good technique. I have used pallet wood for projects around my place for years and many made fun of me.....until the covid madness and lumbar prices going crazy. Now some businesses want me to pay for the pallets they used to throw away!!! Lucky for me i still have a free supply, score one for the cheap old guy....me.........lol

Thanks Arnold. I suspect I will have to find a new technique when the pallet supply changes.Yup I'm kicking myself for not recycling pallets sooner. I am going to be replacing all our rotting raised beds with pallet wood over time as I build up a stock of pallets. As I grow older I also become cheaper! 🤣 But mainly I refuse to pay extortionist prices!

Great method for taking the pallets apart! We had a great place for free pallets in Canada but they are hard to come by in Portugal. We’ve only found a few broken ones for free here. Take care and enjoy the beautiful summer weather! 😎

@@FarmsVilla We've only had a few days that were hot here (30+). Overall I find it similar to last year. Missing the Caribbean weather, it’s too damn cold here. 😂

I use in my body shop a oscillating saw and a reciprocating saw .I used the oscillating saw to take a pallet apart .I went through the nails between the blocks and the planks .I then used a punch to drift the nails out or just enough to get vice grips on to pull them out .A reciprocating saw would probably be just as good .

Good idea. Might be even quicker. Will give that a go next time. 👍🏻

@@FarmsVillaMy Dewalt is a oscillating multi tool and use it as a sander aswell as a saw .The saw blades for metal go through nails like a hot knife through butter .
