Rose is my absolute favorite note so I love this list. La Fille de Berlin is the only perfume I've ever bought a backup bottle of, because it's just so gorgeous. It's not one I can imagine being without, I wear it all the time. Just gorgeous.
I have sampled Longo Mai - well, I would add that the rose is quite present there, and after a while can be overwhelming. It is definitely aquatic and salty. It lasts days on the clothes and is it a fantastic smell there, let me tell ya'll! My favourite rose frag is from Alexandre J. Rose Oud. It was a love at first sniff and my very first niche buy. It is a bit spicy, woody, berry-ish rose. At some point it is almost decaying. Just lovely and magnificent. Byredo Rose of no Man's land is a no-brainer, it really is so simple. Like Montale's Rose Musc - I would also call it a lazy perfume, because there is not much work behind, IMO. But I like Montale's Rose Damascus, and love Rose Petals, which holds an airiness and a freshly out-of-the-shower feel, and Attar, which is very dark, mysterious and a mature one. I wore Attar at my grandma's funeral - it gave me confidence and strength. Adriana

Its good that you talk about notes, keep this way. Designing a fragrance with rose is hard, if perfumer doesn't care about some aspects of this note, the fragrance became unfavorable, so good fragrances with rose are special. And I'm happy that you introduce some fragrance that i didn't know before

Check out the Instagram page, the creator 'Liz' posts gorgeous pics of her animals (including a pet owl), she seems so lovely and definitely talented. Tobacco Rose is super sexy, with a rich ambergris base. I'm impatiently waiting for my bottle to arrive but it's a valentine's gift from my husband so I have a few more days to wait. 😊

I LOVE rose fragrances (although have been "pricked" a time or two by since that went a little too feminine due my taste. This list make me SO excited to discover more unisex and masculine roses!!!! (Fun story: I bought a decant or French Leather and discovered after several wears that it was too feminine for me. My wife isn't a fraghead at all and tends to stick to one fragrance at a time. She wore Versace bright crystal for the longest time [she loves the peony note] but after I bought her French Leather by Memo, she wears that!!!) That being said, you mentioned Isnard Longo Mai which has rose AND peony and I'm so interested to try it!!!!
Dominico Caraceni 1913 is a masculine leaning rose fragrance with cypress and frankincense that you should try, it’s my favorite rose scent with Czeche & Speake #88 as a second fave.

Nous sommes aussi allés visiter leur domaine et le propriétaire était passionnant ! J’ai acheté Longo Maï et Pitchoune (une fleur d’oranger très douce et réconfortante) et je les aime beaucoup ! Je viens de commander Lipstick rose de Frédéric Malle (à un super prix), qui apportera quelque chose de différent à ma collection. Je dois absolument prendre le temps de découvrir Lalibela. J’aime énormément Sintra même si le début est très « médicinal » à mon nez, le parfum devient ensuite divin. Je suis en train de regarder plein d’anciennes vidéos de ta chaîne et tu es source d’inspiration ! ❤️ Merci ! Claire

@@jusderose to be honest, not a big fan. I'd choose MFK A la Rose over Longo. I find it very linear and the longevity is not so good. I also ordered Esperida and found them both very fresh. So if fresh is your jam, it's a nice house. Maybe I will try it with a vanilla of some sort as I don't own EM. Thanks though, you've got a great nose!!❣

Interesting list. i am yet to smell those being a rose lover. I have few of my fav rose based frags in my collection that i loved so far which are unisex enough for me. TF nor de noir, TF noir, Dior oud ispahan, MFK oud satin mood, Jovoy rose millesime, Amouage lyric, Guerlain black perfecto by la Petite robe noire etc. Have u tried any of these?
Wow you have quite a list! So happy to hear you like rosy scents. I do know the TF ones and Guerlain Black Perfecto. They're nice fragrances but I wouldn't be able to pull them off! The others I don't know, so thanks for sharing!
Jus de Rose it’s quite dense but as time goes on the rose starts to melt into the chocolate until your left with a delicious smooth woody milk chocolate hours later. Worth a try!

I love rose perfumes, but only the modern ones so I really don’t like Frederic Maille perfumes, they all smell like old ladies for me. :) I also like them with a twist, so the Byredo one just doesn’t cut it for me. I had to order Longo Mai, sounds like something that I could be wearing during the day. My favorite rose perfumes are both from Jo Malone: Velvet Rose and Oud (my winter fragrance) and Rose and White Musk (I get a lot of compliments on that) Edit: I really have to try Superbia, it sounds like something I would really love. I love Rose mixed with oud but I’m super picky about it, I don’t like when it’s too strong.
Jus de Rose yes definitely, we are so lucky that there are plenty of brands/scents to chose from nowadays. Preference also changes with age (at least for me), so maybe in a few years I will appreciate the Frederic Maille perfumes. Jus de Rose I ordered Hummingbird from Zoologica. It is a risky one because I blind ordered it but based on the notes and the reviews on Fragrantica, it is something that I will most probably love.
Holly at Memoize is THE go to creative director for the 'Bermuda Triangle' that is leather-rose-oud. I once commented on someone's review video that a significant number of Memoize fragrances smell like twins or at least siblings. The uploader simply replied with a 'No they all smell COMPLETELY different and are nothing alike'. Er, to use the word 'completely ' is a stretch and the UA-camr in question was either ethically compromised around the time of their upload regarding the output of this brand or their nose needs an urgent appointment with a neti pot. I have a large clutch of Memoize fragrances and out of them Superbia, Temperantia, Industria and Tristitia smell like siblings; they look very similar with small tweaks to their features. Tristitia has a prominent 'civet' note so that's how I immediately identify it when spraying (civet often smells like 'farty packing cardboard'; not a realistic faecal smell, nor of realistic sulphurous flatulence but a distinct 'farty poo' smell you only get on certain kinds of carboard, do you know the smell?). Castoreum goes into zoo enclosure territory a lot of the time and I think a really experienced, sophisticated nose out there could do a highly educational video about the different animalic notes and how they interact in a blend, how to spot the difference etc. Animalics are like honey, in that, when I see it listed I immediately know a great risk is coming; it will either be glorious or a hideously unpleasant mess. Anyhow, Superbia is probably one of my favourite rose-oud-leathers in this dangerously appealing 'Bermuda' triangle genre. I also like Temperantia if memory serves correctly because there's a heavy, vintage leather note running through it that smells serious and more genuinely unisex and more traditionally masculine. I would love to hear how other rose-leather-oud connoisseurs evaluate and find their favourites when sailing this perilous part of the olfactory ocean. Just so much to choose from that smell incredibly similar so it really is difficult to say why a composition is more beautiful superior to other options or more suitable for an individual's taste than other 'twin' fragrance out there. Rose-forward fragrances are something I'm intensely demanding and fussy about (same as amber-forward fragrances). Thank you for your charming and inspiring video. You looked exceptionally beautiful in this video, I mean it...wow...I just stared at your face as I watched like that weird 9 year old kid on the train who has no shame in staring at you the entire journey. (Everybody stares at you when watching your videos, duh, but dude, not with the creepy facial expression I had :D).

Fair enough! It’s really hard to find a good rose scent isn’t it? I find with this ingredient it especially comes down to personal preference 😊
Jus de Rose yes definitely, we are so lucky that there are plenty of brands/scents to chose from nowadays. Preference also changes with age (at least for me), so maybe in a few years I will appreciate the Frederic Maille perfumes. Thanks for making these videos, they are super interesting and helpful (my credit card isn’t happy though 😂 - I ordered two perfumes recommended in your videos and I only discovered your channel yesterday. I’d better stop binge watching your videos now 😂)

Jus de Rose I ordered Hummingbird from Zoologica. It is a risky one because I blind ordered it but based on the notes and the reviews on Fragrantica, it is something that I will most probably love.

Holly at Memoize is THE go to creative director for the 'Bermuda Triangle' that is leather-rose-oud. I once commented on someone's review video that a significant number of Memoize fragrances smell like twins or at least siblings. The uploader simply replied with a 'No they all smell COMPLETELY different and are nothing alike'. Er, to use the word 'completely ' is a stretch and the UA-camr in question was either ethically compromised around the time of their upload regarding the output of this brand or their nose needs an urgent appointment with a neti pot. I have a large clutch of Memoize fragrances and out of them Superbia, Temperantia, Industria and Tristitia smell like siblings; they look very similar with small tweaks to their features. Tristitia has a prominent 'civet' note so that's how I immediately identify it when spraying (civet often smells like 'farty packing cardboard'; not a realistic faecal smell, nor of realistic sulphurous flatulence but a distinct 'farty poo' smell you only get on certain kinds of carboard, do you know the smell?). Castoreum goes into zoo enclosure territory a lot of the time and I think a really experienced, sophisticated nose out there could do a highly educational video about the different animalic notes and how they interact in a blend, how to spot the difference etc. Animalics are like honey, in that, when I see it listed I immediately know a great risk is coming; it will either be glorious or a hideously unpleasant mess.
Anyhow, Superbia is probably one of my favourite rose-oud-leathers in this dangerously appealing 'Bermuda' triangle genre. I also like Temperantia if memory serves correctly because there's a heavy, vintage leather note running through it that smells serious and more genuinely unisex and more traditionally masculine. I would love to hear how other rose-leather-oud connoisseurs evaluate and find their favourites when sailing this perilous part of the olfactory ocean. Just so much to choose from that smell incredibly similar so it really is difficult to say why a composition is more beautiful superior to other options or more suitable for an individual's taste than other 'twin' fragrance out there. Rose-forward fragrances are something I'm intensely demanding and fussy about (same as amber-forward fragrances).
