i saw d21c 3 times and anyone that missed it missed a great show. good enough i drove from tampa to atlanta. i agree this video is not the greatest sound but when they first opened tampa the crowd was apprehensive til astbury opened his mouth and they went nuts. believe it or not he channeled morrison sounded like him and looked like him, without camping it up or trying. he was just a great fit and densmore sucks for shutting it down. hell come out and play mr. d, we would love to see you too!
RIP Ray (Manzarek) Barb and I saw this incredible group in Rochester NY armory, and Robbie did an incredible impromptu "Spanish Caravan"bad reviews of Doors in here in Portland Or (Jim With Hat?) by those who remembered the show, but we all mourn the loss in France of J>Morrison,of Virginia,USA, and the album by Electra following the passing of J.Morrrison was played in my early youth and around, after the Dorrs persea ,and I hope John Densmore and R.Kriegers son are well and we thank them for the tour of Riders on the Storm and THE INCREDIBLE UNDERSTUDYS! Chris B. Young
Manzarek and Krieger were more than 50% of the Doors. Wrote, arranged, and were in charge all the time. Rest of the band here are excellent. Professionals and experienced musicians. Am so glad as a vintage Doors fan 40 yrs ago, to hear and see this music performed now. Thanks always Ray, Robby, Ian, and Powerhouse ridm section. Sorry 4got names:( Bass n drum always always behind but soild/flexible foundation in this case. grande.
People aren't fair to Ian Astbury. He can sing, and he did some fine work with the Cult. There will only be one Jim Morrison. We shouldn't expect him to be an exact duplicate of Morrison. I applaud the Doors for getting back together and making a go of it. This wasn't a great performance, and overall... the 21st Century Doors are disappointing, but for these legendary rockers still be going 30+ years after is awesome. I'd pay to go see them with Astbury
@heathisaballer22 Its cool thatyour a big jim fan, hay i am too but ian didnt do a bad job by any means, for example black sabbath, did anyone think anyone could replace ozzy hell no, then there was ronnie james dio,
@axel4clover1 No one could replace Ozzy, just like no one can replace Jim, further more the Doors without Jim is just wrong IMO, Jim WAS the band. The other guys are talented no doubt to that, but they'd of gone NOWHERE without Jim, or not nearly as far as they did.
That is Ian Astbury of The Cult. Gain some knowledge, before flaunting your ignorance like it is something that should be valued... Show a lil respect, at least to yourself Josephine.
Anyone that thinks that Ian is faking it doesnt get Ian, Watch ANY CULT video. This is who he is. Awesome showman and singer.
Can't get Enough of Ian Astbury....
I saw them live in Germany in 1998 - a perfectly performed gig. Never to forget! The sound here is great. Ian is doing a great job.

Ian Astburry from The Cult
Ian Astbury looks like Alex Skolnick.

this is what jim probably would've sounded like if he lived to be that old...

no way there arre lots that could have done a much better job than this singer eddy vedder to name just one!!
his voice is too thin too fit the doors...

Ian needs to sound a little younger to sound like Jim.

Good stuff but not too happy with the vocals! Not even close to the lizard king!
