  • This is my 2 years and a half piano progress rendition of Franz Liszt's Liebestraum No.3 . Liebestraum is my favorite classical piece. It sound interesting, beautiful and fascinating which made me fell in love at once I listen to this masterpiece.
At first I'm about to learn this piece just to practice my sight reading and improve my piano skill, however I've got more than that. I found the importance of harmony in music which I don't really care before. This piece show me how impressive the harmony does to the whole piece. Despite the melody is really simple but the harmony help enhancing the piece and give different colors to the music. This is going to be good lesson for me to pay more attention in harmony in my piano arrangement. Romantic harmony is really beautiful and unique.
    ---------------------------
What's going on in my life?
Last week I just have an music exam for the first time in my life. The test is about interval and rhythm aural identification, music theory, sight singing and clapping. My most disappointed part is the sight clapping. The rhythm pattern is really simple but I fail miserably because I'm nervous. The other part is very easy just the sight clapping part that I feel disappointed in myself. This is another good lesson that sometimes I overthink about it and failed just because of myself.

Sure, it's for sure not a piece for beginner. It has fast passages part with many position changing on both hand. If you're complete beginner, I suggest you to find other easier piece to play first that help you improve your technique. I used to play difficult piece when I was beginner and end up on blaming myself also the performance was bad. It's better to enjoy easier piece and slowly improve your technique so you won't end up given up on piano. At one point, you will know that you ready to play this piece.

The more weight key weight, the better it is and It will be really helpful for your finger muscle (espescially if you'll play upright or grand piano in the future). Also the speaker is very important. Sometimes just listen through internet wasn't enough. The sound sample from the recording might be good, but it would be pointless if the speaker can't provide it's quality. My piano has an amazing speaker and sound which is why I recommend.
