I can’t believe I have to say this in 2023, but I guess I do after having to remove two comments already: any unprovoked personal and/or misogynistic attacks against Katherine Legge (or anyone for that matter) will be deleted, full stop. While I do not believe she was, this would be the case even if Legge were unequivocally 100% at fault for the accident. Your right to spew hate does not trounce my right to deem your comments unacceptable on my channel.
I am old enough to remember when Indy was the pinnacle of innovation and car teams showed up with their latest creations. Today we have cookie cutter machines restricted to two engine manufacturers. Indy is still the most wicked race on the planet, but imagine how much greater it would be if it was all inclusive to manufacturers, designs, and racers. BTW, Bonneville salt flats is a close second.
I wonder if course lights were on?.. or if the radio was keyed open while the caution call was coming through?.. Legge seemed stunned that the field suddenly slowed..
They run to get race day set up for the car. They will be in a big long line during the race. They need every chance to see what the car will do in race set up.
I see it a couple ways. Maybe there could be more spotters say 20 more. Isn't slower and faster traffic part of the race? It's much harder to see in these cockpits with safety in mind and the restricted head movement and the windscreen. This was not a crash where that was a cause because it was straight ahead. She has been out of IRL racing, but she's been in sports car series. What is my conclusion? I really don't know.
@@bcschneider53 Yes sir. Well looking forward...and to the race. I'm definetly getting there earlier than last year. I told my wife no continental breakfast this year 🇺🇸😆
He was ready ended! So what happened? The other Driver wasn’t paying attention when the field slow down? Where were the spotters telling the driver yellow flag, slow down?!
Katherine has been testing and racing race cars for years, she qualified, she deserved to be there. Wreaks happen, this wasn't even her fault. Overreact much.
@@maximumblue8394 Absolutely. She came back to IMS and was the only driver of the four RLL cars to lock in before the Last Row Shootout. Faulting her ability for a chain reaction crash that could have happened to anyone is not the right move here.
@@maximumblue8394 people who don’t compete, who are not real athletes…especially guys who are tired of being teased because they lose to women ALWAYS say the same thing. Ignoring the fact that Canapino has NEVER raced open wheel, and Legge has proven credentials in racing. Unlike Endless Nameless who we are NOT sure can parallel park let alone drive.

After dodging a bullet with Enerson and O’ward, the spotters really muffed this one. There needs to be spotters on every corner, not just turns 1@3.
Graham Rahal said "Indy can be tough, and they weren't tough enough - and will not look for a ride other than with his team".

I’m really gutted for Stefan. If Graham is unavailable, Sage Karam would be a great last minute option. He knows the team and is always fast…
I'd be more than okay with RLL giving Graham a ride and helping with the financials that D&R/Cusick must deal with being a one-off entry.

I think the conclusion is that it was an unfortunate racing incident, and such is the nature and risk of this sport sometimes.

My first thought is…. Graham is available…
Graham seems too obvious, but as we discussed, that manufacturer conflict may prove to be a difficult workaround…
@@bcschneider53 It has been too long for Sage, J.R. was in the race last year and finished 12th and is the best option IMO

She should not be in that field. It’s too fast, especially this year, and too dangerous. She hasn’t raced in Indy car in ten years
