- Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Return Policy Trophy Guide - Kill 10 Enemies by Returning Shots with the Void Reactor [Bronze]
First you must buy the weapon called "Void Repulser". It can be bought from Ms. Zukron, costs 17,500, becomes available at the end of Planet 4: Savali.
Now you must level up the Void Repulser to Level 5 by hitting enemies with it. At Level 5 it turns into the "Void Reactor" (weapon name changes).
With the Void Reactor hold L2 to create a shield and collect bullets that enemies shoot at you. When done correctly the shield will turn purple and you will see glowing purple dots on the right side that indicate how many bullets it has collected. When the shield is purple press R2 to shoot back the bullets at enemies. Make sure you have plenty of distance between you and the enemy so they actually get killed by the bullets and not by the shield's blast! These bullets aren't homing in on enemies, they will fly in a straight line - so make sure your reticle is centered at the enemy and only shoot at enemies that are standing still.
This can quickly be farmed in the 1st Bronze Battleplex Challenge "Welcoming Committee". Defeat the enemies in the 1st wave, then in the 2nd wave some pirates spawn that shoot slow projectiles at you. Defeat them using the returning shots, finish the remaining waves, and repeat the challenge again until you have the trophy.
It's best not to buy any upgrades (the ones that cost Raritanium) for the Void Repulser / Void Reactor, because it can increase the Shield's blast radius so far that the blast kills the enemies and not the projectiles! You can still do it if fully upgraded, but the enemies will need to be much further away at the opposite end of the arena.

For anyone struggling with this trophy like I was, you’ve probably upgraded too much and it’s too powerful to get the shots properly in the arena. I went to Sargasso, at the bottom of the map near the Vendor (handy if you run out of ammo) shoot the mosquitoes near the swamp. If you kill them all & the trophy hasn’t popped, quit to the main menu and they will respawn. Took me two goes. After 2 hours in the arena I got it in 5 mins at this spot easy peasy. I hope this helps someone else!

@@harshitrakhiani8833 how did it take you that long I got to lvl 5 in like 20 or so minutes, the shield blast kills weak enemies in 1 hit, i just kept reloading a check point and killed the ameboids on underwater station world (sorry i forgot the name). Getting the trophy sure but surely not levelling it up

@@harshitrakhiani8833 yea right fair enough...that would have taken a painful amount of time, need to make use of the combat encounters as they come up especially when there is heaps of tiny enemies, something to keep mind for next time then haha
So I spent hours on this trophy, trying to follow everyones comment then I figured it out and got it really quickly. The main thing you need to do is collect the bullets and fire when the aim marker is white. If it is red then its too close. No need for unlimited ammo, should be pretty quick this way. Good luck everyone!

It’s my least favorite weapon to use, it’s pretty forgettable
For everyone struggling to get this trophy. Make sure you’re far enough to kill them with the bullets, not the blast.
ALSO make sure to return the bullets to the SAME PERSON you intercepted it from. You will not get the trophy if you shoot back the bullets to another character.
What Id do is leave one alive and shoot him back with his own bullet to not get confused.
So that’s why it’s taking me so long, appreciate the help bro 👍🏻

I found a very easy way to get this trophy!! DO NOT UPGRADE THE WEAPON!! Just level it up and go play the "Pest control" challenge at Zerkies. Hold L2 and collect the balls that the flying insects shoot, now stand back then kill them. They only take 1 hit and i got it on 1 or 2 times replaying this challenge!! Please tell others!!

My Void Repulser was half way through level 1. Leveled it up quick using infinite ammo and the XP increase armor (not sure if that made a difference) on 'Vroom Around" arena. Had it level 5 in 10 to 15 minutes. Then went to the 'Welcoming Committee" arena and eventually got the trophy to pop. Good hunting.

Another tip. Turn the difficulty all the way up to increase enemy shots fired.
The blast has a large range of attack.
The correct way to do this is make the shield purple with 6 attacks and when you shoot you must be far from the enemies. Shoot not the enemies but aim a free part of the screen. The purple bullets will go to the enemies and you don't kill with the blast is the weapon.
What I Did: Get infinite ammo and health (ain't hard to collect bolts) and if you want get captain xp armour. Do the Vroom arena one, levels up the weapon faster, yes the flying enemies are annoying but it's better xp. Once you get to level 5 go to pest control arena, max difficulty level and left loose.

Guys, don't use the Infinite Ammo Cheat Code. Just play Pest Control and farm it there. If it worked for me, it'll work for you.
I finally platinumed the game last night and this particular trophy was the hardest and most irritating to get. Your video helped big time so thank you very much!
I am color blind…the whole purple thing doesn’t work for me.
What I found that did work is to keep shield up until you feel a heavy vibration from the controller, that is signaling a full charge.
When you use R2 you are shooting a close range shotgun type blast, (which does not count for trophy), AND a longer range projectile.
You are trying to aim at further enemies to hit with the projectile shot. Careful, the AI “knows” when shield is full charge and the further enemies will dodge roll when you first aim their way.

I notice a lot of people are having trouble with this. One thing I think a lot of people miss is if you get too close you're going to be killing them with the blast. You want to see where the shots are being caught by the shield and sort of "aim" those shots at them when you hit the R2 to return fire. If you keep hitting them with the shield blast instead of the returned shots its not going to count.
I think people are doing it before they have the skill which is only on the beefier version of the gun in NG+

I can't get this trophy to pop. I am keeping my distance but its still not popping. I wish there was a way to tell how many you killed in the menu or something.
Might be able to look at the trophy progress on the home screen for the game. I was able to see my progress for the 29 blizar crystals I had to hit might be able to do the same for this one? Worth a try.

You have to do this with the weapon at level 5. At level 5, it turns white and the more projectiles you absorb, the more purple it turns. If there’s a way to do it before getting the weapon to level 5, I sure as hell don’t know how. I sat here for like thirty minutes trying until the weapon upgraded while I was doing the “Pest Control” challenge. Once it hit level 5, it took me like 20secs literally to complete it and get the trophy for it. Thought this might help
In order to quickly level up the weapon and get the trophy easier i tried the pest control silver challenge in the arena and turned the difficulty down to easy temporarily so my character wasn't affected by the poison gas. Hope that helps.

You need to kill the enemies with the projectiles, be careful not to kill them with the energyblast. Just gotta keep a lot of distance to make sure, that doesn't happen.

For people struggling with this trophy I might have a reason most aren’t getting it even when they are not hitting when the blast. I did the trophy when I got 10 kills when the shield turns fully purple the first 10 kills after trying this popped the trophy for me
The weapon need to be upgrade to level 5. Otherwise it wont work. When the weapon is on level 5, the shield will turn to white color, and when you press L2, it will absorb the bullet / projectile from enemies, and turn it into purple orbs, floating inside the shield. Then you can fire the purple orbs at enemies using R2.
Note : The shield only turn to white color when its on level 5. Level 4 and below is pink color.
You can use unlimited ammo for this throphy. Even unlimited health.
Do you level up by using the shield or using ammo? It's the only gun i can't level up and it's doing my head in.
Bumping as this is the only one proper advice. Indeed, weapon changes color ONLY on lvl 5. Get Golden Bolt and lvl it up on arena
hey guys, so i found the easiest way to level up the void repulser after getting exhausted of running out of ammo.
if you’re going for the platinum, i’d assume you already have finished the game and have all the gold bolts. if not; finish it, go get them, and then come back to this trophy. after you do, go to collectibles and scroll all the way down to the “infinite ammo” bolt. turn it on and enter an arena at zurkies! after that, kill enemies with the shield burst to level it and all cake:)

Wich is the best arena option (Say the bronze/silver/gold rank and arena "number") to farm the EXP quicker?

Made us do this but got rid of trophies for collecting all the gold bolts, beating challenge mode, leveling up all the way and fully upgrading all guns lmfao
so happy i read the comments when it didn't work when i got to what i thought was 10. remember: sheild has to be purple, set difficulty up highest to get them to fire at you more, wait for target to be white not red. I had infinite ammo on, auto aim & lock on turned off. Did all that and got it in one round.

For anyone who's open the shield and it's already purple, you should level the weapon to 5.vl, and it will work .. i hope that's will help someone

You maybe killing enemies with the shield itself, you have to hit them with the returning bullets only.
It's a sucky trophy basically.
Make sure you have distance just in case you hit them with the blast and not the bullets. its a stupid trophy, thats all
I've found you can catch a shitload of shots very quickly by having the topiary sprinkler hit your shield. Then just snipe enemies.

Hey everyone, I got the trophy today so if anyone wanted to know how to get it. If you got the gold bolt that says infinite ammo push enable and next Use L2 to hold the shield open just to until it’s purple and if your controller shakes, use R2 to use it on enemies right now and the trophy will pop in Bronze Challenge!

This trophy is easy if you collected all the gold bolts and turn on "Infinite Ammo" and grind the "Pest" challenge to level up your weapon. Also if you equip the armor set where it gives you 20.0% XP, it levels up faster
Equipping armor sets doesnt actually do anything, its just for looks. the bonuses are passives that take effect once you collect the entire set. Its "collection" bonus not "equip" bonus

I just got this trophy!! My advice:
1) Gun needs to be level 5 in order to return the bullets back at the enemy
2) Restart the game in challenge mode (creates a separate save state) and play thru a bit till your at the part where you discover the yellow dimension glove rift thing. When you have to jump up to your left thru a rift when a train pull up and enemy says “Like my ride bro?!”. This guy is a shooting enemy and by himself. Use the gun, kill him, restart from checkpoint 10 times. Worked for me

Don't know why people say it's the hardest trophy in the game,stop wasting your time in the arena just go to sargasso then go at the bottom of map near the vender first collect 4 shots of the mosquitos then fire at them if they all die quit then start game and remember you must shoot when the aimbar is white if it's red then you gonna kill them just by blast,good luck guys
Level up weapon to level 5! YOU CAN SHOOT ANY ENEMY TO HELP! You can also do PEST CONTROL to level up. Once at level 5 just do SILVER CUP PEST CONTROL! MUCH QUICKER! It's about 5 shots to collect from the enemy or until controller vibrates when it's ready to shoot (don't just press r2) shoot enemy when aim ring is white not red!
You have to get the purple/pink dots to hit the enemy and kill them 10 times for the trophy to pop

there's a bug that bothers me. whenever I use the shield the game switches the void reactor with another weapon. I can't use the shield as long as I want to. I can only use it for split second
I wish there were more challenge trophies. Almost all trophies are earned in one playthrough, with only really this and the CraiggerBear trophies being the ones you have to go out of your way to get

Will just share how I managed it. Look for the PowerPyx video for the Boing trophy. In that dimension after you've jumped onto the platform after Clank you can use the Void Reactor on two goons, restart the checkpoint and farm it. Hope that helps, apologies if its been mentioned already.
To make this easier collect all the gold bolts so you can enable infinite ammo, turn the difficulty all the way down, upgrade the returned bullet damage and make sure you arent hitting them with the blast, got this trophy in 5 minutes.
Do you know if it matters if you restart to last check point each time after wave 2? I've been going for an hour

Honestly the arena is like the worst section to do this in because of how small the area is. So much easier to get this trophy by killing the flying bugs that shoot poison at you from afar.

It’s all fun, but i killed over 50 of em and still don’t get the trophy. I even had the Peuple shield and all
Finally got the platinum. Use infinite ammo plus upgrade the weapon to level 5. Collect orbs until the shield becomes purple. The blast radius is wide so aim anywhere on the screen because the orbs auto-lock. I got the trophy easily like that. Hope it helps

This is the most idiotic trophy ever, I already upgraded this gun completely by the time I wanted to get a platinum trophy for the game. And I see this stupid trophy and I'm sitting here on "Welcoming Committee" and it's literally the most annoying thing on earth. I don't even know how to get this at this point with it fully upgraded **suffering from success** Christ just end me. 😢

Wasted like an hour not knowing I could restart checkpoint to make it count. Annoying af, just keep restarting checkpoint after round2/when out of ammo & U'll get it.

What’s the best way to get this trophy, if you have it fully upgraded aswell.
Hear me out! You can get a „infinite ammo“ Gold Bolt on the first planet of the Game. Then you Just have to grind the Last Gold Challenge against the Bosses for like 2-3 times, just using the void weapon. You should have the Weapon on lvl 5 By then. After that you have to upgrade everything the weapon has to offer, besides the upgrades That increase the firing Range. Then just repeat the first bronze Challenge. You should have the trophy After your First run there! (Keep in mind that the crosshair has to be white otherwise of doesnt count
Got it during ng+. Just turned on infinite ammo and invincibility. Took maybe a couple minutes max.
Can someone tell me how to level up the void blaster to get retuning fire? Stuck on level and haven't unlocked returning fire so can't get the last trophy. Do you level up by using the shield or by getting kills with it?
When you first beat Dr Nefarius and then meet Emperor Nefarius, you are tasked to go back to Sargasso with Rivet. You land at the planet kill a bunch of enemies. Then next sequence will be a ton of small robot heads and small purple acid frogs. This is your checkpoint. Farm your void gun. The void shield will obliterate those multiple small enemies. Reload checkpoint once ammo is gone. Once its level 5, those robot heads will shoot lasers which the shield can absorb. Took me 2 purple shields to blast 10 enemies ,and less than 15 mins to get this trophy done.
Just to confirm you can use infinite health and ammo and still get the trophy?

Messed up thing is my sheild is always purple from the start so this trophy doesn't work for me
I was struggling with this trophy, spent almost 5 hours on it, what I did was I got all the gold bolts to get infinite ammo then headed to zordoom prison and took my time with the nefarious laser robots, suck in all the laser then shot it back and finally the trophy popped
For whatever reason, I cannot seem to do this trophy! Gun is level 5 and following the process in the video and in the comments. I'm pretty sure I've been getting the kills but the trophy still won't pop!

It didn't take long for me to get it.I took advise from the comments.If your fully upgraded it's fine it doesn't matter.
Be at a distance and take fire I used unlimited ammo.Make sure that marker where you aim is white(Meaning you should not be shooting directly at enemy) .Then return fire when shield is purple.
If you are still struggling with this trophy try activating infinite ammo and setting the mode to easy
My gun dont have those red pellets so how am i suppoed to return fire

The problem is that my shield is already purple from the start and it doesn’t gather the projectiles. Wtf? Is this bugged?
It’s not at level 5. Before that it is always blue.

Such a terrible trophy, boring as anything, weapon is trash too, killed enemies from a huge distance using the shockwave attack.
Trophy is bad but the weapon is pretty good after you level and upgrade it abit
Play it on hard mode
@@motchness Was playing on normal, got the platinum now, hope they do NG+ trophies, did those on Spider-Man remastered.

Atleast it's not as bad as the Disco Ball trophy from Ratchet and Clank PS4
I don’t understand this trophy at all. I’m not collecting the bullets at all, just absorbing them.
This trophy is seriously TRASH. It is basically delaying my plat at this point. Ive upgraded it the "REACTOR" and ive replayed the challenge numerous times, absorbing the pink shots, distancing myself and firing back over and over and over. How have I not done it 10 times is beyond me. Very annoying trophy.
EDIT: Got it. You really need to be like on opposite ends of the stage range lol
How the hell did you level it up? I'm still at level 2 because I didn't use it in the whole game because it is trash.
@@sergioingame1555 i still used it to blast enemies back and that leveled it up here and there. I think i only had it level 3 by the time i got close to the end and focused on the trophy though.
