d go for the Invicta 2-tone but with a blue dial. Nice comparison video!
Thanks for that - glad you enjoyed the video :)
That's awesome man, thanks for sharing that - glad to hear to you've got a good example of the Loreo! :)
This is a great comparison video. I like how you put the specs at the end of the video so I can compare all the watches. Keep up the good work. Just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks man, glad you found this helpful. Really appreciate the support! :)
Sir, you actually set the seconds hands of all watches to the same position.
Love it.
Yeah, chalk that up to my OCD ;)
Curious to know they have variations on the rotor - might increase the value of the less common variety! :)
Great job and nice video. I have the Invicta. My next choice would be the Pagani Design. Thanks!!
Thanks - most welcome :)
Cool - thanks for sharing your experience, always love hearing from others!
Nice to see that all the Watches display exactly the same Time. This proofs quiet some Love to Detail.
Haha yeah, chalk that up to my OCD :)
Jojo Cruz Hi, exact same thing happened to me with their Daytona homage. Still waiting for the replacement bracelet.
Thanks for the comments guys - yeah I have heard of these QC issues and inconsistencies from other viewers also. Disappointing for sure, but also not completely unexpected given the astounding asking price. Let's hope they improve further with time!
Jojo Cruz pinoy?
this is excellent video Ivan....Parnis should have been there aswell..but the Starking is my fave out of that bunch..
Thanks Reeze... a few others have mentioned Parnis also. Which model Parnis do you mean?
Perth WAtch their Submarine 01-03 models....
Thanks for the reviews! The Loreo is the best of the bunch IMO and the Pagani would have taken the lead if it was 40mm. Impressive specs for both at that price! Happy New Year!
Thanks for the thoughts! Wishing you a fantastic 2020! :)
Cheers!
I love my pro diver.
It's very solid.4.the price.
My Seiko recraft is my favorite but the Invicta still rocks!
Thanks for that, I am inclined to agree - Invicta rocks! :)
Dear IVAN- Happy New Year 2020 we appreciate all your great reviews Brother- from Vancouver Canada!!!
Thanks for that! Wishing you a fantastic 2020 ahead also! :)
Love my Invictas, although, I may acquire a Pagani at some point. I love that green two tone band.
Thanks for the thought!
Thnx for the reviews/ thoughts on these Homage watches !All have good value with equitable prices . I am thinking about purchasing a Pagani for it's great features at a very reasonable price !
That is a nice choice… they’ve improved on their QC since I did that video
@@PerthWAtch thnx for sharing this with me ! Will check it out !!
Best comparison of this type yet,in my opinion. Still don't know which one to go for
Thanks for that - yeah I can understand that, seeing as there is no clear absolute winner IMO. Cheers!
Go for the Pagani. You won't be disappointed 😁
Great video! Which one do you recommend Invicta or Loreo or Pagani?
Thanks - please watch my Pagani vs Loreo video!
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!!
Just based on the vid, the chioces seem pretty clear.
If you want a watch you can actually use as a diver and treat as such, go with the Invicta.
If you want a watch with superior materials just for wrist candy, go with the Pagani.
That's a reasonable and fair summary I think. I would add:
If you a dirt cheap homage with skin deep good looks, go with the Tevise ;)
@@PerthWAtch I thought of that, but with those going for about $40 today and a black face, stainless steel Pro Diver going for about $65 (Amazon prices), there just wasn't enough space between them for me to say they were at two distinct price points.
That being said, they DO have a Pepsi "diver" at Walmart that I saw today. I think it was about $15 with a 50mm face. :D
I have a black tevise which I mainly wear at work, it gets a massive amount of abuse but keeps on going, Lume is pants though.
Same experience with the Pagani... Screws just fall out.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts - yeah I am afraid QC with Pagani isn't quite there yet, and many other viewers have described various issues they have had with their watches.
Wow, thank you for sharing that because I thought it was me not tightening the screws tight enough when my pagani daytona fell off my wrist.
I have the pagani on hand as I type this. Its a massive value for money proposition, has couple of shortcomings. However, I discussed it with a professional watchmaker and we discovered that the NH35A in it is not authentic, it works great +/- 5 seconds a day but that is something to keep in mind.
What gave it away? Funny if true as my Pagani design movement is way more accurate than my other watches with automatic Seiko movements.

Nice comparison!
The only real two contender are the loreo and Pagani design
Loreo if you want the aluminium Rolex feel
Pagani if you want the new ceramic Rolex feel
Thanks for that - actually I think the Invicta and Loreo are pretty close. Might have to do more head to heads! :)
Perth WAtch
Invicta vs Loreo
Invicta has NH35 but mineral crystal
Loreo has sapphire crystal but st16
I am leaning towards loreo because it doesn't have the big ass invicta wording at the side haha
Haha yeah, the big ass INVICTA emblazoned proudly on the side of the case... gotta love it! :D
Perth WAtch some love it but most ppl shun it. I mean invicta could go bolder but that wording is hilariously obvious lol
Thanks for that man - glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Try HIMQ/Proxima/San Martin/Hruodland/Heimdallr or Steeldive or Debert
I remember San Martin do have offerings similar to Cimier in Bronze and Steel with different movement options
Found one from Carnival
www.aliexpress.com/item/4000542742004.html
Good suggestions. Thanks. However....
The 62MAS homages are close, but the insert is too Seiko. The. Debert is close, but the insert is too Omega. And no insert mods are.possible
San Martin 62mas is great :-)
Thanks for the comparisons, would you do one on the chronographs of these brands in the future?
Tevise have a chronograph!?

Cant quite put my finger on it but the pagani looks like the nicest watch of the bunch....prolly due to sapphire and ceramic and nice green colors
I think green suits the design quite well and certainly seems to be the in fashion thing these days :)
Hi there, sorry man I sold the Loreo early last year.
@@PerthWAtch thanks for the quick response and I guess I'll just have to take a chance. Ok the other hand keep up the great content.
Thanks for the thoughts - Invicta ain’t bad at all, but since this video Pagani has continued to improve and are now the leader at the $100 mark
Not a subby fan and bought 2 Tevise 801s for the hell of it but if I was to buy one of these it would be the Pagani .Along with Parnis my favourite Chinese homage brand .Very consistent and prefer a larger watch .

Awesome video! I have the Tevise watch and actually am happy with the accuracy which falls into the category of "better than Vostok".
Haha thanks for that... a low bar to jump I’d say! ;)
@@PerthWAtch Given that the Vostok Amphibia was more than twice the price (75 USD compared to the 22 Euro for the Tevise), the bar seems perfectly adequate. :)
Very true!
@@PerthWAtch I think you drew a bit too much of a negative picture for the Tevise. Yes it is the worst out of these watches, and you mention that that's to be expected at the price. But you never say that for it's price, it's amazing. An automatic for $20 is insane
Actually I said that in the original review (and titled it as such)... I didn’t feel like repeating myself ;)
I own the Pagani Hulk. I still cannot believe the quality of the materials and the workmanship involved. You shouldn't be able to obtain a watch like this for the money. great video. i own about 15 invictas for a few yrs. pro and grand divers and other types. i just got introduced to the pagani homage and let me tell ya i am impressed that i got the hulk the black, and the two tone in blue and green and i am more impressed every day. the quality of the crystal is where it starts from shear appearance and bling. the ceramic bezel is excellent and your right the finish is amazing at that price point. the pagani would be my choice hands down. i prefer a larger and heavier watch also. keeps great time and lots of compliments.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts Michael - really glad to hear you got yourself a few of those and are really enjoying them! :)
Loreo's the all-round top in my books. Perhaps the Pagani is one's comfortable with a larger size (alas, I'm not in that camp)

Is that wing zero one on the shelf ?
There’s an MG Wing Gundam on there if that’s what you mean... well spotted ;)
I own 2 invictas and 1 Pagani. Love them
Nice one!
I like my Pagani "Hulk" for 65USD and so many features it was a no brainer for me.
My one has a diver extension (not alot though)
Only issue is the lume is not good at all...but some way more expensive watches of mine are equally bad- so for the price it's a nice watch.
The Pagani is a “spec monster” for sure, but somehow I feel like they’ve gone through and put ticks in boxes (sapphire, ceramic, screw links, solid ends, etc) but the overall execution in fit and quality falls behind when compared with some others here.
Pretty happy with mine too. What accuracy are you getting?
Pagani now supersedes Invicta
@@PerthWAtch Do you feel like the Seagull movement is as good as the Seiko TMI found in many Invictas?

Finally, someone made a comparison between the Submariners in the low segment.
You are only missing the MG Orkina, Bliger & Carnival (Whose bezel action is said to be better than the Invicta)
Carnival sounds like a good one. Isn’t the Bliger more like a Tevise?
@@PerthWAtch Not at all actually
First-off, the Bliger gives you a choice between two movements-
A hacking Guangzhou Mingzhu 2813 Automatic movement
or a non-hacking MIYOTA 8215 Automatic movement
Secondly, it comes with Sapphire glass.
Thirdly, according to the blurb 'ceramic' bezel
Forthly, there is an option of a lumed bezel.
Fifthly, the strap definitely looks better
Sixthly, '316L Steel'
And Lastly, it is priced closer to the Loreo
Sound better than the Tevise :)
You're the first watch person other than myself I've seen that has Gundam models. Nice.
You I’m the first you’ve seen who has showed any Gundam? I’m sure there are others but they’ve kept them hidden :D

They are good
I've experienced them all owned them all.the pagani takes it hands down no competition.and you didn't even mention the divers extension on the pagani.smh
I got the Pagani. I think it is the best. 200 m is not that important because I will never dive that deep. Bracelet will be swapped out regularly. So 90 click is the only compromise IMO.
Fair enough! It’s certainly got its strengths among this bunch :)

The final is between the Invicta and the Pagani design.
Yes :)
Invicta for work; Pagani for bling.
FYI I own a Tevise Submariner homage, I paid AUD$38 and it has +20sec/day accuracy. I am wearing every day. If I lose it it won't be a big loss.
Just for fun, a real Rolex submariner costs 450 times compared to a Tevise.
BTW Starking has homage Omega Seamaster 300M in blue for AUD$143. It looks very nice.
Thanks for sharing that - great to hear that you’re getting great use out of the Tevise. I might take a closer look at that Seamaster homage!

Invicta black dial my favourite. 😊
Classic
i've tried to find a decent ceramic bezel for the Loreo that actually fits, without success. Has anyone managed to find one and if so can I have the link, please?
Would love to know that information too!
For the money, get a PD-1639.
I'd go with the invicta
So many compelling choices :)
Watching this with my loreo
Haha love it :)
I get mine soon it's in the mail takes foreverrrrr.
Liberty Prime hi, watching this with my invicta lol!
Love all my pro divers!
Invicta rocks!
Who Has the best quality bransolet?
Pagani has the best specs but Invicta has the better fit & feel.
Hmm OK I might try to do that specifically some time.
Perth WAtch should I buy one and remove the movement and hack saw it in half? Might be fun!
Happy New Year !!!
Happy new year to you! :)
I just ordered the Invicta for $75 on Ebay. I think it's the best out of the 5 watches and it's brand is more popular then the others.
Definitely more popular, but not necessarily the best
Thanks for that - the Loreo is a solid choice I think, and yeah possibly has the best lume although that’s marginal.
I had a very bad problem, my loreo stopped working only after one week, I sent the watch back to the vendor wyq store in AliExpress and nothing happened, I lost my money and the cost to send it back , if you of someone that can help I would be very grateful
Sorry to hear of your bad experience, that must be frustrating. How do you propose that someone might help you?
Bring it up to AliExpress. They will help you.
Take pictures and choose the dispute option.
Most of the time, Ali would side with you.
Go for the full refund
Haha funny you should mention Marvel... I was eyeing the Captain America (48mm?) one for laughs!!
review homage Steel Dive baby tuna please .......
Which mode is that?
Do you sell watches?
Not commercially. I sell some of the collaboration pieces I get if they are no longer in use.
@@PerthWAtch do you have any Frogman?
Not for sale.
I wish the Invicta had sapphire and brushed gold on the band.
Why so? The Rolex it homages has polished gold.
Lolled at "Perlative chronometer"
It’s worse than that - it’s “Ceranometer” or some crap
@@PerthWAtch yep, ceronometer... 😁
P.S. Waiting for my 8926OB with the ultimate goal to adjust it on par with my W-800H (i.e. 24s/month or better)
I have the Loreo and a few pro divers and the Loreo is much better as far as the build quality is concerned. I'm actually wearing my Loreo right now and it just feels so much better. The nh35 in the invicta is definitely a better movement and is more accurate for me.
Thanks for sharing that Thomas, fair comments and assessments I think!
Consider the MG Orkina Hayner Hawk for about $75 with the NH35A
Thanks - sounds like another comparable option!
Yeah not to mention poorly fitting bracelet links too.
If only the Invicta didn't have "INVICTA" engraved on the side. That's a shame.
@@InGratitudeIamWhy? 😅😂
Paganism does have a divers extension
If you say so... but I prefer not to discuss religion here ;)
@@PerthWAtch LOL, Bloody auto spell
Still impressive what some companies can offer you for the cost of a Rolex spring bar.
Very true 😂😂
I hope these companies make just as many Audemers Piguet homage watches some day...
The Royal Oak? Probably won’t ever be the case unless that somehow becomes a whole lot more accessible and popular...
They already do! I bought a AP Oak from aliexpress and it's a good watch.
@@NathanChisholm041 I've seen a few homages around here and there, but nothing to the extent of Rolex homages.
@@syndicatedsatellite7288 I hate the sub! Both Rolex and all the millions of crappy copys! Most over rated watch on Earth! Im only watching because I enjoy Ivan's videoes
@@NathanChisholm041 Interesting... You should do a video all about that.
I really like the comparison, but what i see is that for 45bucks it's much better to go on DHGATE and buy a replica Rolex and add a cheap nh35a movement, or just ask for a custom made for 80bucks, without the Rolex logo and you'll get almost the same feel as the real one
Not sure what you mean there... for $60-70 you’re getting “almost the same feel as the real one” with most of these pieces.
THE PAGANI IS NICE FOR SURE, BUT IT IS NOT ANY NICER THAN THE INVICTA THEY ARE ON PAR. ALL GREAT VALUES
IT IS NICER FOR SURE - CHECK OUT MY HEAD TO HEAD COMPARISON FOR MORE DETAILS. CHEERS.
@@PerthWAtch I have both. It's not that much nicer.
Yes it is. You should do a video and put your opinion out - don’t you have a channel?
@@PerthWAtch yup sure do and it's one of my 1300 vids
Awesome man, good for you! ATB ;)
as a result of your excellent reviews, i added an all blue loreo sub homage to the collection, and was very favorably impressed--40mm with perhaps a seagull or its clone. this watch tends to purple blue, which is fine for me--big fan of purple. even at 200 meters and screw in crown, i wouldn't subject to much submersion, as with any clone of the submariner--too old to swim anyway. my old rolex datejust from the early seventies survived salt water with a bad crown gasket, but i was lucky...
Thanks for sharing that Greg - glad you got a fair specimen of the Loreo. I think it’s a great watch for the money :)
The watch I'm dreaming about for the New Year is the Pagani Design Aquaracer Homage, it's pretty much exactly like the Tag!!!
Hahaha I love it! :)
This looks more promising (Also Taghauer)

@@possumsam2189 damn that actually looks pretty sweet. Cheers 👍
@@bremertoerien6987 My wrist is 7.5 so that sounds awesome!!
I got the Pagani for $60 including post last week.
Cool!
I have the Invicta quartz two watch. It cost me $49.00. It is my cheapest watch. I am please with it. I wanted a quartz watch . It seems accurate. I always like the two tone blue Rolex, so I bought the clone. My other watches are vintage Omega manual and automatic
Awesome man, thanks for sharing your experience!
I have an invicta coin edge auto a Bliger white sub and a blue Parnis. The Invicta wears most comfortably and is keeping accurate time with an hours lume so it's probably my best. There's big Square metal at the top and bottom of watch and invicta doesn't So it shows even a wrong watchmaker is right once in a while.
Thanks for sharing that - I’m not sure I understand though... what is the “big square metal” you refer to?
@@PerthWAtch where the band connects to the watch is big squared off metal top and bottom. It may be submariner style but invicta isn't like that.
@@PerthWAtch see that ? it's annoying. Regards.

So on my size wrist rhe watch is not sitting flat but raised a bit. The Invicta coin edge is at least a couple of mm smaller across and sits better. Whew !
Ah OK, I get what you mean now. Fair point.
