@@nick_ar It's my favorite, and very enjoyable. It's similar to Crash/Spyro/Ratchet so if you liked those, you'll like the Jak & Daxter trilogy. There's even a racing game called Jak X. You can play them all on PS5, but they're all PS2 store ports so expect PS2 graphics. They didn't get the remake treatment like Crash, Spyro & Destroy all Humans. Hopefully someday they will, but just know Jak is still worth playing. Fun fact: Uncharted was the successor to Jak, and then came The Last of Us. Jak laid the foundation for Naughty Dog to make those 2 franchises. They still honor Jak & Daxter to this day through easter eggs in their newer games.

That skill point for getting under 1:35 on that hoverboard race in the first game was the hardest trophy in the remake for PS4, at least for me. It took me hours of tries. But now that you did it on the original game, I'm sure it will be no problem for you on the remake! Just insane. You're probably my favorite channel that does these platinum journeys!
I had no problem with that, mainly doing tricks and shortcuts did the job. What I hate about remake trophies was grinding all weapons to max level, and also that trophy where u had to make all types of enemies dance
@paulw858: The remake is easy compared to the original, it only took me a week to get the Platinum for the PS4 game. I still haven't managed to get the Twisty McMarx and Magician trophies even after all these years, have the Platinums for 2 and 3 though and 3 is best one in my one imo.
I am amazed that nick is doing so good with these platniums and the fact that your getting many subs which is obviously hard but your not only standing out from the crowd, your also creating history with these hard platniums from that wheel of platniums you’ve been doing and wow I’ve gotta say you are definitely someone who has sheer determination from a hollow knight to crash bandicoot platniums and smb platniums, I’m excited on what plat your gonna do next keep it up!

You and me are the same age, I don't see my dad much anymore due to my parents divorce but I have played every Ratchet and Clank game, and we used to play every game together. I cherish this franchise with all my heart, seeing it on your channel has brought tears to my eyes. Such fond memories, I still remember every game like it was yesterday.

Heh, your last RC1 skill point was also my first. As a kid when I realized how those slingshots were placed, I tried to sling my way through the entire thing without hitting the floor. It felt very satisfying, and it was also how I learned that the game had skill points, just like the PS1 Spyro games.

I too platinum the Ratchet & Clank trilogy on my PS3 a few days ago 😃 and I even platinum "A Crack in Time" and "Rift Apart" before I did the trilogy, and after the trilogy i platinum "Into the Nexus" yesterday. Also, I don’t have to platinum "Tools of Destruction" since the game doesn’t have any trophies, but I’m fine with that. Ratchet & Clank are one of my favorite video game series of all time, and I’m so happy that I got them platinum. Like your videos, hope you have a great day 😊
I dunno if anybody else mentioned this already, but you in fact can strafe in R&C 1. Double-tap the crouch button while you have the jet pack equipped, and you'll be able to accurately hover left, right back & forth, allowing you to strafe and more easily take out your foes!

It's amazing how you make getting THREE platinums look so easy in your videos, but it's only because of the clips you put in, but it's still amazing. Keep up the great videos and platinums :)
Nice I just finished doing this a few days ago. I bought the collection about 3 years ago. I first beat and Plat Going Commando, as I've replayed that the most in my life as a kid and adult. Then I went to the first one. Without the weapon upgrading I don't like it as much, also it's actually a LOT longer than I remembered as a kid. I beat it and got all skill points/trophies except for the 3 hoverboard race ones, as well as getting 1 mil bolts. I also started challenge mode, but only beat the first 4 or so planets. Then I quit and packed it away. 3 years later (about a month ago) I wanted to replay UYA. So I brought the PS3 back from the basement (since it's annoyingly not backwards compatible) and beat and 100% UYA. Then I knew I had a little left of R&C1 to do, so weeks went by and I finally decided to just get it done. So last weekend I booted it up, breezed through challenge mode since I already had all gold guns and the RYNO. Once I got to the last planet I went back and mopped up my last skill points and trophies, including the 1 mil bolts which is annoying, as in my save, the huge amount of boxes on the race track by glitching out of the map weren't there. But I was able to use a different smaller set of boxes and turns out I got it quicker than I realized and didn't need to have it on overnight, but I missed the achievement popping while I was out. Then I went back and beat the final boss on challenge mode (albeit unnecessary).
Never thought I'd see you get all 3 Platinums from a game series I love so dearly! Also, don't think I didn't hear that music at the end, does that mean that R&C deadlocked would be a possibility? :)

Man, the hoverboard races in the first game are such a nightmare for a completionist. I somehow managed to make it on my PS2 (not without some intense swearing, but still), but the Vita version... Hell no. I'm not gonna waste my time on this anymore. You are definitely a very, very patient man!
That was amazing! I think the hardest of all the skill points on all 3 games was the one where you max nanotech on 2. And that’s only because of the glide section! Congrats on getting that one! And all the others. I know how much of a grind that is! Small note in case you want to do this grind again (or for anyone who wants to do it now): on 2 and 3, the crystals that you gather and then sell fetch a much higher price when you sell them in challenger mode. This helps get the weapons upgrades and the big money much faster. In addition, on 3 collecting all the crystals in the sewer in challenger mode helps level up weapons and nanotech much faster!
This was awesome, felt like I had a teammate going through the trophy grind with me this summer. Especially for the unnecessarily difficult stuff where I almost threw my controller. I 100%’ed these games in elementary/ middle school on the PS2, summer before college on PS3, and now after graduating law school on PS5. Even talked my wife into playing some with me. You can hover strafe in the first game by equipping the jet pack then double pressing the crouch button (iirc)and them holding the l2 and r2 once hovering to strafe
It's crazy to see how well the graphics have held up after all these years. These 3 games are almost as old as I am and they still aren't absolutely painful to look at after all these years.
Thought I left a comment here but guess not, I absolutely adore this trilogy, with going commando being my absolute favorite game. Love the weapons like the bouncer and mega rocket cannon, along with the comedy in the story with the thug leader and thief. Ratchet’s character was also adjusted to not only be more kinder to clank (after all, it was an earned friendship since the end of the last game), but to be more tough and strong like a real commando. I have platinum’d Ratchet 1 and 2 a year ago and I still need to clean Up Your Arsenal.
Absolutely love this serious and I have some of them but they were just hard for me to get 5 years ago but now this encourages me to get them all now and keep doing what you do man

My father showed me the first game when I was about four, although I didn't understand english at that time I loved the series from the start with great planets, music, weapons and that urge to collect more bolts haha. Just thank you for this video, it was pure joy to see you enjoy them too. I tried to platinum them in 2020 and done only Ratchet Gladiator ( in NA it's Deadlocked, more arena focused but really recommend it to you as well ;) ) because after that my ps3 died for good :/ And so I waited out of curious if they'll release it on new ps plus on 20th anniversary, and they freaking did it (as you played too). In March 2023 I hit the platinum on the 3rd, 2nd one last Wednesday, and 2 two hours ago I finished the first one. I just played thru them in reverse order. Forgot how frustrating these games were, I don't remember it being this frustrating when I was younger but it feels good to be able to play them again.

These ratchet & clanks trilogy’s are seriously the best ps2 games from back in the days, and so as Ratchet Deadlocked.

These are my childhood games. Going Commando is by far the most underrated in the series and easily my favorite.

Love the weapons like the bouncer and mega rocket cannon, along with the comedy in the story with the thug leader and thief. Ratchet’s character was also adjusted to not only be more kinder to clank (after all, it was an earned friendship since the end of the last game), but to be more tough and strong like a real commando. I have platinum’d Ratchet 1 and 2 a year ago and I still need to clean Up Your Arsenal.
Absolutely love this serious and I have some of them but they were just hard for me to get 5 years ago but now this encourages me to get them all now and keep doing what you do man

Watching this gave me flashbacks to that glider nanotech in R&C2, instead of flying through the whole course you can just pull straight up after he jumps off at the start and I feel it makes it easier
This was super fun trilogy to platinum on stream a couple months back, I also went ahead and completed Deadlock just because I wanted more R&C.

My father showed me the first game when I was about four, although I didn't understand english at that time I loved the series from the start with great planets, music, weapons and that urge to collect more bolts haha. Just thank you for this video, it was pure joy to see you enjoy them too. I tried to platinum them in 2020 and done only Ratchet Gladiator ( in NA it's Deadlocked, more arena focused but really recommend it to you as well ;) ) because after that my ps3 died for good :/ And so I waited out of curious if they'll release it on new ps plus on 20th anniversary, and they freaking did it (as you played too). In March 2023 I hit the platinum on the 3rd, 2nd one last Wednesday, and 2 two hours ago I finished the first one. After that I enter yt and your vid just got recommended for me like bruh (they really know what I smoke). Also didn't know we're the same age. Cheers dude, gg!

Fun fact in Ratchet 1 of you have the Rocket Clank equipped if you double tap R1 you would float and you can strafe fire in that mode.
